Well this hotel and its team are 5 Star from start to finish. Lovely hotel and incredible team from reception to bar. Sorry I can’t remember everyone but Cliona, Majella & Becca were superb. Well done and I’ll be back

I booked the New Year New You package recently and attended the fantastic live performance by the Highstool Prophets. It was one of the best stays I’ve had in a hotel in a very long time. The staff were absolutely lovely from reception to dining and in the Millers Suite venue. I felt very welcome and really well looked after the whole stay. The dining was fabulous, with lots of options for dinner and I really like the hot breakfast is cooked to order, there is a great fresh continental breakfast too. Parking was easy and I had no issue getting a spot ( it was also free for guests!). The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable too. I look forward to coming back again soon for another overnight stay ( and some great live music). Thanks ☺️

We celebrated my 70th birthday with friends and family in The Canal Court Hotel and it was one of my most memorable and special nights ever.
We had a private room but with Paul and his team, it felt like a palace, our room was beautifully decorated specially for us and we were so well treated with service and delicious food we felt like royalty. Been here many, many times for nights out and private functions and all were excellent but tonight tops them all and memories will stay forever for myself and family.
I cannot thank enough Louise, the chefs, Paul & all the wonderful staff for my Birthday meal and party.

Stayed here Saturday to Sunday party of six when we arrived Some of the staff were rude and unfriendly .
Went for dinner and had a lovely waiter call Patrick so all hope was not lost some of the waitress were also nice.
Did mention this to the waiter Patrick who was really upstanding .
Will we be back NO first impressions !!

Have been to there sister hotel the carrickdale which we could not fault .
So will go back there in the future.

We had a family meal on Sunday 28th December in a private room with 49 guests and from start to finish meal was excellent staff was brilliant and service excellent.

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed last Saturday night 13th Dec. Great experience from the moment we arrived at reception. Nothing was a problem. Hotel beautifully decorated for Christmas wonderful atmosphere. Warm and inviting . Beds so comfortable, bathrooms modern with a great shower. The service was second to none all the staff so friendly and helpful. Had a delicious meal in the bar great value for money and a fabulous bottle of wine.
Didn’t want to leave. Will definitely be back.

spent 2 nights B&B mid week shopping, rooms are great and the food is fantastic as all ways. Been here a few times and never disappointed. Great Hotel and great staff. Also had two free cocktails throw in with the deal....

A two night stay at the end of November! The staff here are the most friendliest from housekeeping to the bar to the Reception area always there to help. During my stay there was an awards ceremony, a wedding and a gig and still I felt I was the only guest there, they all make it look so easy and always greated with a smile, yet its not and they are definitely kept so busy. I still think it should be a 5 star hotel as it deserves it!! The Christmas decorations make it look so luxurious at this time of year also.

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Canal Court Hotel on 28.11.2025, and we cannot express enough how incredible the entire experience was. From the moment we booked, nothing was ever a problem. Our wedding coordinator Patrick, along with Louise, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect and that our day felt truly special.

The staff were exceptional—professional, friendly, and always willing to help. The food was outstanding, with so many of our guests commenting on how delicious everything was. The service throughout the day was flawless.

Our rooms were beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable, adding to the overall experience.

We are so grateful to everyone at the Canal Court Hotel for making our wedding day everything we hoped for and more. We couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough.

We were a group of sisters and sister in laws. We booked a spa experience and we all enjoyed it. The staff in the spa and hotel staff in general could not have been better. The food was first class. We are looking forward to repeating the experience next year.

Just home from a weekend in the Canal Court hotel and from checkin to checkout it was honestly amazing. The staff on reception were very welcoming, the room was very spacious & clean. Karina served our breakfast both mornings & remembered on the second morning a special requirement. Mary the lady whom I assume was the restaurant supervisor ran it so well, was on hand to help with recommendation for dinner & help the staff out whenever needed. Food was excellent & portion size was just right. There was plenty of staff on hand & all so well dressed, The smart uniform added to the glamour of the hotel. Ten out of ten for Christmas decorations, very festive. Music in the bar on Saturday night created a great atmosphere. This is our fourth visit to this hotel on this weekend & already looking forward to next year. Well done all.

We stay a night at the Newry Canal court for a family spa package.
From arranging the stay with Majella in reservation to checking in and out at reception to having our evening meal and breakfast in the dinning room to the staff in the bar,to having coffee and tea in the foya the staff were very well trained and very professional nothing was any bother to them.

The spa treatments were very relaxing and staff were very professional.
The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious.

Lovely lunch in The Lobby at the front of the hotel with my 85-year-old mother. Very comfortable sofa and armchairs in front of a lit fire. I ordered a Club sandwich and two soups of the day. It was all excellent - the sandwich came with crisps and a delicious salad, split into two plates, which we both enjoyed in the relaxed surroundings. I had eaten before in The Granary and it too was excellent. Staff were under pressure but the service was excellent - attentive, friendly and welcoming. Food and teas exceptional value for a 4-star hotel. Will be back! Thank you!

Beautiful hotel, reception area is so big and seating is great, food is amazing and cost effective, also ate up in the restaurant, small starters but dinner was lovely place looks so posh, lovely bar area beside restaurant to look out at the town

When you travel on your own for work or leisure, you won't feel awkward here. The staff are so friendly and the food is great, I wanted pasta which wasn't on the room service menu and it was no problem. It's the small things that matter especially as I had travelled from Tipperary. I keep coming back here because they are brilliant 👏

Visited after a number of years since we last stayed. Still as good as ever. Centrally located, good on site parking. Large bedroom, well appointed and very comfortable. Both Dinner and breakfast were good, numerous choices available at both. Lovely atmosphere in all public areas. Every member of staff was extremely helpful, pleasant and professional. Leisure facilities are a bit basic but nice to have. Would thoroughly recommend Canal Court.

We stayed here for 1 night for our anniversary. Its our 2nd time now at this hotel.we love it..the location is brilliant you are right in the town centre..the staff left us champagne and chocolates in our room and gave us a room over looking the canal..we used the sauna steam room and outside hot tub.all included when you stay here..our deal was great.it was bed breakfast and a two course meal.food was beautiful. I have to say the deputy manager gemma adams has absolutely fantastic customer service. She couldn't of been nicer or do enuf for us.we have been in alot of hotels and they all need a gemma.amazing.couldnt do enough for us.we also had a server called Shauna. Lovely girl.so friendly and helpful. She even brought us down home made shortbread on a plate decorated with happy anniversary. Couldn't do enough .overall we love this hotel and they had entertainment on brilliant. We will definitely be back..

Friendly staff. Bedrooms were comfortabe. Excellent bar snacks, but breakfast wasn't the best

The room was lovely and big with a nice view. My bed sheets didn’t look 100% fresh and I waited over 5 minutes in the restaurant at breakfast to be shown to my table

What amazing stay again from start to finish the three of us loved every second of it. Reception welcome as always polite and friendly. Called in to the granary bar for drinks, toasted baguettes they where very tasty and fresh. As always serving there carvery at lunctime and there chef ian is so friendly and come over have quick chat wlth you make sure you are okay. There chefs do amazing job. (enjoy your week away in tenerife chef ian)

Got to are room front view canal and town very clean aircon was great during the day was warm in hotel.

We where there for tina turner tribute act and what a night brilliant she was amazing. Loved the idea tables and seats got our own table and music is a most see with the backing singers and band. Nearly everyone up danclng and all loved the night.

Our dinner got to the room of chicken maryland, chips and it was lovely and the three of us really enjoyed it.
