Wonderful stay at Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo. Elegant atmosphere, beautiful service, and a truly comfortable experience. Special thanks to Mr. Carlos and Shady at reception for their kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality. They made the stay memorable.
I came with my best friend from Chile and this has been the best hotel in my whole life travelling in several other countries and continents.
Firstly everything is clean extremely clean, the receptionist, security guard and the staff of the kitchen is so kind. The room is big and bathroom have everything what we need. It is so well think everything.
They are a resolutive staff in this hotel because they resolve and issue that we had with booking application on the reservation. So they really take care of our issue and resolve so this is really customer centricity and customer first.
We highly recommend to come to Cairo and stay in this hotel because it makes an excellent experience
Carlos was an excellent team member for the hotel and support us on the problem resolution with booking application.

It’s a nicely appointed hotel with comfortable bedrooms, lovely roof terrace and restaurants.
The food served is of a high quality
I paid £270 per night B&B. I don’t feel this is good value, despite booking 6 months in aft and requesting high floor room, I was given a room of floor 3. There’s extremely heavy traffic 24 hours right below, and this combined with live music a pen air across the Nile , starting up around midnight until about 4am, sleep eluded me.
Having been told by Reception that I was “ Lucky to get early check in “ and request for higher floor ignored I did investigate looking at other hotels for remaining 3 nights however would have lost too much money,
Called Reception at 8 am and the offered me a suite at back of hotel or a move to floor 7 which I accepted ,
It was quite a bit calmer up there thankfully .
My Butler Mahmoot was excellent, professional and friendly, he greatly enhanced my stay.
Overall , I think some staff fall short on acceptable levels of customer service , while others are very helpful and friendly.
It’s a safe area for a stroll around but get your runners on to cross the road!
Localisation est bonne
Hôtel très ancien besoin de rénovation, le rooftop/piscine est microscopique, qualité prix très moyenne
Not much.
I’m honestly really disappointed with my stay here. From the moment I arrived, the staff came across as cold and not welcoming at all, which immediately gave a bad first impression.
I specifically booked a room with a view, but there was basically no view, definitely not what was advertised, so that felt quite misleading.
The cleanliness was also not up to standard. The room didn’t feel properly cleaned, and overall it just seemed a bit neglected. On top of that, some of the equipment in the room wasn’t working, which made the stay even more frustrating.
After reading other reviews, I can see I’m not the only one , I experienced many of the same issues people have already mentioned.
For the following nights, I booked another hotel in the same area, and the difference is honestly huge - a completely different (and much better) experience compared to this place.
The GM offered me a spa voucher, which I didn’t use. I appreciate the gesture, but I would much rather have the basic things I actually paid for meet the expected standard, instead of trying to make up for them with extras.
This is definitely not a 5-star experience, and nowhere near what you’d expect from Kempinski. Honestly, it feels more like a 3-star hotel at best. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Our 12-night stay at the Kempinski Nile was wonderful, from our initial meet and greet at the airport to our final drop off at Cairo International Airport. My emails regarding our planning for guided tours with the concierge were answered promptly. The Kempinski Nile was an excellent choice. We reserved the Deluxe Nile Suite, overlooking the Nile. The suite was comfortable, the view of the Nile superb, and the Executive Lounge that was included in our stay completed a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the enormous selection of the buffet breakfast which were delicious and the offerings at the Executive Lounge fantastic. All the staff were gracious, welcoming, and helpful. Sabry the concierge, Ibrahim at breakfast, Rajeb and Hassan in the Executive Lounge, and Mohamed from the Butler Team. Of particular note, Sabry arranged for our personal guide in Cairo, Sara, an Egyptologist who was the best guide one could ask for, for her breath of knowledge and outgoing and friendly manner, leaving us with a memorable stay in Cairo.
The best staff you can ever meet across the globe by far. The moment you are in, you feel like home with friends. Not to mention the cleanliness of the rooms and amazing food, will return soon for sure.
I spent a week at the Kempinski Nile and had a fantastic stay.
The location is very central, but in the Garden City district, which is slightly quieter and next to the British Embassy, in a historic neighbourhood. When you step outside the hotel, no one approaches you to sell you something or tries to drag you into a shop, which is not always the case in Cairo.
It should be noted that the street outside is very busy with traffic and there is no pedestrian crossing. However, once you go up to the rooftop of the hotel, you realise you are right on the Nile. I did get used to crossing the road after a couple of days. You are also near Tahrir Square and the original Egyptian Museum, which you should not miss if you are also going to the Grand Egyptian Museum.
I loved the gym, which also overlooks the Nile. It is quite small but very well maintained. The rooftop pool is also small, but it was great having a rooftop bar, and a lot of guests seemed to enjoy relaxing there. In the early evening I liked the Jazz Lounge, which again has beautiful views and a cosy, private club feel. In the foyer there is also the Chocolate Lounge, where they sometimes had a harpist. So there are a lot of places to go within the hotel itself.
I had half board and ate most evenings in The Osmanly Restaurant, a Turkish restaurant run by the excellent restaurant manager Yousaf. Yousaf runs the place brilliantly, and I would highly recommend this restaurant even to people who are not staying in the hotel. I also want to mention Ashraf, who is excellent front of house. He combines humour and professionalism with a genuine sense of wanting you to try everything on the menu, and even prepared a few surprises. My thanks to everyone in this restaurant.
Breakfast was in The Blue Restaurant, which becomes an Italian restaurant in the evening. The highlight for me was the freshly baked Egyptian bread. There is a wide range of international and Egyptian dishes, and it is a real treat to have breakfast overlooking the Nile. Again, my thanks to Adham, Mina and Mounir, who were excellent waiters at breakfast, bringing me fresh mint tea and always being attentive.
Housekeeping was twice a day and the hotel is very clean, with spacious rooms. Both cleaners who looked after my room, one in the morning and one in the evening, were excellent. If you stay at this hotel, you will get to know the staff, not in a pushy way, but in a genuinely charming and warm way that made me sad to leave.
The concierge staff are amazing, and you feel that any issue you have will be dealt with. A special thanks to Hussein and Sabry, who went out and got my blood pressure medication when I had forgotten it in the UK. They had it all ready for me when I arrived, and I appreciated that so much.
A couple of small ideas for improvement:
The hot drinks at breakfast could perhaps be developed a little. It would have been lovely to have the same quality of coffee at breakfast that was served elsewhere in the hotel.
The excursions arranged through the hotel are at a very premium price. While everything was organised very smoothly and effortlessly, I think it would be a nice touch for the hotel to check afterwards that guests were happy with the experience, especially given the investment involved.
Thank you for a fantastic stay. I will be back.
