Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Barrie

While the beds were comfortable and the room itself was clean, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service and an extremely uncomfortable encounter with security.

During our time in the pool area, the security guard stood watching us the entire time, which felt unnecessary and unsettling. When we returned to our room, he followed us down the hallway and later knocked on our door claiming our TV was too loud. He specifically said he could hear it with his ear up against the door, which only added to how inappropriate and disturbing the situation felt.

After that interaction, I had an awful night’s sleep. Every noise made me anxious, worried he would be back at the door again. We called the front desk to ask if there had been any noise complaints, and they told us there were none. When we explained how uncomfortable the situation had made us, we were told they would speak to him, but the damage was already done.

I truly don’t understand why our stay needed to be made so uncomfortable, especially since we were barely at the hotel and had plans for most of the day.

On top of that, check-in was frustrating. We were delayed and late for a reservation because only one person was actively helping guests at the desk while others stood by watching. This was particularly irritating since we already had to wait until 3 PM to check in.

Because of these issues, I would not choose to stay at this specific location again.

I didn't like the peameal bacon as it wasn't cooked very well. It should have crispy edges and everything was soggy and un appealing.

The toilet ran from the time we got there and we had to keep working yo stop it from running. In the end, it ended up overflowing.

The beds and bedding were very uncomfortable.

Worst night ever! I stay in many hotels. I enjoy a higher end hotel and definitely do not mind paying more for comfort and accommodations for them. I like too enjoy a pool dip, take part in a gym session, treat myself too a healthy hearty breakfast and get a good njght rest before checking out and continuingon the highway. Last night we were bkt advised a hockey tournament was in town. We didnt sleep at all the kids were banging on all the doors in the hallway the pool you could move the elevator was giant ride for them as if they were at an amusement park never have I experienced a ride too get too a floor so long in my life. Not only did I not get sleep, I did not get too unwind in a pool for 10 mintues nor did I get too enjoy my breakfast. I booked with your hotel for various reasons of accommodation I am promised and you failed miserably unfortunately, I am depleted exhausted and irritable I travel from barrie too sudbury and grabbed a hotel here cause your night stay was terrible, I am missing a day of work cause your establishment and accommodation, I booked a crappy hotel cheap dive of a hotel and I have been treated better then I have at your establishment, I have clean beds clean sheets peace and quite and a comfortable bed I paid 156 for this night and tomorrow's breakfast looks decent. I will never stay at a Hampton ever again! I'm not one too complain however this merets a full on review and refund if I ever thought ine was due, I dont expect i will recieve any compensation however I can control where I stay and moving forward unfortunately I will not be staying at a Hampton, I will stay at a Marriott

The breakfast was absolutely disgusting. The hot food was inedible. The waffle bar was a novelty, but I’m a grown person and I don’t eat waffles with sprinkles, etc..
Also, there was no non-dairy milk for the cereal
It’s 2025, people want to eat healthy.
The bed was really uncomfortable. It was springy and old. The pillows were awful. The linens were old and. The room felt dingy. The light switches were impossible to figure out. It was either really really bright or pitch black.
There was nowhere to fill up a water bottle. I had to pay almost 6 dollars for a bottle of water.
Oh my gosh… the water pressure in the shower was a joke. My room was only cleaned one out of the two days I was there, and it wasn’t because I overslept or anything. I was out of the room all day.
I paid almost $400 a night for a shitty hotel in the middle of nowhere. I still don’t understand how this happened. I was under the impression that Hampton Inn was affordable.

I was given contradicting information and was told we could pay for room in advance, then when my husband showed up to pay for room in advance he was told he could not do it. People were nice, just very frustrating.

Left my glasses in room and now on day 5 nd phone call 7 without resolution HELP, HELP, HELP

N/A - There was nothing we wouldn't recommend. We were very pleased with everything. Hope to stay again on our next trip to Barrie. The floor was very peaceful; walls were not thin, could not hear others.
