Great hotel, we would definitely stay again. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Our room was spotless. As someone else mentioned a plug near the bedside would be useful for phone charging/setting an alarm. Our only negative was that we were on the top floor (6th) and there was a noise which we thought was probably equipment on the roof cutting in and out. We soon got used to it and although it kept me awake for a while, I did fall asleep eventually. Overall an excellent stay and good value
Great location close to lovely restaurants, pubs and convenient stores. Special thanks to the great staff and Adrian who made our stay so memorable. We will be back!
I stayed a weekend here to attend a concert and was the best choice ever. Staff is very kind, supportive and friendly, I really want to thank you guys for making me feel like home.
My room was clean, comfy, and had all amenities and toiletries I needed as a standalone traveler. I can’t complain about it, it was totally perfect to me and my needs.
By the otherhand, I wouldn’t recommend you this hotel if you’re traveling with your family, ‘cause it may be a “small place” for your needs; but if you’re traveling by yourself or with some friends I think it’s a good choice. Just remember breakfast and drinks have an extra cost.
Location is a plus, it’s a quiet hotel near the University and there’s no loud on the streets or outside the hotel itself. You can easily go walking to any place in Belfast like St George’s Market, City Hall, parks, local restaurants and the Victoria Square mall.
Next time in Belfast I’ll surely book again at this place. Thank you so much!
Lovely hotel and the staff are really helpful, especially Josh who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
A fantastic experience. Sinead and Ciaran were grand!
Spent 3 nights here to see a friend and visit Titanic Exhibition. Stayed in Room 401 (see pictures). Excellent room - quiet clean, near stairs and lift. Fabulous shower (east to operate) which came with body/shower products. Breakfast was well worth the £12.50 (if you book online) with plenty of choice from cooked, cereals, fruit etc., coffee machine and all buffet so you can eat and have as much coffee as you like. Friendly chef (didn't get his name unfortunately) popped out every so often and was told that if it's not busy you can ask for fried eggs etc. The buffet option was scrambled. Excellent service especially from the very helpful & knowledgeable manager, Rebecca (a real credit to the Accor Ibis portfolio) & a shout out for Saoirse on reception, again very friendly who managed to get my apple laptop connected to the WiFi (something to do with settings). Tony who dealt with electrics was also chatty and good craic. The location was perfect & located very near to the Botanic Gardens & train station, and tbh it's quite easy to walk around most of central Belfast from there. Even the Titanic Exhibition which was the other end of town only took me 35 mins to walk. Only 2 small gripes. i) WiFi sometimes dropped out ii) Plug sockets - there weren't any next to the head end of the bed, so if you want to charge your phone and set alarm you might want to think about taking a long lead, although of course without a long lead you'll have to get out of bed to turn it off (maybe other rooms have a socket next to the bed but 401 didn't). All in all a very convenient and pleasant stay at this hotel. Very impressed and not overly expensive compared to others. Oh yes... the bar stays open until 3am for residents too!
Great location rooms nice and clean and staff were so nice and couldn’t do enough, will definitely be back
We stayed here Saturday the 7th and all I. I can say is Amazing Stay!!! From the moment we arrived it was the staff that stood out we had the pleasure of meeting two lovely ladies who where working on the front desk/bar made us feel very welcome from the minute we came through the doors. Both of them were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Had great craic with them before we headed into the city for our night out. The room was also spotless not even a spec of dust. Also the night porter was an absolute gent aswell and kept us fed with an incredible pizza
Overall great experience and sorry I didn’t catch either of the ladies names or the night porter but we will definitely back great experience very welcoming and very clean!!
No complaints from me from start to finish.
Bang next to Queens University is a side street in South Belfast. Standard IBIS but with spacious quiet rooms. Staff true hospitality professionals. I joined the scheme and got a £5 discount . 15 minutes walk to centre of town just up the street for Queens.
Excellent short break at this hotel for the family between Christmas and New Year. We had to book two twin/double rooms but it was still very affordable. The hotel is nicely located on the edge of Belfast city centre, next to the University and Botanic gardens. There are scores of cafes and fine restaurants within a 5 mins walk, Donegall Place/city centre is a 15 mins walk. Also there is a train station and lots of buses that pass close by. The hotel is clean and quiet, friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast, parking is usually available on the street outside (free for the most part) - what more could you want. Perhaps the only slight flaw is a lack of atmosphere in the lobby/cafe part of the hotel in the evening - although food and alcohol is available, there didn't seem to be any takers while we were there. This is not a fancy hotel by any stretch, but is very good value for money and in an excellent location.
I had a brilliant one night stay as have been trying for two years to book a stay for over two years which even as an Accor rewards member proved difficult as it’s so popular a place to stay it’s always fully booked !
I has a lovely welcome by Rebecca the hotel manager who allocated room 512 as I’m a person with invisible disabilities and I’m also non binary/ intersex
All the staff were lovely except one female member of the female staff on the evening/ nightshift who called me “Gentleman “ in conversation which was totally inappropriate despite the staff member verbally apologising as I had advised the hotel via email about my invisible disabilities and my pronouns prior to my gender and non binary/ intersex status so no misgendering or incorrect pronouns or problems might arise .
Room 512 was massive and lovely and breakfast which was a welcome surprise as a perk was fabulous as the chef made sure I had plenty of mushrooms and vegetarian sausages to go with my pescatarian diet needs due to having to eat certain foods due to a medical condition.
Fabulous hotel and service but I can only give it 9 out of 10 because of a staff members wrong use of the wrong gender and pronouns as the correct use of pronouns are essential for non binary trans intersex and none gender conforming people.
Excellent location, close to very good cafes and restaurants and a short walk into the centre of Belfast. Beds were comfortable and a red hot shower in the room. Breakfast was average, we only bothered with it once during our 3 night stay.
The hotel room is average, but all the staff is 10/10. It's also located in Belfast's prettiest quarter! Very neat stay :)
I stayed here for a long weekend last month. They were very accommodating of my late check in due to me getting a late flight. The staff were always very welcoming and helpful.
The bed was comfortable, room warm and clean and the tea tray well stocked. It’s a very well located hotel with a short walk into the city centre - Belfast is much smaller than London - and the train station a short walk up the hill.
Sinead at the front desk and the bar was fantastic—so friendly and helpful! Highly recommended as a convenient place to stay in Belfast.
A clean and quiet hotel with friendly staff. Very comfortable bed and splendidly good breakfast. Its location near the university is an added bonus.
Maybe we were just unlucky, we stayed for two nights In a disabled room that wasn’t booked . Yes the room was spacious but from the reviews most are, but we certainly didn’t need a disabled shower with seat and toilet with emergency pull cord.
Also very disappointing was the lack of hot water actually it wasn’t even lukewarm.
As I say hopefully we were just unlucky.
On the plus side bed was comfortable and hotel conveniently located.
This hotel is in a wonderful location by the university. It is clean, comfortable, good value and the staff were welcoming and lovely.
Great stay, beyond friendly staff so welcoming and nothing is too much to help you or make your stay absolutely delightful
We will definitely go back
