Casa Wagner Brasov

My wife and I stayed for three nights in Casa Wagner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Prior to our arrival, communication with the hotel was excellent, they responded quickly to questions that we asked. We requested a room in a quiet part of the hotel and we were given a room which looked over a courtyard rather than the square.

Perfect - it was very quiet and we were able to sleep well.
The room was not furnished to a high standard but that didn't matter as we didn't spend much time in the room. It was just a base for us so it was just the right size for us. It was comfortable, especially the bed, with a pleasant little balcony with a table and two chairs.
The location of the hotel could not have been better - right on the Piata Sfatului and within walking distance of the interesting places to visit in the centre.
The bathroom was very spacious and it had a great shower.
The only slightly downside of the room was the poor wifi reception. However, in an old building it isn't surprising.
Breakfast was excellent - something for everyone including fried and scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages along with cereals, salad items, cheese, ham etc etc. A large choice. We really enjoyed the breakfast and it set us up for the day.
Good value for money.

A good choice in a great central location. My room kept being mistaken for the door to the restaurant, which meant people kept trying to get in during the evening dinner period and morning breakfast time. Maybe move the sign next to the door so it is clearer!!!! Otherwise a very decent stay.

Be aware there are stairs that are a bit challenging. Also the Wi-Fi did not reach our room, so we had to walk to a common area to use it.

Great location to the main square. With some rooms having views of the square and the Brasov mountain sign. Parking is definitely not convenient or near by. But that's not an exception for this hotel. Would stay here again.

We loved the location of this homey hotel on the main square of Old Town Brasov with cordial staff. It's a great base for exploring the main tourist attractions in the city. The hotel restaurant is excellent for dinner, and breakfast is well presented. Would definitley stay here again.

This hotel is great value and is right on the main square even though our room was nice and quiet. Wagners Loft Restaurant is attached and does good Romanian food and also supplies your breakfasts which are included.

Everything is good, but too many stairs and no elevators.
Not easy go with suits cases to 3 floor.

Nice looking room, air con was strong, but not in the downstairs area, the bed area was very stuffy. No curtains on several of the small windows had no curtains (not overlooked) but let in lots of light. Bed was a bit creaky, but you’d expect that with an old place like this.

Generally good and I’d stay again. Shower door was broken and the cleaner had left half a drunk can of coke on the side when we arrived.

Good choice in the mini bar.

The location couldn’t be better. The restaurant was great. The staff was very accommodating. We had a great stay.

Location of hotel is AMAZING, right on the main square there is everything you need in a beautiful setting. Staff was very friendly and the hotel is very unique and beautiful.

Great location and beautiful room with a view to the square. You will hear the church bells in the morning. Very charming !

A charming hotel located in the heart of the city square. The room, service, location & atmosphere rated a 5 out of 5. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there are no elevators but the staff was willing to assist in carrying the luggage down the stairs. I felt safe walking in the neighborhood even at night as a solo travellers.

Right in the middle of everything !

The only downside to our visit was the fact we were in the attic room and had a flight of stairs from reception and a small winding staircase to navigate to our room. If you are a tea drinker, I recommend you take your own as the hotel does not provide this in your room. The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean and the friendly staff are always on hand should you need assistance. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely be going back for another visit ☺️👌
