LABRANDA Rocca Nettuno Tropea

From the moment you are greeted by the friendly reception desk, prepare for a truly enjoyable and memorable vacation at the Rocca Nettuno resort. The rooms, gardens and facilities are recently renovated and kept in immaculate condition and are stunningly beautiful!

The private beach with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas is situated right in front of a separate beach bar and restaurant, which makes it convenient to spend your day there without wanting for anything. The water is so clear that on calm days you would swear it was glass. The pool area is well organized, with separate areas of loungers if you prefer some quiet time during the day.

Every year we visit (this was our third), the food experience gets better and better, with an incredible variety of foods prepared by chefs that results in what feels like a truly elevated experience over many other resorts. The seafood in particular is outstanding. You will never forget the sunsets from your dining table each and every night!

A very special thanks to Giovanni and Antonella for the warm welcome and your exceptional service throughout our stay. You have become very good friends to us over the years. Pasquale, Pascal, Franceso and Michaele in the dining area are the consummate professionals and I cannot forget to thank Guiseppe who made us the best lattes in the morning!

Lastly, thank you Emma for ensuring our room was spotless and well supplied throughout our stay and for always being so friendly to us!

This is our third visit to the Rocca Nettuno and definitely not our last.
There are a few changes since the property changed ownership this year but we were thrilled to see all our favourite staff are still here and that the rooms and grounds are better than ever.
We had an ocean view room that was very spacious, immaculately kept and had all the amenities we needed. Plus, the view was breathtaking!
The food is absolutely the best we have ever experienced and we are so impressed with the Chefs and the staff for all their incredible work in the dining room.
The private beach is one of the biggest highlights of the property and is always so well
maintained.
The gardening crew do an outstanding job of creating the most beautiful landscape throughout the entire property - there is beauty in everywhere you look.
Without a doubt, the best part of a visit to the Rocca Nettuno is the staff. I don’t think I have ever stayed at a resort where the staff are so warm, friendly and happy. Every single staff member we encountered were an absolute delight to meet. There are far too many to name individually but I wanted to give a very special thanks to the following:

- Giovanni at the front desk. We are truly indebted to Giovanni for all he does to make our time at the Rocca Nettuno absolutely wonderful!
- Antonella - front desk; so very lovely and helpful all the time
- Emma - housekeeping; a spotless room every day. And always smiling!
- Vlad! He saved the day by making sure we could watch the Italian National football game. A lovely and helpful person.
- Pascal in the dining room; thank you for your warm hospitality and outstanding service
- Giuseppe - magnificent cafe lattes everymorning!
- Pasquale - at the dining room. So happy and friendly every single day. We love to hear him singing and whistling!
- Nicola - dining room manager . The dining room is top notch!

A week-long vacation at this hotel (4 adults), all-inclusive. The hotel's location is excellent with beautiful views. It sits atop a high cliff, with an elevator that takes you down to the hotel's private beach (there’s a hotel's beach bar offering drinks, pizza, pasta, etc.). The hotel's garden is large and exceptionally well-maintained. Stunning. The all-inclusive meals were tasty, with options for vegetarians as well. House wines and beers were included with meals, and the desserts were delicious. The tennis court was available for booking, and it was easy to get time slots every day. There were a few fitness machines in the garden, but the hotel doesn't have a proper gym. The hotel is clean, and there was evening entertainment every night (though it ended early enough that music didn’t disturb the rooms). Our hotel room was basic, with the pillows being slightly uncomfortable. We didn't book a sea view, but we still got a partial one. Nice. Our adult children had a garden view, which was also nice. The hotel staff was hardworking, friendly, and eager to help.

This hotel is completely over rated! The food is horrible and the free alcohol is watered down. The pools are not heated including the hot tubs. Everyone smokes everywhere. The beach has no sand just sharp rocks. There is no adult pool even thought their website states it’s an Adult Resort! Babies and kids everywhere.
No Concierge service and limited elevators.

Un po scomoda per chi volesse spostarsi sia lungo la spiaggia che via strada mezzi pubblici inesistenti e parcheggi limitati

When I came to the hotel I thought that i would be alone the whole trip and have almost no fun at all. That completely changed when i started talking to emilia and caterina. They made me feel very welcome and tried to translate italian for me when i could not understand. Emilia was with me when i felt the most alone and the junior club with both of them made me feel included in a group of italians. If i was to visit this hotel again they both would be the thing i look forward the most.
The hotel by it self is very beautifull and makes the guests feel like they have a exciting experience ahead of them.

Beautiful place, perfect sea and extremely professional staff.
I would ask the local confectioner and ice cream maker to marry him :)
Hotel environment maintained with a beautiful garden. Ala carte restaurant with excellent service. I can only recommend it, it's really worth it

Overall we had a very nice stay at Rocca Nettuno!

Among the positive things:
Amazing location above the beach in Tropea
Nice pool area
Fresh rooms with good AC
Most staff are very polite

There are a few things that however could be improved.

Most notably, the time slots for all meals are very short. For example lunch starts at 12.30 and lasts until 14.30, but they take away all the food 14.00 and 14.30 you are literally thrown out of the restaurant. The same goes for the dinner, so if you don’t arrive before 8 pm (very early given we are in Italy) you have no chance to enjoy a relaxing meal.

Secondly, the drinks included are not good. The “cocktails” are a joke and the soda tastes very bad. I’d rather pay to get proper drinks.

The dinner is ok given that it’s a buffet, but it could defiantly highlight more of the regional Calabrian cuisine.

But overall, still a very nice experience!

Was für ein Hotel!
Wahnsinns Ausblick aufs blaue klare Meer.
Wunderschöne gepflegte Anlage - wirklich Umwerfend.
Privater Strand mit Liegen und Schirm.
Gratis Standuppaddle boards und Tretboote zum ausleihen.
Sehr nettes Personal vom Check-In bis zum Bademeister.
Perfekter Ort um es sich ein paar Tage gutgehen zu lassen.
Leckere Pizza am Strandrestaurant auch mittags.

Zu den negativen Seiten:
- Wir hatten leider ein etwas älteres Zimmer mit lauter Klimaanlage
- Die Auswahl beim Essen ist gigantisch und es schmeckt auch meistens gut. Muss aber sagen, es ist oft etwas zu Fancy. Spaghetti Carbonara sind doch gut genug, warum muss da noch Thunfisch und Lachs rein???
- Es gibt selten Schokonachspeisen (zumindest beim Abendessen)
- Grundsätzlich gutes Essen mit reichlich Auswahl, und das hier ist jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau, aber das Essen des Diani Beach Sea Lodge Hotel in Kenia (ebenfalls Holidaycheck Award) war besser.

- PINA COLADA IST NICHT IM ALL-INCLUSIVE INBEGRIFFEN. Das war eigentlich meine größte Enttäuschung. Ja es gibt andere inkludierte Cocktails wie Sex on the beach, Cuba Libre, Whiskey Sour, etc... aber für nen 0815 Cocktail im 200ml Becher 7 Euro zu bezahlen obwohl man All-Inklusive gebucht hat ist schon sehr, sehr enttäuschend. Ich bin ja nicht zum Saufen da und buche All-Inklusive aus Bequemlichkeit, sind da ein inkludierter PinaColada wirklich so ein finanzieller Schaden für das beste 4* Hotel der Gegend? Bei den Zimmerpreisen?

Not a 4-star hotel by any means. We needed to find a place for two nights passing thru and thought this would be a good option. We have stayed in 2-star places better than this.

Non ho dato il massimo dei voti al personale( che è eccelso) solo a causa di una maleducatissima animatrice che ci ha offeso in inglese pensando non capissi la lingua.
Per il.resto, la struttura è splendida, molto curata e tranquilla.
Noi avevamo una stanza non rinnovata, quindi sapevamo che non sarebbe stata il top.
Era comunque accogliente e fornita di tutto( tranne il bidet!).
Per quanto riguarda la stanza, bisognerebbe solo curare un pochino di più la pulizia
Per il resto, è un posto consigliatissimo!

Staff was great, they really made an effort to make your stay feels 5 star. I wish there was a snack
bar as we came off our flight and arrived at 14:00 and had to wait till 19:00 to eat. The dinner window of 2 hours was not enough time

Overall excellent experience except the food which is surprising given the location.

Great resort and great staff. Resort needs a little TLC, otherwise very accommodating.

Ottima posizione a dieci minuti dal centro, ottimo per muoversi anche a piedi, bella la struttura.
Cibo buono, molto preparato il personale di sala, in particolare Giuseppe.

Menu pranzo e cena variegato abbondante e di qualita

La struttura è molto bella e curata si mangia benissimo unico neo è l'animazione praticamente inesistente tranne che per il miniclub

Bellissima location a picco sul mare, collegato tramite un servizio di ascensori

Cibo buono e sempre vario
