It is very close to visiting the Petra site which is a big plus considering the hills the town is built on.
The rooms are clean. They are on the small size which can be challenging to open large suitcases. Bathroom is also small with a small shower. Choice of 2 shower heads is useful when freshening up after a day at the site. However I struggled to balance the hot water temperature when i knew at least 4 others were showering too. Walls are thin so can hear noisy neighbours. Lack of plugs to charge phone/devices.
Staff are friendly.
Breakfast has a lot of choice. Omelettes are cooked fresh as well as pancakes. A number of hot and cold dishes, European and Jordanian.
It's a very simple hotel less then a 5 minute walk from the ticket office to Petra.
The rooms are nice and clean, as is the bathroom. We had one bed that was big enough for two people and a toddler to sleep on. The room has a mini fridge, kettle and a small TV. I think it also had air conditioning, but we didn't need it. All the lights are managed centrally through an electronic panel by the door.
The staff at the front desk are amazingly kind and helpful - they helped us plan our trek into Petra properly.
We had breakfast at the restaurant both days to save time. The food is quite simple with a mix of western and Jordanian cuisine. You'll find pita, and rolls, cereal, pancakes, warm dishes (beans, spinach, etc.) and cold dishes (hummus, meze, pickles, cheese, meats, yogurts), coffee, tea, and a chef who will cook eggs for you. The breakfast is simple with a small buffet, but it's more than sufficient.
I would happily stay here again if I visited Petra in the future.
Fantastic hotel that has everything you need! Breakfast was delicious with fresh omelettes made to order (always the highlight of a good breakfast for me), rooms were very impressive with modern decor and recently refurbished. Customer service was excellent. Location was really good, only few minutes walk to the entrance gate of Petra. Car parking available. This hotel was great value for what you get and exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend.
great location and Ahmed the manager was very courteous
This is a decent hotel really well places for the historic sights. Staff very friendly and English spoken by many of them. Rooms are clean and comfortable and bathrooms spotlessly clean.
Restaurant for both breakfast and evening meal serves good quality food, with good selection of international and Jordanian options. And complementary tea available in reception…
Room is spacious, clean and comfortable! The decor is up-to-date and attractive.
Great rates and friendly staff!
After a long day of hiking to the ancient sites in Petra, this was ideal. The location is in close to the entrance to the Petra sites.
This hotel is very close to Petra gates so it’s the ideal place to stay while visiting . The hotel has a real Jordanian feel to it and the manager and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to the night receptionist who helped us return to Petra the next day after I had to cut our day there short though illness. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again , thank you to everyone there.
Extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating people. The breakfast and dinner was quite good.
Lots of positive things to say about La Maison Hotel Petra, but there were a couple of things that let the hotel down - hence why I only gave four stars overall.
Firstly the hotel is in a fantastic location - just a couple of minutes walk away from the visitors entrance into Petra, and just around the back of various restaurants and convenience stores on the Main Street.
The hotel and rooms are very modern, well appointed and clean. My room was quite spacious and very comfortable. One tiny niggle was that the shower was far too hot for my personal liking - but I know that plenty of people appreciate a boiling hot shower!
Breakfast was superb: with an impressive array of options to choose from. You can have an omelette cooked to order, and pancakes are also freshly made.
Laundry service was also fantastic - I put in a couple of items first thing in the morning, and they were back in my room before 3pm clean and pressed. Prices were really reasonable too.
They have a rooftop restaurant which my travel companions went to for dinner, but everything they ordered was unavailable so they went elsewhere. I went up there one afternoon for a cappuccino and was told they didn’t have any, so I asked for a milky coffee instead. After 15 minutes or so a black coffee arrived - so I asked for some milk and was told there was milk in it, which there definitely was not! After waiting for another 10 minutes a little jug of milk eventually arrived. At this point I was not particularly happy, but there was no apology and I still had to pay for a now cold coffee.
Despite the abysmal service from the top floor restaurant, I would certainly recommend staying at this lovely hotel. But maybe give the rooftop restaurant a miss.
A great hotel very close to the main entrance to the Petra archeological park.
A very clean hotel with updated rooms, a really nice shower and a great lobby.
The gentleman at the front desk was super willing to help me convert my USD to JOD and help me book tickets to the Petra at Night experience.
There are multiple restaurants, shops and souvenir stores within an easy walking distance to the hotel.
The only "bad" thing is that it seems like the walls of the rooms are a little thin so I was able to follow along to the song that the people in the room next to me were listening to beginning at 0700 every morning.
I had a delightful stay at La Maison hotel in Petra. The location was perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the Petra visitor center, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city. The buffet was excellent, offering a variety of delicious options. Moreover, the concierge and bellman were exceptionally friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Petra.
Nice hotel to stay in, even on the long term. Especially, the room service good to mention the name of the two most kind person there is Bahadur and Amrit. Need to mention it us very clean the swimming pool is big, and the gym has everything there.
Excellent all round
Hotel is 5 mins away from Petra visitors centre and if good value for money.
The staff at the reception was very helpful and gave us some good tips to plan out visits in Petra. They can also arrange for breakfast boxes to be taken into Petra if you wish to leave early
Bathroom is a bit old and needs an upgrade. Breakfast was very basic
Good location, parking space opposite to the hotel. Basic amenities but breakfast has good choices.
Recently spent 2 nights here in the double king room at a cost of around £85 per night. It was perfect for us. If you only have a limited amount of time in the area then you will want to be as close to Petra as possible if you don't have a car, and this hotel is just a short walk away. We received a friendly greeting upon check in and were provided with lots of useful information about visiting Petra. Unfortunately I came down ill that night, and the next morning the very kind gentleman on reception helped us organise a taxi to the pharmacy for a reasonable price, which I really appreciated. After a long day at Petra, it was so nice to come back to a clean and comfortable room where I could relax while not feeling too well. There is a lovely rooftop terrace where you can enjoy a tea or juice. Overall, this is the perfect hotel for a short stay in Petra and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
A fabulous location less than 5 minutes from the entrance to Petra. The hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with eggs and pancakes made to order and a good selection of items. The rooms are good with fridge and tea and coffee facilities l. Excellent air conditioning and the bathroom is well equipped.
This has to be the best located and value for money hotel in Petra. 5 minutes from the entrance to the ruins. Clean, spotless room, helpful, friendly reception staff with good language skills. Excellent breakfast and evening buffet menu. Tremendous variety of food - 8 different desserts! Tasty main course options and so many different salads. The dining experience was made special by the senior, experienced, well dressed restaurant manager. His attention to detail was remarkable. Whether it was a single lady, an infant or large tour group, he managed everything so effortlessly. Please give him promotion before he retires!
For a 3 star this hotel was lovely. the air con worked, the bathrooms were a bit small, but still allowed you to have a shower etc, fridge in the room which was great to store my water etc, was lovely to come back to after 9 hours in Petra. bed was comfortable enough.
Buffet for dinner & breakfast offered a good selection. Staff helpful all the way round, only down side for me was that the TV in the room had no link to TV, would have been good if I had cables etc to link up laptop. but travelling light.
A yes a very short walk to the entrance for Petra.
Very conveniently located near the entrance gate of Petra
