Beautiful character building in lovely location. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.

The staff went out of their way to help us with any queries re sightseeing, restaurants or anything else. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent with a large variety of fresh fruit, eggs, various meats, cheeses, cereals etc . The location is quiet and very pretty, but very close to tram stops for a quick journey into the city centre. Walking distance to the Museum Quarter

Struttura elegante e di charme. Dimora storica di grande fascino. Camera spaziosa e confortevole. Molto bella la sala colazioni che si affaccia sul giardino interno, il bar e il piccolo teatro. Les chambres, décorées avec goût, offrent un confort calme et enveloppant. Les matières sont choisies avec soin, les couleurs harmonieuses, et l’ensemble compose une ambiance chaleureuse, presque littéraire. On s’y installe comme dans un petit salon privé, avec l’impression d’être attendu.

Le petit‑déjeuner, servi dans un cadre élégant, propose des produits frais et bien sélectionnés. Rien d’ostentatoire : une simplicité maîtrisée qui privilégie la qualité à la quantité.

Very helpful and friendly staff.

Such a beautiful hotel-it was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was lovely, and it was in an excellent location just outside the centre of Amsterdam in a lovely area with shops and restaurants. The tram into the centre was easy to use, and the museum quarter was a 15 minute walk away.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel for your stay in Amsterdam.

My seven-year old daughter and I had an amazing visit. Apollofirst was beautiful, comfortable, clean and peaceful. The staff members were kind, helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect for us—close to public transit that made exploring the city and surrounding areas easy, close to incredible museums, close to restaurants and shops, and in a lovely and elegant part of town.

The staff were lovely helpful people. There were some noisy building works going on in the next door premises that were very loud in our room. They moved us to a room at the other side of the hotel so we couldn’t hear it, and moved our luggage for us while we were out.
Apparently the building noise was to be short lived so do not worry!
The breakfast was lovely, rooms spotlessly clean, beautiful bar area and garden. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again-it is great being slightly outside of the centre of Amsterdam and easy to get in on the tram although we did walk it a couple of times because everything is so nice to look at.

Convenient location, helpful staff, and wonderful breakfast.

On a vacation trip to Amsterdam I selected the Apollofirst Hotel to stay at and that was the foundation for an outstanding trip. I was looking for a smaller hotel with good customer service, that was outside of the regular tourist footprint, and was still close to the museum district. The Apollofirst Hotel got top marks in all areas. Here are details for my high marks:
Hotel - the hotel has very attentive staff that were always asking what more they could do to help. The hotel lobby is very inviting and charming with the reception, seating area, and outdoor terrace. Additionally, the hotel breakfast was very good.
Location - The hotel's location off of Beethovenstraat is a real bonus. The neighborhood is very quiet, so I was able to get a good night sleep, while still having a room that overlooks the Apollofirst entrance. Additionally, there are a good number of stores and restaurants on Beethovenstraat that are just a short distance away. Lastly, there are three tram lines that follow Beethovenstraat, so it was very easy to get to anywhere in Amsterdam. This includes getting from the airport to the hotel which can be done via the south train station and then taking the tram 25 line - much easier than going into the central station.
Room - The hotel room was also a good fit. The Apollofirst hotel does have air conditioning, so getting out of the summer heat this year was possible. The bed was comfortable - I normally suffer from soft hotel beds, but at the Apollofirst Hotel, I had a "Goldilocks bed" that was just right. Lastly, the hotel room had a small fridge that was put to good use.

If I make a return trip to Amsterdam, I will definitely check the Apollofirst Hotel for availability.

Heel centraal gelegen, tussen museumplein en station Amsterdam Zuid. Heel rustig, veel groen, ideaal rustplekje na een drukke dag. Gezellige tuin. Vriendelijke service, heel hulpvaardig. Veel toffe tips gekregen. Bagage kan bijgehouden worden. Een aanrader!
