Friendly service, but traffic noise from the street-facing room made it impossible to sleep

Cons:

We had booked a two-night stay, including breakfast. However, after spending the first night at the hotel, we decided to leave early in the morning, having managed only about four hours of sleep.

Unfortunately, our room was facing the main road in front of the hotel. Traffic noise remained noticeable throughout the evening and into the night, making it difficult for us to rest. Even with earplugs, I was unable to sleep comfortably. We believe our experience might have been different if we had been assigned a room away from the road.

We requested a refund for the second night, which we decided to cancel, but this was not granted.

In our view, rooms that are significantly affected by traffic noise should either be clearly identified in advance or priced accordingly. At approximately €200 per night, we feel it would be helpful for guests to be informed beforehand that these rooms may be subject to noticeable noise disturbances.
