Pros:

A great hotel in a quiet area, very helpful and friendly staff, a wonderful breakfast buffet: I had a very nice stay there and would return if I came back to Prague. One issue with a sink that didn't drain was taken care of very quickly (a big thank you for that!!), and the room was very clean and comfortable.
Some minor things to report are 1) the lights in the room are very low (it was really hard to read before going to sleep), and 2) on the second night a tour group came in late and kept slamming doors again and again and again (this is, of course, not the hotel's fault, but maybe guests could be reminded to not slam doors at nigh? or maybe there could be a sign asking guests not to slam their door?).

A hotel I usually enjoy, but this stay was let down by unhelpful reception service and administrativ
Pros:

The rooms are very good and the breakfast is excellent.

Cons:

I was informed in advance about the parking closure due to renovation and the nearby alternative costing CZK 500 per night, so this was expected.

This time, however, the reception service was disappointing. Of the two rooms I booked, the last-minute room for one person was considerably more expensive, at over CZK 5,000 per night, yet did not include breakfast. I only realised this at check-in; breakfast had been included in my previous bookings. I understand that booking conditions vary, but I would have appreciated a more helpful explanation. The receptionist also seemed unhelpful when handling my request for a company invoice, which I had submitted through Booking.com.

There was also confusion over the city tax. After asking whether I lived in Prague—which I do not—the staff collected the tax, only to apologise and refund it for both rooms at check-out. This felt disorganised and unprofessional.

I would recommend clearer communication about what each rate includes, more consistent administrative procedures and a more welcoming approach at reception. I like this hotel and hope this was just an isolated experience.

Einfach Prag genießen? Dann Mama Shelter!

Einfach alles TOP 🤩 !
Das Mama Shelter Prag hat uns rundum begeistert. Die Lage ist genial, das Hotel ist außergewöhnlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, das Personal topmotiviert, freundlich und aufmerksam.
Das Frühstücksbuffet🥐🥓 ist traumhaft, die Küche 🍕🍔 richtig gut und die BAR 🍺🍸🥃 bietet eine tolle Auswahl – perfekt, um den Tag gemütlich ausklingen zu lassen😇.

Besonders praktisch: Gleich neben dem Hotel befindet sich ein Einkaufszentrum. Die überwach­te Parkgarage (20 Euro pro Tag) ist nur etwa 2 Gehminuten entfernt - Abwicklung alles übers Hotel.
Auch die Straßenbahnstation (Linie 17)🚉 liegt direkt vor der Haustür. In nur fünf Stationen ist man bei der Karlsbrücke – unkomplizierter geht’s kaum!

Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Ein Hotel, bei dem einfach das Gesamtpaket stimmt. Wir überlegen tatsächlich jetzt schon, wann wir wiederkommen können. Eine absolute Empfehlung und für uns ganz klar 5 Sterne⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ !

Good but the service was a bit weak
Pros:

The location is great! Last visit we had the breakfast in the hotel and we were quite disappointed. This time we decided to visit cozy coffee place - Osada, where the breakfast exceeded the expectations and we paid less.

Cons:

I still miss kettle/small coffee machine in the room. It can completely change the feeling when you are able to drink something warm directly in your room in the morning. The hotel staff seems a bit unprofessional (missing some feature what defines that they work for hotel) and some interest in their job would be welcomed!

Erinomainen hotelli Prahan viehättävimmällä alueella
Pros:

Sijainti oli erinomainen, Prahan parhaalla alueella. Henkilökunta oli hyvin ystävällistä ja sängyt mukavat.

Cons:

Siisteydessä hieman parantamisen varaa. Lisäksi huomioitava, ettei huoneessa ole kattolamppua. Huone oli kyllä tunnelmallinen, mutta hämärä.
