My wife and I arrived in Prague and were dropped right at the entrance of Hotel Antik by a Bolt taxi. We walked into reception, only for me to realise I’d somehow managed to leave my mobile in the taxi…which had already disappeared into the chaos of the city centre.
Monika, the receptionist, spotted the panic straight away as I tore through my bags hoping I was wrong. Once it became clear the phone really was touring Prague without me, she didn’t hesitate. She immediately rang Bolt to try to track down the driver, then gave me all the extra contact details I’d need to follow it up.
She didn’t stop there. Monika set me up in a small office with a computer so I could try to track my phone, and she helped translate messages when needed. Twenty-four hours later, thanks to her persistence, we finally made contact with the driver. She took it upon herself to handle the translation and arrange a meeting time, and everything came together perfectly.
She didn’t have to do any of that. Many places would have shrugged and left me to sort it out. Instead, Monika genuinely went above and beyond, and we’re incredibly grateful. She’s a real credit and Ambassador to Hotel Antik.
Thank you to Monika and to the whole team from a very relieved British couple.
Nice small hotel, close the city centre.
Positive: good breakfast, nice rooms.
Negative: rude staff, bad communication.
Clean room. Sad breakfast not included for everyone.
The room was so clean and neat.
The bathroom was small but looks new.
The staff is helpful and the most important the hotel was a walking distance to old town square.
I don’t think we took any ride, during our visit
Location is great and the boutique style room was lovely. My only negative is the breakfast situation. At the time of booking, I was made aware of the breakfast times via message, and again on arrival, however when we were checking out and about to go for breakfast, I was told breakfast was not included in the price, and it was €10 per person a day (I paid €40 all in all).
Had I been made aware of the additional cost, we would have gone elsewhere. The breakfast itself is lovely, I just think there should have been better communication on the hotels part. Would still recommend though
woken up by chambermaids every morning - so forget a lie in on ur holiday — bed was rock hard - bathroom was small but nice - breakfast was good!
Awful
The room was perfect and very clean, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The breakfast was very good. The location is also very good.
The room was pretty basic but nice large bed, bathroom was lovely. View out of the room was nothing to write home about but we werent spending alot of time there. Cant comment on breakfast as didnt include it. Overall it was quiet and clean. However the standout aspect of the hotel is the location - 5 mins walk from the old town square, 15 mins from the castle. Everything was so easy to get to.

Loved Hotel Antik, quiet, convenient, LARGE rooms.
Fantastic hotel. Big rooms, all built from nice materials such as old wood and thick walls. Located in the heart of the historic city, but also perfect for a morning jog. Freidnly staff. Warmly recommended.
I arrived late at night due to a delayed flight (can’t be helped) and the hotel isn’t particularly that well lit, so wasn’t easy to see as the sign blends in. My check in was fine, but not particularly friendly. My room was accessed through the dining area and I was advised to take the lift to the 3rd floor. The lift is unlike anything I’ve seen before. You open a door and it’s straight behind it and is actually on the outside of the building and is incredibly old. So if you don’t like lifts at the best of times, I would avoid. My room was number 327 and I would not recommend this room. The room itself was cosy, bed was comfy. The bathroom however often smelled of drains - which wasn’t pleasant. The window looked out on to the back of the building and also on to the weird lift. The noise from which was horrendous and prevented sleep. People generally only stopped using it about 2am. Breakfast was satisfactory but the coffee was poor and hot options limited if that’s your sort of thing. Location wise it really is central. I didn’t use public transport during my stay, and everywhere you might want to get to is walkable. The street can be noisy at night, and drunken men hanging around didn’t really make the area feel that safe for a female solo traveller. Prague itself is beautiful, but if you’re looking for a peaceful stay I would say avoid this hotel and area. Also I was charged a city tax on the last day that I wasn’t made aware of at any point, it wasn’t a problem, but just be mindful. It was 150 koruna.
It was a great experience staying at this hotel!
Great location! The beds were comfortable and the amenities were perfect for our time in Prague!
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Antik from Friday to Monday for his 50th birthday. The hotel was lovely, very clean, good breakfast, rooms cleaned and fresh towels every day. Very central so great for getting to everywhere for sight seeing, metro etc. We were in room 32 which was beautiful however the noise from the street at night and especially the mini supermarket which was below was ridiculous. The supermarket had techno music blasting every night especially on the Sunday night until 5am.
It was ridiculous. Sadly this would put me off going back to this hotel.
Lovely 3 night stay here. We were on 3rd floor but faced the back of hotel. Room had a good layout and we requested two rooms close together which we got.
They do charge a small fee for luggage storage, about £3.00 as rooms were not ready.
lots of nice touches in the room, shampoo and body wash.
breakfast was nice, quite a bit of choice for a relatively small hotel and all staff were very pleasant.
Great location, near lots of restaurants and main square. If you are buying water, drinks etc try and get to Lidl, which isn’t too far from hotel as the small local shops are quite expensive.
A fabulous stay in a fabulous city.
Perfect location
Nice hotel
Good location. Good size clean room. Mattress slightly old, had a dip in it so not a comfortable sleep. But service great, breakfast good. Close to bars and clubs
