Metropolis Hotel

Everything!!! Bed bugs everywhere, not cleaned ever... tiniest of rooms. Management is very rude and not accommodating

Limpieza (la habitación y baño tenían olor a humedad) - era muy complejo tomar un baño sin mojar todo.

The cathedral bells are extremely loud throughout the day and night. Still waking up 1am to the loud bell and it’s impossible to not wake up to it 6am. It starts blasting for a whole minute 7:30am.

Our room was so small, smaller than in photos, that I needed to take another room. 2 people’s suitcases wouldn’t have even fit to the room (double room with twin beds). Bathroom very small for 2 as well, nowhere to put stuff. So I had to pay double for this stay because I could not have stayed in that tiny room with a friend.

The balcony is nice and view is nice, but also it’s dangerous, do not let kids there or even as an adult, watch out that you don’t trip on the door and fall over the very low fence.

The photos are quite misleading and seem to show a completely different room and a noticeably higher standard than what we experienced. Unfortunately, our room was unattractive, poorly maintained and not properly cleaned.

The paint on the radiator was peeling, and we found someone’s dirty socks behind it. The shower had a very basic fabric curtain, which did not feel particularly hygienic, and the toilet seat was barely attached. There were also exposed cables and switches missing their covers, which was concerning.

The room itself looked rather neglected, with dirty walls and very basic equipment. There was no kettle, no bottled water and hardly any additional amenities. The WiFi was also extremely slow and practically unusable.

Unfortunately, the room was very noisy as well. We could feel constant vibrations, almost as if we were in a moving truck, and sounds from the corridor were clearly audible throughout the room.

The breakfast looked very basic, so after seeing it, we decided not to have it.

We understand that this is a 2-star hotel and are not expecting luxury, but we do expect cleanliness, basic maintenance and a room that matches the photos. For us, the location unfortunately does not make up for the overall experience. In the future, we would rather travel a little further and choose somewhere else than stay here again.
