Second time we have stayed here and unfortunately will be our last due to baby on the way! However we love Crete that much we have found our dream venue in Crete and have chosen the Orpheas resort for our guests to stay in 2027!

Now to the good part, we had room 411 which is one of the best rooms in the hotel so well worth the upgrade ( even 412 or 410). Staff this year were even better with new recruits from Rena and her team Migel & Ardit are fantastic and will do anything to help you.

The food is great in the morning and evening with different options and good bars and restaurants very close by if you wanted to change it up.

The hotel had a good make over with the pool being painted and surrounded areas and no fights for sunbeds with is amazing.

One of the best hotels within the area and would still highly recommend.

My friend & I stayed at this hotel for 7 days in early June. We had a late afternoon flight, so with the 2 hour time difference, we didn't arrive until about 10pm. We were greeted warmly by Antonis, who informed us how to check in on our phones, which was relatively painless. We were shown to the dining room for a delicious cold platter of meats, cheeses & Greek salad 😋 which was laid on due to us missing our evening meal.
We were shown to our room by a nice lady with a torch, as the lighting was quite subtle amongst the garden paths at this time of night. We had a ground floor room with twin beds, 2 wardrobes with plenty of hangers & a shower in the bathroom. There is a normal size hairdryer on top of the safe in one of the wardrobes, so you can use it in the main room in front of a big mirror rather than one of those dinky things that are fixed on the bathroom wall with a steamed up mirror.
The shower sometimes flooded if you're not careful, but that wasn't really an issue as the cleaner would always replace the floor mat if it got drenched! Our room was on the end facing the seafront, although the trees blocked some of the view it was lovely to sit outside on our little terrace listening to the waves. The gardens are well kept & watered, so everything is lush & green. There is a separate beach bar open during the day for snacks, light lunches & drinks. All very reasonable. You can charge it to your room or pay by cash or card. There is also a pool there, which is very quiet if you want to chill out. There is also a Spa just to the left of it, but we didn't use it.
There are sunbeds with an umbrella on the beach, but you have to pay €6 daily. We felt this was quite reasonable & you can charge this to your room or just pay the guy when he comes up to give you your ticket.
The breakfast was plentiful, but everything was in hot plates, so fried eggs were hard & the omelette were sliced up. There were no scrambled eggs & the toaster was extremely slow. There were all the usual continental dishes, yoghurt you spooned yourself, pastries, cereal & fresh fruit.
The evening meals were buffet style with 1 or 2 choices for vegetarians & the salads were wonderful, as was the fresh friut. They also had show cooking with a different dish each night.
There's hardly any entertainment at this hotel, but the bars across the busy main road sometimes had live music & the Pirates bar just along from our hotel was quite lively.
There's a large supermarket across the road too, so if you want any provisions or water, it's ideal. There is a fridge in your room, but it's a fixed mini bar with charges if you have something from it.
The drinks at the hotel were very reasonable & the barman is so friendly. He will go out of his way to make whatever you like & he makes great cocktails🍸 The hotel is adults only & is reflected in the clientele. We did an evening trip to Chania town booked at one of the kiosks just outside our hotel. It took an hour on an air-conditioned coach with a tour guide. There's a beautiful harbour there with lots of tavernas, restaurants & bars so if you want a change of scenery it's well worth it. There's several kiosks selling different trips & you go on a road train to those nearby. They're also good fun.
The staff at the Orpheas hotel are very helpful, professional & friendly, the cleaning team always greets you with a smile & the reception staff are extremely helpful. If you want a chilled, laid-back holiday, this is the place to be.

This hotel seems to adapt the low-cost model. You pay a base price for the bare necessities - if you want more or even something of quality: you pay.

The room is quite spacious, however the bathroom floor floods when you take a shower, with all the smells from the sewage that comes with such a flooding. You want to use the safe in the room? You pay.

Breakfast proposes two fresh options by a lovely cook: eggs and pancakes. The rest have been bought in bulk and are simply heated (if you’re lucky). Filter coffee included, you want cappuccino or latte? You pay. Water with sweet orange flavour included, you want orange juice? You pay. Staff was unfriendly and didn’t look you in the eyes when “welcoming”.

Well located at beachfront with private beach. However, you want to use the loungebeds on this private beach? You pay. Also keep in mind that the wind on Crete is quite intense on the North, so red flag every day.

Cherry on the top was our check-out. My partner booked a massage (100€ for 55mn) and specifically asked if the timeslot was okay since we had check-out at 12pm. Massage therapist checked with reception, no problem. 12:07 - reception called to asked if we were coming 12:09 - cleaning lady knocked on the door and shouted “check-out is 12!!!” while pointing at her watch.

Final note: this adult-only hotel is sandwiched between two family friendly hotels with all the noise from mini-discos and whatsoever you might expect.

Visited for 7 days but wanted longer. Been previously to the area back 2023 so needed somewhere with value and look no further than the Orpheas.

From check in to check out everything was perfect. Friendly staff ( Eda) we knew her brother Andy from Sirokos restaurant ( small world) the bar staff during the day were also 5 * along with the restaurant staff in the evening. The food was amazing from breakfast to evening meals with lots of choices.

The rooms were very big and very secure. the out Jacuzzi is a must or outside pools look great!

Quiet pool - sun loungers you could get ( very hot in July) if not make your way down to the pool bar which we stayed and could get a sunbed. If not there’s plenty on the beach so you have so much choice

Location amazing for the beach or the local restaurants and also bars for us ( pirates bar) if you wanted a late night boogie!

We are planning our wedding in 2027 down the road so will definitely be back at this hotel and have recommended to family and friends.

The hotel is a perfect choice for a relaxing holiday. Quite and beautiful clean beach. The staff is very kind and friendly. We recommend it and would definitely come back! Thanks for an unforgettable stay.

As soon as you enter this quirky hotel you feel a sense of calm and welcoming. We arrived in the early hours, the rooms have individual styles, the bed was beautifully comfortable. We were there for 2 weeks our room was on the 1st floor, for us it was ideal. Roomy, excellent balcony, beautiful views of mountains to the left, the gardens, and partial sea view to the right. A short stroll to the sandy beach, pool bar and choice of pools. The lobby was a calm, cooler relaxing area enjoyed by us too. The breakfast was plentiful and the food good. Alternatively, it's location lends itself to handy access to shops, supermarkets and a choice of tavernas. (One thing to note, the main road is busy and not the easiest to cross for those who may find a dash across, not that easy to do!) However, you are NOT disturbed by any car noise within the hotel. Orpheas Resort is a beautiful, tranquil, homely hotel. The staff are simply excellent and certainly help the stay to be as good as it possibly could be. We want to go back again, to relax and have another restorative break. So as an adult only hotel, if you are looking to 'step off' this relaxing hotel is a pleasure to recommend ⛱️💞

Just got back from an amazing week away with my partner, met some lovely couples who we will definitely stay in contact with and definitely friends for life! We got on so well with some, that we were with them most evenings.

I love how secluded and private the hotel is, with being an adults only hotel this is really important to us.

Loved the added touch of the hot tub, it was so roomy it fit all 4 of us in one time which came in handy.

Thanks again for the week, I felt so free and have come back revitalised.

From the minute you walk in to this beautiful hotel you feel the calm and traditional Greek feeling. Staff are so helpful . Food brilliant with lots of choice , we booked half board but intended to go out some evenings however we only ate out once as the food and choice was so good. We had a suite with private pool which was lovely and nice to come back to after a day on the private beach and also first thing in the morning. Food at the pool bar was also excellent. We will definitely return as everything you need is at your fingertips . Absolutely loved our 11 nights here and highly recommend if you want a peaceful, away from it all, holiday.

Absolutely stunning little boutique hotel in a quiet area. Other luxury hotels are in close proximity as are plenty of little tavernas & restaurants. There are a number of shops and supermarkets across the road, but all are unobtrusive making this a great area for a chilled, relaxing break.
The resort is on its own beach with ample sunbeds and there are beautiful pools and gardens with sun beds for everyone.
The Adults only class made this a perfect get away for us to just kick back and enjoy the sun!
The restaurant and pool bar are excellent, plenty of choice of top quality food and drinks.
A special thank you must be made to Rena for her first class attention to detail and friendly manner. Also, the ladies in reception who couldn’t do enough to ensure we had an amazing break.
And our room was wonderful! Private jacuzzi and terrace, not overlooked butl iterally a few steps from all the facilities. We will definately be back

We spent a week at Orpheas Resort Hotel at the start of May & thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a late flight so were expecting to just get our keycard and head to our room when we arrived. We were greeted with a delicious selection of food reserved for us, a great welcome and it was much appreciated. The room was lovely, however in the information we read before booking we saw that the rooms were described as soundproof. That's definitely not the case. We could hear music from the neighbouring hotel and other guests chatting. The entire hotel was spotless. The cleaning team works really hard! The food was great, lots of choice, fresh and delicious. The team working the breakfast and dinner sittings were brilliant. One receptionist in particular was incredibly helpful, giving us tips on where we could go for different activities when we asked about options. The only down side for us was that there's one really nice undercover area by the pool (along with sunbeds etc that are around the pool) and because we were there at the start of the season it wasn't always warm and there was a day of rain. We would have loved to sit out there but that area was always taken by smokers. While there was nothing stopping us sitting in there, as non-smokers, we would have liked another option. The beach that we could access from the back of the hotel was fabulous, clean and safe. It was a wonderful week!

From the moment you enter Orpheas hotel you feel the relaxed atmosphere, the almost serene peace that we were longing so much for when we booked our holiday. The fact that it is an 'adult only' hotel (minimum age is 16 years) surely helped. The good experience started at the reception where all employees not only speak several languages, but are also very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The help with our luggage was very much appreciated. The room we had exceeded our expectations: spacious, spotlessly clean and with a breathtaking seaview. Imagine.. falling asleep with the sound of the waves.
The new pool is beautiful and has sunbeds around to relax. Or you can read a book in the well maintained garden. And if you prefer the beach with umbrellas and sunbeds, it is only a 5 minute walk.
Breakfast buffet has a great variety and everything is fresh. For a little extra cost a big glass of fresh orange juice (without icecubes) was served at our table.
Diner buffet is also very nice and tasty. Enough choice and variety for everyone to find some dishes you like. They also serve good wines at a normal price.
Staff in the restaurant is very friendly and helpful too. Same for the poolbar where you can order a tasty lunch à la carte for a reasonable price. Overall you can see that all the employees have satisfaction and pleasure in giving the guests a good time. Add the good price-quality balance and then it is clear why we definitely recommend this hotel.

A simply superb stay. The Orpheas is so very different to the grey concrete boxes of hotels in Kavros, having a lovely Bohemian and boutique feel, with gorgeous, well tended gardens and excellent rooms. The food was fantastic, with a wide and plentiful choice of dishes. The staff were amazing, from Vicki on reception, the bartenders, the waitresses, the room cleaner, the cook at the Pool Bar and especially Nikos, the porter... These guys and girls could really not do enough to make our stay perfect. We had a suite which was very clean and comfortable, with a modern bathroom, fridge and it's own little plunge pool in the garden. The food at the pool bar was excellent and the beach was superb with gorgeous, golden sand.
