The owner of the hotel was the finest of persons. The female assistant was kind and helpful. The view from the hotel is the best ever of the Corinthian Gulf and the beginning of the plain leading up to the Sanctuary of Delphi. Classic Old Hotel with a lot of history. And gain, my sincere thanks for the graciousness shown to me by the owner and the assistant.
Spent 2 nights in a family suite. Incredible views, very polite stuff that made us feel comfortable. Very good service levels. Big and comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. Pets allowed and treaded like guests.
Old times glory thar needs a renovation but all other aspects of hospitality made us very happy for staying. Highly recommended
The hotel is too old,( no renovated) and too expensive for the quality of its services..Clients have to be very careful in booking. We have booked and prepaid a two separate rooms appartment and instead they gave us a quadruple one space room, insisting that we were wrong. They tried to sell us the two separate room for 75 euros more. The breakfast time starts at 8.00 a.m (too late)and ends at 10.00 which i consider too little time.
Lots of character. Large suite. Great view of valley below. Near Delphi archealogical site.
AVOID this UGLY run down, creepy, dirty disgusting place at all costs!! No AC, the pool is closed, the breakfast is vile, bathrooms are repugnant, it feels like a third world dump ... I could go on and on but I do not want to bring up memories of this scary experience.
Very much needs renovation. Views are fabulous. Breakfast, not so great..
The hotel used to live up to its name, but it seems to be many years ago. It is now in need of major renovations. The price we paid, was however unbeatable, so the price quality was fine.
The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent, and the staff were great. The location is also fantastic with the view all the way down to the sea, from up in the mountains 5 minutes from the Delphi site.
Hotel viejo, mal ubicado y sucio.
A very very old hotel-not maintained or redecorated in any way since the '80s -with an awful pool and dangerous (rotten)wooden railings. Breakfast below average. I wouldn't recommend it to our beloved visitors from abroad.
An abandoned hotel that is not worth a visit. It should not have even 2 stars. Despite the generous efforts of the staff, the common areas and rooms were old. The business looked abandoned.
Even the pool isn't as good as the pictures shown....
Etablissement bien situé pour visiter Delphes. Calme. Accueil parfait. Relativement proche de Galaxidi.
Etablissement vétuste
Personnel tres gentil
Belle vue
Unfortunately, our visit to the Delphi Palace was disappointing. It may once have been a 4* hotel, but today is is at best a hotel of faded grandeur, and at worst dilapidated and unsafe.
On the positive side, the staff could not have been more friendly, or more helpful.
However, a number of areas around the hotel seemed in bad repair to the extent that I believe they posed a health and safety risk to our young children (8 & 6). Examples include the wooden railings directly in front of the swimming pool which were rotten and insecure, and if leant against, even by accident, could well have broken, and an individual would have dropped 10-15ft to hard ground below. Plus, the swimming pool itself was in quite bad repair and the 'lining' of the pool had broken away from the foundations in a number of places; plus, there were no steps on the ladder to climb out of the pool - another safety issue.
In my opinion, the hotel needs to realise that it is not today what it once was, and invest in repairing the areas that are most unsafe.
This is not a reflection on anyone who worked there, but we would not return to this hotel.
Clean and quaint hotel. It is located at the far end of the village. Great view of the valley an sea. Meal was so-so. No bugs. I don’t think it has an elevator, this is coming important because pool is lower level, meal one level up and some rooms 2-3 higher.
Where to begin? Just avoid it all together. Spend the money and go 20 metres up the road to Amalia Hotel, you won’t regret it. The A/C was broken ( I actually got zapped!), there were chunks missing off the walls, two out of four walls had stains on them. The bedside lamps had dust on them. The food was ordinary and that’s being generous. The salad had brown pieces of lettuce in it. The drinking glasses were not clean. One of ours had what looked like lipstick stains on it. One of the men was putting bread into baskets with no gloves on. The pool had dead bugs and leaves in it and lots of broken bits and pieces around it. The beds were good that’s about it’s only saving grace. There was no where else to stay for us as the other hotel up the road was full. It might have been a palace 50 years ago but needs a major renovation to be brought up to a three star hotel. Very disappointed. If I could give it 0 stars I would have.
This is the worst hotel I have stayed in my life! The place is in shambles! We booked it on booking.com thinking it’s a 4 star (that’s what they claimed on the site). I didn’t read the reviews as I was in a bit of hurry to make travel plans. And by the way it was listed as Xenai hotel and not Delphi palace. And hence none of the reviews were coming up. I should have known better..
The place is absolutely shabby! Wood floors are warped, upholstery is worn out, mattress only has springs left, there’s mold in the bathroom and shower curtains, the shower head fell off, the power outlet sockets are coming out of the wall, one of the bed stands was broken, all furnitures and chipped off, the gym is out of a horror movie, breakfast (included) was a dry quarter of a croissant and boiled eggs. I can go on and on. But you get the point. This is a safety and cleanliness hazard and should be shut down by the authorities.
