It was a good location. The hotel was modern and rooms comfortable.

Cons:

I was disappointed in the meal in the restaurant. We had the burger, the description didn’t match the meal. I was kept awake in the night due to the room Next Door a lady having noisy sex for quite a long time.

Could have been better
Pros:

Breakfast was Very good as was the bar and restaurant. The staff were very good too.

Cons:

We were put into a new connected building which meant a fair walk whilst they had been advised that my wife was disabled.
The duvet was very small and really meant for just one bed not two joined beds, we were told we should have contacted reception but it was late and we were very tired.

Vier sterren voor het bed, min één ster voor het totaal gebrek aan gastvrijheid.
Pros:

Erg tevreden over de properheid van de kamer & de badkamer. Het bed & matras in de erg ruime superior kamer beviel ons bijzonder goed. Een pluim en 11/1O voor de kuisdames.

Cons:

De opvallende onvriendelijkheid van het personeel. Als gast heb je voortdurend het gevoel van niet welkom te zijn. Alles wat je zegt, of vraagt, is hen eigenlijk teveel. Toen we (om 23h45, een kwartier voor sluitingstijd), vroegen of we nog iets in de bar konden drinken, vond de receptionist het niet nodig om te antwoorden. In plaats daarvan werd er met een verveeld gebaar gewezen naar de bar. Daar moesten we het mee doen. In de bar keek de barman ostentatief naar de klok, waarbij hij nog eens extra vermeldde dat hij nog tijd had om welgeteld één drank te schenken, dat we daarna nog wat konden blijven zitten, maar dat de bar dus wèl zou sluiten om 24h. In de end vonden we de barman dan toch nog sympathieker dan de (omhooggevallen) receptionist. De barman -die er trouwens erg vermoeid uitzag- deed tenminste nog enigszins de moeite: hij sprak tegen ons én schonk ons een glas. 's Morgens werd de onwelkome vibe verder gezet in de ontbijtruimte. Mijn zus zat aan de ontbijttafel om 8h30. De ongerustheid van de (niet helemaal onvriendelijke) bedienende dame in kwestie bleek groot toen mijn zus vertelde wat later terug te keren met mij en pas dàn het ontbijt te nuttigen. Al snel werd duidelijk waarom. Toen we om 9h45 onze (zeer sterke en bitter smakende) koffie dronken, werden even later -en wel s t i p t om 10h- de twee beeldschermen in de ontbijtruimte uitgeschakeld. Niet dat wij nu vanaf 's morgens al naar een beeldscherm liggen te kijken -we vonden het zelfs hoogst onnodig en ongezellig- maar het gaf opnieuw de heersende sfeer weer van urgent te moeten opkrassen. Na het uitschakelen van de schermen, werd er enthousiast (dan wel!) gerammeld met servies en tassen, en heen er weer gelopen. De stoel werd nog net niet onder onze derrière vandaar getrokken. Conclusie: als je in het hotelwezen werkzaam wil zijn, en je wil leren hoe het absoluut n i e t moet, dan is dit the place to be.
