Breakfast was good. Scenery outstanding! Loved that we could wander through the vineyard and ruins on the property.
The grounds around the pool and play area were in need of a little TLC. IE: broken furniture needed replacing, broken walkways.

The drive up from Pinhão was a bit tense for my wife. 😁. There really is nothing not to like about the property.

The food, wine, and location were all excellent. Beatrice went above and beyond with her friendliness and hospitality. She drove me and my daughter to town when a taxi was unavailable. Highly recommend!

We had a very relaxing two nights at this nice Hotel on the Mendiz Valley surrounded by vineyards and beautiful gardens. Both Beatriz and Rui were like friends we knew a long time ago after spending some time at their Quinta. From the check in to the delicious dinner to the delicious breakfasts with eggs cooked to order, everything was a good experience. Rooms are clean and confortable, the views to the vineyards are awesome. We did not get into the pool as it was not warm enough, but the area is beautiful with all the roses around it. We knew the gardens were planted and taken care by Dona Beatriz, the owner of the Quinta. Dinner was great, we were told that they use the family recipes, which we found very good! Pihnao is quite close, it’s worth to go a take one hour tour through the Duoro river, nice landscapes! At Pinhao, we had lunch at O’Porco, and it was delicious! Beatriz also recommended to go to Casal de Loivos, an awesome “miradouro” where you can get the best view of the Duoro Valley! It’s an Unesco site and it’s totally worthy the ride up the mountains! Will stay again at this friendly and confortable hotel!
Unique location
It was too far from the town and other attractions. Driving around could be scary at times, especially at night returning to the hotel down a fairly steep narrow cobble road.
O Hotel está localizado na região do Douro. A paisagem por si só é lindíssima.
Os anfitriões nos receberam maravilhosamente bem. O restaurante tem pratos deliciosos.
Tivemos que partir cedo no dia seguinte e fizeram questão de nos deixar preparados alguns pães, queijos e fiambres para que pudéssemos tomar café da manhã, apesar do horário que saímos.
A delicadeza e gentileza nos encantaram.
Everything! A very cute and quaint hotel, rooms were clean and the view of the vineyards was spectacular. The grounds are so pretty with all the flowers and grapevines. The breakfast that is included offers a lot, including your choice of freshly prepared eggs.
The staff are exceptional and go above and beyond.
There was nothing to dislike about the property!
