Die Lage. Planschbecken statt Pool.

Nice hotel in a historic village. Difficult to get to in the middle of the night and on an Uber. Helpful staff.
Breakfast was ridiculously expensive. Over 30 Euros per person for some toast and half a croissant plus juice and tea is ridiculous!
Superb location and great staff. Who were very accommodating and supportive.
Lack of immunity such as water in the rooms for guest mini bar items were a disappointing and expensive.
The town is gorgeous. But you need to be ok walking up and down steep hills
The actual location of the hotel in the town was fantastic and the little free bus going up and down the hill all day was a god send.
The hotel staff - particularly the bag porters were really good. Helpful and polite. I asked for more teabags and got a freshly brewed pot delivered, which was a lovely touch.
The pick up from town by the hotel was very welcome. Its a tricky hotel to find and the hills are very steep.
The bathroom plumbing was not great, water pressure was low
Toilet flush weak. Not as clean as it could have been.
The little veranda was too hot to sit out on , it needed a sun umberella as the sun is on the veranda all day and it was hitting 39 - 40 degrees. So paid for a room facility impossible to use.
Our room was not in the main hotel, it was outside and down some steps so we never really got to see the hotel or staff that much. It felt like we were staying in a motel - an exceedingly expensive motel!!
The pick up ftom the station was great but they arranged an 11.45am pick up and didnt arrive until 12.30pm which was a bit irritating waiting in the intence heat. They did not tell us where to wait either so we were in the wrong place which increased our wait time.
We had intended to eat the hotel but the dining toom and veranda were way to hot to sit in. They need air con of some sort
Château Le Cagnard was honeslty one of the best parts of our whole trip. We stayed here to celebrate our engagement and from the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond for us. We werent totally happy with our original room and the bed, and instead of just brushing it off they upgraded us to a much better room at no extra cost, which honestly meant so much given the occasion. They also suprised us with some lovely gifts to celebrate the engagement, such a nice personal touch that we didnt expect at all.
The hotel itself is just stunning, full of character and charm, the kind of place that actually feels special rather than just another hotel room. Every member of staff we interacted with was warm, helpful and genuinely positive, nothing felt forced or like they were just doing their job, you could tell they actually cared.
Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, especially if your celebrating something special. Thank you to the whole team at Le Cagnard for making our stay unforgettable!
Honestly can’t think of anything, the room mixup got sorted so fast it barely counts as a complaint. Also the location might be a challenge since its inside a medieval village and we had to walk to our car for around 8-12 mins
Unique property in a medieval village
Parking locations far from hotel and lack of easy transportation to/from the property were a major nuisance and required extra planning, time and physical effort.
This was a truly special stay. Highlight was the incredible staff who could not do enough to make sure my stay was lovely. The hotel itself was stunningly beautiful and had everything I could have wished for.
It was tricky to find, but contacted the staff and they came and found me
