During our annual fishing trip to Canada, we have been driving up most of the way from the US, and stopping overnight somewhere in Canada, before finishing out the drive on Saturday morning. This year's choice was the Hampton in Barrie, and it turned out to be a good one. We slept well, everything seemed clean, and the place was relatively quiet. The Receptionist who checked us in, also recommended a local pizza place who would deliver to the hotel, and he called us when it arrived. Turned out to be a great choice for dinner after a long day of driving. For next year's trip, we are definitely considering stopping here again.
Room was spacious, bed and linens fairly comfortable, bathroom well stocked. Breakfast was pretty good.
The toilet was low like a kids toilet. An improvement would be comfort height.The shower/bathtub is outdated. The bathtub has an obvious crack in it (room 408) and the repair has not held.
For breakfast, drinking beverages and eating food out of paper and cardboard is just so tacky.

Die Zimmertüren fallen so laut ins Schloss, dass an Schlaf nicht zu denken war, solange andere Gäste noch ein- und ausgingen. Außerdem sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig.
Clean, great location. Employees were awesome and friendly. We stayed several days and really liked the place overall.
Minor things! Parking can be a struggle and back lot feels very isolated at night.

Hotel is dated and needs renovation. Layout of room was a bit weird because the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom.
This made things a bit inconvenient since we were sharing the room with our adult kids and getting ready took longer than expected because of the room layout.
It was clean,staff were friendly. There was continental breakfast and the timing was good. There was fresh coffee 24 hours. They had a poop disposal bin for dogs.
The back area for dogs was a bit small. There were only western omelettes and sausage for breakfast. A better option would have been scrambled eggs and bacon for my liking.
