If I could give this truly lovely little boutique resort 10 stars I would - we really couldn’t have chose a better place to stay with our 4.5 year old twins. Nat, the owner is so helpful & friendly & so are all staff, who all do their jobs fantastically. There is a genuine feeling of care & teamwork all round. We stayed in the 2 bedroom family villa which is actually 2 separated en-suite double rooms, with a shared open space/hall/reception area between then, opening on to a really great size balcony with comfy furniture, overlooking the pool. The grounds & gardens are beautiful & so lovingly designed & maintained. Butterflies & dragonflies flutter around the gorgeous plants & the sound of water features around the central pond, complete with fish we helped to feed, is so relaxing! It really is a heavenly little Oasis that feels a world away from Chiang Mai city but only 10 mins via grab or bolt, so it’s very easy & cheap to get around. There’s street food, laundry & a 7eleven within walking distance, but we ate at the hotel & had laundry sorted by the housekeeping team too. Bedding & pillows are premium & soft. Firm mattresses, which we are ok with. Lovely slippers & robes too. The food was all delicious! We stayed 8 nights & there was just about enough variety on the menu for us. We loved breakfast in the laid back restaurant, although simple choices of different egg dishes, waffles, cereals & pancakes it was always fab, with a huge platter of fresh fruits & great coffee, and the setting is lovely by the water. Always the tastiest watermelon & must mention the Tom Kha at lunch/dinner as it is so good! The pools & playground are both perfect for young families. One of the most important things for us was how well all the interns looked after our twins. We were able to enjoy our meals, sit and finish when they wanted to run off & play, the staff would jump in & look after them. Theres a little play corner in the restaurant & scooters and ride-on’s for the kids to use & it’s very safe for them to circuit around the pool and restaurant, under the watchful eye of the very kind and hugely appreciated staff. I can’t offer enough thanks and appreciation! If you have young children and are considering Chiang Mai this is absolutely the place to stay! Thanks to all at the resort for looking after us so well! If we come back to Chiang Mai in the future, we will certainly stay again :)
The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From we first checked in to when we left, we felt genuine warmth, and that they enjoyed working in hospitality. It was quiet and calm, and the location was just long enough outside the city to feel like an oasis, and just close enough that we felt in the city. Great experience. Thank you for welcoming us!
Love (also from baby Samson)
We were staying at the Oriental Siam Resort in Chiang Mai on July 15, 2025, and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in a very nice bungalow that was very comfortable and more than large enough for the two of us. In resort and around the bungalows and the pool there are many trees and exotic plants that create a relaxing environment. Next to the restaurant is a pond with many fishes swimming around busily.
We really liked the friendly service at the resort. The staff was attentive and made our stay very pleasant. The family that is running the resort made us feel right at home.
We recommend the Oriental Siam Resort to anyone looking for a smaller and tranquil oasis in the vicinity of the city combined with warm hospitality.
Wow! My wife and I were not expecting to find such a jewel in Chaing Mai (well the outskirts anyway). We stayed in one of their villas and have to say it felt like being in our own home - it was SO quiet in the evenings and night we slept very well. The staff waited on us like we had never had before - like having private cooks and butlers. The grounds have so many plants, fountains, and pools. We only stayed four nights but wish we could stay longer. We will return!
This is a hidden gem between the airport and the city of Chiang Mai, which makes this a peaceful paradise, a bit away from the noise and smell of the too busy city centre. However, a quick ride with the cheap taxis will bring you there in 15 minutes.
It is a gorgeous boutique hotel with beautiful Thai style villas around a fish pond in a paradise garden. The Thai owners speak also English and Dutch. The manager speaks fluent Chinese, English and some Korean as well. There is a good restaurant for a nice breakfast and dinner.
It is also perfect for families. The villas are spacious, some have more rooms. There is a nice playground for kids.
If you are looking for a paradise like peaceful place not too far from the city center, book this place!
My friends and I were celebrating a special birthday milestone. It was the first time in Chiang Mai for all of us 5 girls. We were welcomed with a nice cool drink and beautiful smiles. From the moment we stepped through the open walk way, the lush greenery and sounds of water gave instant peace. Nat, the owner was communicative prior and throughout our 7 day stay. She takes her time making each guest feel like family. I highly recommend utilizing the hotel concierge/manager, Mr. Kolby who can design day trips, transportation, and excursions. Our highlights were the local organic cooking farm and an elephant sanctuary. The resort is an easy 20-30 min. Car ride into the center city.
The resort is truly a sanctuary for those of us needing to get away from the day to day busyness: people who may need a reconnection to nature and who are open to new sounds that a Chiang Mai morning may bring. I highly recommend Oriental Siam Resort and plan on coming back soon!
Staff here is super friendly and the service is very good.
A gem outside of town, a great escape from the busy tourist areas. My son and I enjoyed the peace and warm family atmosphere. By the end of our stay, felt like family. Can’t wait to go back!
Budget for grab into town, about 150 baht each way. Totally worth it to have some true rest and relaxation in Chiang Mai.
The hotel is close to the town and features seven villas in a beautiful garden with a nice pool. Our kids enjoyed running around and playing a lot. The staff are extremely nice and the service was amazing, Nat the owner went the extra mile always to help us and provide us with everything needed. A fantastic experience, recommended by our family to all.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Oriental Siam Resort. It is located a bit away from the city center, but that was our choice. You can easily get a Bolt or Grab (similar to Uber) and be in the city center for a minimal price. We wanted a place where our 2- and 3-year-old children could stretch their legs, stomp their feet, run around, and be free to raise their voices. Thus, we chose the Jasmine Honeymoon suite. The interior of the room is a bit dated, but acceptable and with enough space which is key for families. The grounds are very clean and the pool, even though a bit small, more than suffices for young children. The breakfast selection is small, but delicious and delighted my family. The owner, Nat, is very accommodating, answers emails and meets and greets your family whenever she sees you. The manger, Kobe, is a gift to the hotel. He speaks so many languages, is attentive to your needs and will offer advice on your day trips. He is not trying to make money from your stay as evidenced by his affirmation of me renting a car. Although I decided against it and used his recommendation which was a very comfortable choice. He seems to genuinely care about his job and your happiness. The young staff serving breakfast are charming and play with kids, are friendly and the entire staff make you feel at home. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and some are already trying to follow our itinerary with this resort being their home away from home. If you are coming to Chiang Mai, look no further than Oriental Siam Resort for a relaxing stay.
The plants and waterfall stream were great! The staff was the best!
highly recommended
family for 6 people stayed for 3 nights
the owner was very friendly and helpful
she helps us to plan all our tours during our 1 week , all the staff's were also friendly
overall we had a great experience staying we will definitely come back 😊
Great staff. We had a wonderful stay
This property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, away from busy roads. The restaurant is lovely and there are local food stalls a short walk away. The pool is clean and the gardens well kept. There is also a kids pool and play area so certainly family friendly. The staff are absolutely fantastic and we could not be happier with the service we received.
Having been four times in Thailand, this was my best accomodation ever! I stayed here together with my 20-month-old son and husband, who was working on a project at Chiang Mai University, and it was the most magical experience. Originally, we planned to stay only for 5 nights to recover from jet lag and then move to a rented flat but we fell in love with the place and eventually stayed for the whole month.
The accomodation is provided in several villas located in a tropical garden with two swimming pools and a pond with a little waterfall. It is a family-run resort, which makes it so much more personal than other places we've been to. Mrs Nat, her relatives and all the staff made us feel like at home making sure that we had everything we needed. The playground has lots of swings and slides and there are many cars and other toys for kids to enjoy. Still the well-designed garden gives you enough privacy so the place is also suitable for anyone seeking calm and relaxing environment. The restaurant provides home-cooked food made from fresh ingredients and they always make sure to recommend some Thai specialities for you to try. I also appreciated all the information and tips for getting around and enjoying Chiang Mai.
Overall, we have never experienced this level of care and genuine kindness. I can't be more grateful to Mrs Nat for all the help in the times when my son was sick or my husband away on a business trip. She even arranged an experienced babysitter from their staff, Da, who my son absolutely adored. When leaving, we already felt like part of the family! We'll definitely book again next time we are in Chiang Mai if the place is free.
Visited with family, great and relaxing atmosphere. The resort is clean and the flora was beautiful, rooms were cleaned properly and were modern but still had a traditional Thai feeling with beautiful wooden carved furniture. Swimming pool was clean.
The staff was incredibly helpful with making sure we saw all the highlights that Chiang Mai had to offer, as we came without a plan. Breakfast was delicious and the resort offers dinner options on days we didn’t feel like going out.
Overall a wonderful experience for me and my family, we’ll be coming back.
Relaxing atmosphere in nature with excellent Thai hospitality. It was an oasis where I could rest comfortably in a very clean room (actually like a Thai house of my own with patio and back deck, a large bathroom). Their restaurant is by their small pond in which you can admire watching beautiful fish, big and small, swimming around; an added beauty to the already well cared nature. The pool is small but you feel like you are in your own villa’s pool and it is crystal clear. My special thanks to the owner Miss Nat and the lovely staff who are doing a wonderful job making your stay comfortable; every detail is taken care of. Food is delicious, you can also pre-order whatever you would like to eat. I stayed 5 nights and I will miss here; definitely recommended for a peaceful cozy holiday with a traditional elegant Thai touch.
We had such amazing and warm welcome from the owner and staffs. When we arrived to resort. We received immediately warm welcoming and we feel like families. My daughter loves to play and chat with staffs. They make my daughter says “I love Thailand” it mean a lot to me. I definitely recommend to my friends and families to come and have amazing experience like us. I also will coming back again.
Oriental Siam Resort is a clean, quiet sanctuary. The staff on hand are ready to guide your steps as you venture out, or to feed and tend to a weary travelers needs. It’s a gem, a true gem of a place.
Nat and staff were fantastic. We will be back again for sure.
Thanks Nat
