Suites Blue Hotel

SCAM HOTEL ALERT
This hotel is a scam. It previous operated under the name of Arise Suites Fira. Under that name, there were numerous reviews online to detail the tactics they used to scam people.
In 2025, they changed to a new name, Blue Arise Fira, and it was available to book under major websites such as Expedia and Booking.com. We booked ours through one of the websites during spring 2025.
As we got closer to our holiday, red flags begin to appear as this hotel is a scam and fake operation. No one ever answered the phone, no emails were replied to. We began to pressure our booking agent to investigate while also conducting our very own research.
The amounts of errors we find were overwhelming. Their emails on their website contain typos; almost all of the photos taken were old stock photos; they used an email that does not associate with them for communicating with other booking websites. The email they used were found under the managing company called Aegean Key, which does not list Blue Arise Fira under their management.
Because of how hard we pressed, they eventually picked up the phone and answered one of our emails. They ignored our request to do a live WhatsApp video to verify their authenticity, and honestly provided no evidence that their hotel was actually real.
With less than 72 hours to go, this hotel announced their "closure", and our booking was cancelled.
We highly suspect that Aegean Key would be involved in this, as they never replied to our emails about whether they manage Blue Arise Fira.
Please do a thorough research before booking, and avoid anything listed under Aegean Key as we cannot verify whether it is also a scam operated by the same people behind Blue Arise Fira.

Avoid at all costs we booked well in advance for next year without reading the reviews as it seems a good hotel won’t make that mistake again as they tried to take 500 pounds out of my account randomly 2 months after confirming we were all paid for now 3 months before we are meant to arrive they cancel us with no reason assuming this is because we got a good deal for booking in advance and would rather sell our room on for double the price don’t make our mistake and not check the reviews first.

We booked a room in November 2024 and they informed us in May 2025 that it's no longer available and that we would have to be transfered to another hotel. From other people's reviews, I realized the they wanted to transfer us to another hotel that is way worse (and definitely not worth the money). In the end, I requested refund.

This is a SCAM.
I booked there and after few days they changed the hotel description to a place 500meter away from the original hotel. A total scam.
They also try to charge you multiple times with you credit card.
Stay away from this B-suites or Blue suites.
Now they have a new name: Arise suites fira

Hot tub should be available all year more laundry info and kitchen should be open if hotel is

Do NoT BOOK here...The owner does not meet you, does not care you have teavelled very far to come to Greece. They will not be helpful for you.

There are many good hotels that care about the customer, they will be there to greet you and help you. This place is terrible..read the reviews.

TOTAL SCAM..do not stay here!!! The owner will accept your booking to get prepaid..then they say you must contact them 72 hours ahead..but they turn the phone off..that way you can't confirm and they don't either..so you can't cancel and you don't know if you have a room confirmation. The owner isn't there ..she lives in Russia and has a cleaning girl wait at the hotel ..only to say there is no room..

Its very nice place, perfect and very clean

The rooms are dates, bathroom had moldy shower curtain. At best a two star hotel.

*Scam Alert*
What a horrible experience we had. We arrived on 05/11/24 and we were told there was a wedding at the place so we need to move to another place that is about 500 meters away from Blue Suites. We were told to pull our big suitcases and walk. After expressing dissatisfaction we were taken by a filthy car to the place.

The manager was so rude and told us we need to call e-dreams and ask for our money back when we started complaining. The place we were moved to was a small room with 1 small window, no warm water, a broken shower curtain rail. We were told we would be picked up the following day at 10h00 am. We were not picked up the following day and no communication was made.

Around 14h00 we went to Blue Suites and the lady at the reception told us to wait for the following day. We booked ourselves another accommodation and left immediately. What a horrible experience

Property is good and value for money. Recommended for families and longer stays. The rooms are noisy during night. Toilets are not fresh and smells stinking

Beautiful property ! I booked the pool view room, that had a hot tub outside the door ! It was a beautiful stay, walking distance to shopping and restaurants, also sea view from the pool area ! I recommend !

We enjoyed our stay! Very clean and quiet! And the staff was very caring as we had food poisoning the last day and they went out of their way to comfort us and help.

The positives
The beds were very comfy, the pool was lovely with comfy sunbeds, and the room was cute and authentic Greek style which was appreciated as we wanted to embrace the Greek culture. We had a great sea view from a big balcony and the hotel looked nice from the outside.

The negatives
The bathroom was really not good. It desperately needed modernising and a deep clean. The shower attachment at the wall was corroded and wouldn't hold the shower head. It's not easy trying to wash your hair with one hand while the other holds the shower head. Only a trickle came from the sink so washing your hands took too long. There was a brown stain on the shower curtain that I hope was infact a stain and not a recent wiping.
There was a buzzing sound (a bit like a phone ringing on silent mode) that lasted 5 seconds and started every 45 seconds on repeat 24/7. Even with earplugs we couldn't sleep because the noise was driving us mad and made us aware of the passing time as we lay restless.
Breakfast was an embarrassment and might as well not have been provided. There was no toaster, no bowls or even milk to go with the cornflakes on offer. When my mum asked if there was milk for the cereal, the woman working in the kitchen rudely pointed to the hot milk by the coffee flask. When my mum asked if she could have cold milk on her cereal, the lady rudely grunted and took the bowl into the back and filled it with milk BEFORE my mum had put the cereal in the bowl. It was so full of milk that she could only put a few cornflakes on the top to float.
The woman very rude and moody.
Finally, the more luxurious pictures of the rooms and bathrooms seen online are not what you get when you arrive. I believe the photos are somewhere else entirely.

Good points:
Family run hotel - we usually met the mom, and her two daughters who were at the front desk and they were willing to help and were open to our requests.
Swimming pool was very nice and the outdoor area by the pool has been nicely done - lots of seats to enjoy the morning and evening breeze.
There was a small private hot tub / spa right outside our room.

Improvements:
Breakfast could be better - there was no fresh fruit sometimes. No bread on one day as the delivery was late.
We had reserved a room with an ocean view and they gave us a room with the front door and window facing the parking lot driveway - which was not in the direction of the ocean.
The toilet had no seat - it was just the structure.
When we first reached the hotel, they asked us if we wanted to pick one of three rooms - the one we stayed in - with one round bed that could sleep three and one twin. Another room that was inland by 5-7 mins walk that was more roomier however with one twin bed in another room and beds for three people one room and that had stairs to get up there, and the third room was in the Blue Suites building, however it was in the back of the building which was not ocean facing at all and no hot tub.
We took the first one because of no stairs and we asked them to bring in a roll away twin bed which they did.
However it was still not ocean facing and we were too exhausted to argue. We stayed there for three nights.
It is a 15 min walk from the hotel up the hill to Fira and the east side of the island which is the scenic slope with the white colored houses.
We did not have a car for our stay in Santorini which worked out fine.
The buses are AC, and take you to Oia in 20 mins. The bus stop to go to Oia is just behind the hotel (one good thing) and the bus comes every half hour.
When you come back from Oia, you have to get off at the main stop in Fira and then walk to the hotel for 15 mins.

When we docked at Santorini (we took a ferry from Athens to Santorini), we looked for a shuttle, waited for the shuttle to fill with passengers and it took about 30-45mins to get from the dock to our hotel.

We had booked a car initially before we left home, however we realized at the car rental office that the car is manual gear which we are not comfortable driving, so it took time to cancel the car. The car rental rep was upset and angry with us for making him bring the car to the dock. We called the rental company directly and canceled it and there was a minimal charge. So thankfully that went well.

If you get a nice room on the east side of Fira facing the caldera, would recomend that for sure. That would get you an amazing view. We booked only a month before our trip and since it was peak time, we booked this hotel as per our needs.

This property is one of the worst ever. Please do not book anything in in place. They are rude and quite aggressive. They fights with all the customers and hygiene is very poor in the properties. Worst! Worst! Worst! Mouldy bathrooms and broken beds that the perfect way to describe them.

DON'T go. The owners (who also run the place) are terribly rude, our family group got really bad food poisoning from their breakfast. When we arrived they told us to be careful because they usually find open doors and some people steal around the hotel. It smells like cat poo around the areas with the plants... The service takes away the AC control so we spent 2 afternoons without AC, when we asked for it they got angry... it was so bad, please, just don't go.

The property is beautiful from the outside. Our room not so great. Mattress so hard i could not sleep! We paid for sea view and got a room on the main floor overlooking the pool. Missing toilet seat and leaking fridge. Every day the owner would tell us the toilet seat would be installed tomorrow but tomorrow never came! The staff not so great, the lady in the kitchen terribly rude. A young man who works there named Teli was so kind and tried to make up for the hotels short comings. Beautiful pool and view from the pool area was great! Breakfast options terrible! Hotel owners clearly don’t care what you think! Take it or leave it attitude. Really a shame because this hotel has great potential.

Please save your money and go someplace else. The housekeeping staff were nice but didn’t clean the room properly, as the floor was not swept and the sink was dirty plus no clean glasses and stained towels. The reception staff was helpful and ordered me a car to take me to the airport to catch my flight. The driver was 20 minutes late for pick up. The reception said don’t worry about it you will make the flight. I responded I am paying for this service and it’s not okay for the driver to be late. The breakfast that was included was not very good at all, as the egg omelette was dry dry dry. I bought my breakfast every morning from a place down the road. There was a strong air freshener and in the room that I had to have removed because it was so strong it gave me a head ache. I later realized the air freshener was to cover up the smell in the room. There were no pool chairs only places to lay with cushions that were dirty and torn. I have always been pleased with Expedia’s accommodations but not this time
Very disappointing

Lovely suite, beautiful pool. Check in reception was great, friendly helpful. Ruins were a good size and beds comfortable.
Was not impressed with breakfast buffet. Offerings were ok, however many times everything empty. Had to ask for food to be put out and only 40 min into breakfast.. One morning the milk was curdling the coffee and they refused to replace staying milk was fine. Didn't have coffee or tea that morning
