Pros:

I've had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Laxnes both in winter 2018, and then again this summer 2026 - we were impressed both times. The staff is friendly, kind and accommodating (include for our food allergies), the facilities and rooms clean and comfortable. The location is great for getting into Reykjavik (either by car or public transport), and it is also a great jumping off point for both the Golden Circle/heading for the south coast, or heading north on the west coast/to the west fjords.
Parking is available on site, and we booked both times with breakfast that was great. Worth noting we had a triple room both bookings, which had an extra twin bed that I found quite comfortable for sleeping.

Cons:

There really isn't anything I did not like. The rooms are not plush, but are always clean and very comfortable

Enttäuschendes, in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel.
Pros:

Gute Lage in Fussnähe zu 2 Supermärkten

Cons:

Leider schlecht gedämmte Fenster. Die Strasse hört man in der Nacht sehr laut. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reduziert und den Preis leider nicht wert.
