When we arrived at theWit Chicago, unfortunately our room was under maintenance, so the hotel moved us to the Westin for the night. TheWit took care of the hotel and even paid for our taxi to get there. While it was certainly an unexpected inconvenience, the way the hotel handled the situation was outstanding.
The next day, we returned to theWit and our room was ready on the 25th floor with a beautiful river view. When we came back to the room later that day, we were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful fruit bowl and two bottles of Evian waiting for us. The General Manager, Morgan, had also left us a personal card apologizing for the inconvenience. That thoughtful gesture really meant a lot to us.
The staff throughout our stay was awesome—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The rooftop was amazing as well and was definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
Despite the unexpected issue when we arrived, theWit went above and beyond to make things right, and they absolutely succeeded. We would definitely recommend staying at theWit Chicago and would happily stay there again! ❤️
Rooms are so nice, it is quiet. Location is perfect.

Location
great location, nice room, great upstairs bar/beatiful and fun. it's not a Ritz, very pricey
very expensive, 2 nights, $1400
My wife and I had a 2 night at this hotel and were so happy we selected this one for our time in downtown Chicago. The location was just a couple of blocks from the Riverfront and our Big Bus tour pickup spot. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was perfect with 2 large windows overlooking downtown. There was a train that went by the hotel but the noise was not bad and did not impact our sleep. We really enjoyed our breakfast each morning and the bar on the lower level was convenient. The entire staff was very friendly. The only negative was the elevators were slow and the $86 per day for parking was excessive. Otherwise I would strongly recommend that his hotel .
Great hotel downtown. Good size clean rooms and decent food and beverage options. As of 7/20 one of 4 elevators is down and at times the block another off for just the upstairs bar so it can take some time to get one.
There is road construction currently ongoing so wasn’t able to get a ride pick up or drop off on front of hotel but they could at the corner down the road.
Safe area and don’t feel unsafe walking around at night. There is a 7/11 real close and lots of good eats pretty close.
Good location but sadly the customer service in this hotel is lacking. The lifts smell like a public WC and desperately need a deep clean. We stayed during my husband’s birthday and he used to a loyal diamond member but we received nothing. I requested an ice bucket and champagne glasses to be delivered to our room for 4pm on his birthday day. At 6pm it still had not appeared. Breakfast bill was wrong every day that we had breakfast in the Chicago tavern state lake restaurant. No late checkout was granted on our day of departure neither. Good luck if you decide to stay here.
I cancelled my booking with the hotel within the stipulated period and after repeated phone calls and emails, have NOT received my refund. Terrible after sales service.
The location is great.
The hotel was not as advertised. We were expecting more of an eclectic, upscale experience. Instead the rooms, food, and service were average. We also had to wait an hour for our car valet.
The location was really convenient for us to get around everywhere we wanted to go. I appreciated being so close to the riverwalk and walking distance to millenium park.
I wasn't a fan of the Roof hosting a private event which caused a ton of people to be wandering in and out of the hotel. It felt a bit uncomfortable to us and the music was quite loud. I also expected to be provided complimentary breakfast for the price we paid. Room service was okay, but the 24% fee added to the tab, along with adding gratuity, was a bit excessive.
