Alfiz Hotel Boutique

The staff was very friendly and helpful despite not speaking much English. We were able to communicate with our broken Spanish. The room was cute, clean and wonderful, breakfast was also wonderful. We felt safe indoors despite outside was not safe. Only complaint is the wifi was not working for any of us, there were 4 of us on this reservation with different phone carriers and none of us were able to connect to the hotel wifi. Connecting to the wifi at the sister hotel down the street was fine and no issues.

It was not a great stay, we stayed at many nice places while in Colombia and this was by far the worst. I booked when the hotel was under different management and the reviews were good then. I would not recommend it was so noisy we could not sleep at night as we were in a room which opened to the street below. The breakfast was only ok.

Small boutique hotel with modest but comfortable, clean room which was a good size and had an excellent shower. Small pool is a nice bonus. Good breakfast and complimentary coffee in the library.
Staff very welcoming and helpful, while location in the old town is perfect and not too noisy.
Would happily recommend and stay there again.

Beautiful property in the heart of the historical city. Wonderful service and good breakfast, loved the options. The plunge pool was an added treat for the morning.
The only thing I’d say is request a quiet room if you are a light sleeper like me! Other than that, a perfect overnight stay, thank you so much!

This is a great value property. It’s small and doesn’t really have a lobby so the door is always locked but answered quickly 24/7. Free breakfast but the cofffeeshop Epoca that is a block away is stellar. So much right by this hotel and it has an excellent location. If you are looking for a lobby bar or big pool - this isn’t the place for you. If you are looking for small, quiet and friendly - then this is the place for you. Note that this place was dry in the rooms which isn’t always found in the tropics. It’s very clean and dry.

This is a breathtakingly beautiful hotel. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing hotel experience in Cartagena, this is it! The staff is so helpful, professional, and welcoming - we had a wonderful experience with Maria! They will also help you arrange transportation to and from the airport. The breakfast is delicious, the pool is quaint and relaxing, and everything was clean and it’s in a perfect location. We HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Absolutely charming little hotel in a perfect location inside the old walled city of Cartagena. Close to many great restaurants and some of the best shopping in the city yet very quiet. Walkable to most major attractions. The staff was awesome - so sweet and helpful and speak quite a bit of English which was helpful. Air conditioning worked great to keep our room cool and sleepable. Beds was large and comfortable. Very spacious room on two levels in a 300 year old house. Great breakfast every
Morning. This place is perfect. The only downside is the pool is quite small but you can still pop in for a refreshing dip in the afternoon heat. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was off the street, facing into the courtyard, so very calm and quiet despite the busyness just outside the doors. Great airconditioning, comfortable bed, good shower, wonderful breakfast served daily. The pool is tiny and never saw anyone use it or the jacuzzi. May be a difficult for those with vision and mobility problems as the ground floor is not level and there are small steps that are not well marked (I almost took a header and quickly learned to be very careful). Still highly recommend!

The staff is awesome

This is a lovely old hotel, renovated while keeping its character. Location is great in the old town but a very touristy place. Only downside, we booked their only suite a year in advance for our stay and received confirmation of our booking. When we arrived we were placed in a standard room as they had double booked the suite. We had no prior notification

I was very impressed by the helpfulness and hospitality received by the staff at Alfiz hotel They assisted me with all of my inquiries and were pleasant to interact with. The welcome sangria drink was delicious and refreshing! The room was absolutely comfortable and allowed us to relax between exploring the city. The location is well situated in the core of the city, with plenty of restaurants in the area. We happened to visit during the week of Cartagena independence day in November and we were at the heart of the festivities happening in the main square. Although we were able to hear the noise from the parties, we had no problems with falling asleep through it. Breakfast was nice, although I did get bit by mosquitoes from the plants in the courtyard. Overall, I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Cartagena!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with lots of fruit. The building is beautiful and well maintained.

Alfiz Hotel is a good option for people who like a very quiet place. When we arrive we notice a lot of tranquility, little light and security, the staff always accompany you to the exit door that remains closed, impressed us. The construction is old, a different experience for those who usually stay in large hotels and enjoy rest at the Lobby/Bar.
Our room San Pedro Claver,
second floor, with no comfortable seats to rest, the city is very hot and we walk a lot, the seats are made of wood in tone with decoration but are not comfortable. The shower is a wonderful, good bed, soft pillows and clean sheets. The room is hot when you come in but when you turn on the air conditioning and the ceiling fan becomes nice.
Good breakfast included and very good attention.

Best thing of the property is the remarkable staff they have. Always attentive. Never miss a beat. Breakfast was delicious. Anything you’d like was presented to you.. the decor was just perfect. Not too much not too little. Quite remarkable for its Era of time.Super safe. Great location!!!
