Rooms are spacious, minimalist and comfortable. The service at Santa Clara is great and the breakfast is excellent.
There are discrepancies in the services offered to the guests. For example, my family was offered the day trip to the Sofitel property in Baru by the staff in Santa Clara. Then when we booked the service in Bóvedas they said it was fully booked for the next days. We came back to Santa Clara and they were able to book it without complaint. When we explained this as the reception in Bóvedas, the staff never apologized or tried to explain the situation. It was rude and made my family felt uncomfortable. A boutique hotel should always make feel their guests with respect and hospitality. That is their utmost priority. Not like they are doing guests a favor. Otherwise there is no hospitality altogether.

For a little bit of context, my family and I decided to shelter here in Cartagena from the blazing summer days of Texas and found Bovedas to be the perfect place.
When we arrived, the friendly staff greeted us accommodatingly. With the whole thing feeling genuinely handcrafted for us, we made it to our room to have the breath taken away from us by the incredible ocean scenery just outside our window and the beautiful, spotless interior. The more nights we stay, we discover more reasons to love this charming ocean-front hotel.
Great hotel and friendly staff. The hotel was a little loud due to world cup but all was excellent.
Locatie is top, de faciliteiten van het Sofitel aan de overkant (waar je gebruik van kan maken) zijn echt uniek in Cartagena.

We got a great welcome and I really want to thank the hotel for the amenities they provided us as top Accor ALL guests. Atmosphere and vibe were great, very relaxed place and amazing view from the duplex family room. Location is a great plus, very close to the action but not exactly within it. I consider the value I received for the money I paid was fair. Staff in general is helpful and courteous, no complains there. Breakfast in the neighboring partner hotel is okay, but being able to use the pool is a great plus and kids really enjoyed. The thing that bothered me the most is that some parts of the room were obviously not cleaned in a while, and the accumulated dust was probably several weeks old. Also, just before checking out the air conditioner stopped working properly, which is very uncomfortable considering the heat and humidity. Other than these two points, I would definitely consider returning.
