Kristalli Hotel Apartments

Lovely apartments and very well maintained. Food and drink are well priced and the quality and portion sizes are good. Location is about a ten minute walk from Malia strip and just a few minutes from the beautiful bars and restaurants of Old Town Malia. Close enough to get to everything but far enough to still have a good night's sleep. Our only complaint re the hotel is that the pool is super cold, so getting in it at this time of year was - breathtaking! Might be worth considering somw heating for it!

This is our second time at the kristalli hotel and for a three star hotel you get five star treatment, very family orientated from old to young and every member of staff are so friendly. The owners and staff do their best to give you a holiday to remember so no wonder so many return year after year. You even get a bottle of wine in your room on arrival. A lovely family retreat. On arrival, we were greeted personaly by the family who own it. They asked how our flight had been and showed us quickly to our room. The accommodation was very comfortable and modern and for a charge included air conditioning, (a must in the heat at this time of the year.) A nice touch was we were also given a complementary bottle of wine in our room.
The whole complex although small, was managed immaculately and pool and bar areas had plenty of beds and shade to relax. Thers was also a pool table for guests to use. The bar staff were lovely and would always help and advise when and if needed about tourists advice. The food menu was very nice, I reccomend the Kristalli Burger for those hungry people,.
These apartments are in the old town of Malia and much quieter than the main strip, but if you wanted, it was about a 20 minute walk to the centre.
There were lots of very pretty and nice restaurants around the apartments.
All in all, I loved my two week stay here and will definitely return.

I've just got back from a fantastic holiday at the Kristalli hotel. I went with my two daughters aged 14 and 17. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were greeted by the lovely Demitri, who showed us to our room and sorted out our air conditioning which I had arranged in advance. The room was amazing, clean, spacious and with two balconies. The beds were so comfortable so every night we had a brilliant sleep.
The pool area is beautiful, the sunbeds are on a grassed area and spaced out so you don't feel on top of anyone. There are plenty of sunbeds so no need to rush down in the morning, this was a huge bonus. The pool was clean and inviting. We ate at the pool bar everyday and the food is delicious and very reasonably priced.
The hotel close to the old town which has lots of beautiful restaurants then a slightly further walk to the strip. Perfect for myself and daughters.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are just wonderful, they make you feel welcome, are polite and are great fun.
Thank you to them all for a perfect stay. We are going to book up and come back next year!

So hard to put into words just how amazing this holiday and accommodation was. Our first holiday to Crete and certainly won’t be our last. Will definitely be staying at Kristalli again, wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
Firstly the staff are amazing! Welcoming, kind, friendly. You couldn’t ask for more. Nothing is a bother to them. I love the family run ethos, and the smaller setting. We were made to feel welcome and right at home. They take such a genuine and kind interest in the kids and interact with warmth. I 100% understand why so many of the families present during our stay had already stayed previous years at Kristalli.
The air con is an added extra- but 100% worth it. The Aircon was lovely and cool and kicked in straight away as soon as we entered our rooms and had our windows and doors shut. Far better to pay the little extra and have good air conditioning rather than having it included in the price as many other accommodations day and it doesn’t work or isn’t very cool.
The rooms were clean, spacious and maids cleaned every day and clean towels.
A big perk is not having to race to reserve sun loungers, no matter what time of the day you come down there is always sun loungers available and plenty of space in the pool. It never felt over crowded. Just perfect. They even provide little pillows to borrow for under your towel at the pool.
The pool bar is great, amazing cocktails and delicious food. So reasonably priced also. Staff even bring drinks and food right to your lounger! Amazing service!
We got goodbyes, Hugs and handshakes before we left, making us feel again really welcome.
The location was perfect for us! Up the hill slightly from the old town- 5 minute walk into the old town for restaurants and 10 min walk to the strip, about 15 minutes to the closest beach. It was lovely and quiet. We had a perfect nights sleep each night of our 14 night stay. The old town is just stunning!!! Absolutely beautiful little streets and restaurants. We loved avli, zorbas, San Giorgio and nostimo. No need to go near the strip if you don’t want to.
The strip wasn’t vulgar or messy when we did visit for the shops or to the beach but this was during the day and before 11pm at night so not sure if it’s different when it’s later.
If you’re reading this, honestly, book Kristalli you will not regret it. We have children ranging from 16 to 2 years old and ticked all the boxes but we also seen older couples and young couples with no kids also. It really does suit all.

We had a lovely stay at this charming, family-run apartment complex. The rooms were spotless, cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided every other day. The pool area was clean and refreshing—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

The on-site food was freshly cooked and delicious, adding a homely touch to the
experience. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

The location is ideal, right within the old town and just a short walk to numerous authentic Greek restaurants. It truly offered a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and local charm. We would definitely go back!

I love smaller family run businesses and this was almost that. Not small by any means but not too large either. Place was just right.
Accommodation was clean and tidy with all your needs covered. (Fridge, small freezer compartment and a kettle)
Cleaning was done every day and to a good standard. (Cleaners were all lovely and very friendly!)
Staff/family who own and run the place are just amazing. So friendly and helpful, and even the younger ones, too! You can see that their business is on the utmost importance to them.
Food and drinks available on the premises was lovely!
The pool was lovely, although at times perhaps quite full especially with abandoned floaties which took up a lot of space. Only thing we were sad about was the pool closing at 8pm as we would have liked to have had a dip later in the evening but it’s not the end of the world especially when everything else was so good!
Within walking distance of shops and nightlife etc.

An amazing perfectly up to date, immaculately clean, family ran business who are really hard working friendly kind people. Always happy to help, always with a smile and nothing too much to ask.

Apartments are perfectly clean, modern and everything you can need. Supermarket 20 seconds walk away. Food at kristalli is second to none so we didn’t cook in apartments as they did everything we needed for a great price. Whether breakfast, dinner or tea all great choices and made very tasty!

We arrived midnight plus and had water etc in fridge for us plus bottle of their own red wine 😍

The staff are abs spot on!! So happy, kind, helpful and full of life - even the day staff in the heat they work in - can’t do enough. ❤️

Nicos - you are the best host …. and your side kick- hope you get your dream bmw bike soon - you’re a total asset to any company from what we have seen - at such a young ages you’re always smiling happy and very confident in making people welcome. Stayed here with my Christine for a 2 week holiday on July 14th, quickly booked in and shown to our room which was a nice touch on arrival. Milk, water in the fridge and a bottle of red wine . Room was spotlessly clean, beds nice and comfy. We had a problem with our Air Con which the staff were all over it, eventually getting engineers in to fit a brand new system which was above the call of duty and much appreciated. All bar food and drinks reasonably priced , freshly cooked food and well presented. All staff excellent, speaking good English and a big hello to Yannis who was excellent. Highly recommend.

This is the most perfect place to stay.
This was our third visit and it never disappoints.
Rooms, food and staff are excellent!
Their baked feta is a must try!
A 5 minute walk from the beautiful old town which is film set pretty.

Absolutely wonderful family run holiday destination. So welcoming and accommodating, staff are very attentive and funny and make your stay very enjoyable . Rooms spotlessly clean and maintained. Will definitely return. Highly recommend

Me and my friends recently stayed at the kristalli apartments and did not have a great experience. During our stay we found loads of ants all in the double bed which me and my friend were staying and later realised that there were loads all in our room. They seemed to be coming from behind the head board of the bed and were all around the air con unit, as well as going onto our makeup desk where all of our belongings were. When we raised concern about it to the owners, we politely asked to do it somewhere privately instead of by the pool, which was where we first started talking, so we wouldn’t make a scene or have others overhear (which i now wish we did shout it so everyone else heard). After explaining what had happened, the lady who must have been the owner was extremely rude and made it seem like it was our fault and how we should have told them earlier because now there was ‘nothing they could do about it’ at that time of the day as all the maids had finished cleaning. We then asked to change rooms as there was no way we would sleep in the bed that night but they said they were fully booked and if we had come earlier in the day (even though it was about 2pm) they would have been able to move us. After constant rudeness from this woman, despite us being polite and asking for them to sort the issue, the man who also seemed like an owner said he would come to our room and spray the ants as a temporary resolution. We had no choice but to accept this as they were adamant there was no other option, however I’m sure if we were not a young group of girls, they would have sorted this problem. When the man did come up and spray the ants, there wasn’t even anything in the bottle and only went to get a new one after 5-10 minutes of pretending stuff was coming out and after my friend pointed out the bottle was empty. He also gave us sheets to change the bedding but said that we would have to do it ourselves and he didn’t even help us. I ended up sleeping on a pool lilo for 2 nights because the issue wasn’t sorted and I didn’t want to sleep in a bed with loads of ants. We also would get woken up early by the maids knocking on the door every morning and forcing us to get out even when we said no. And having to pay 105 euros for a 6 night stay for aircon as well as a 14euro tourist tax and also having to pay 20 euros for the safe. It’s such a shame this happened to us because the rest of the staff were lovely and a lot of other factors about the hotel was nice, however the fact the staff were not even surprised when we brought up the bugs and were just extremely rude about it instead of being kind and sorting the problem really ruined the trip for me and my friends.

Had the best week of my life in this hotel! Was blown away by how nice the room was (photos don't do it justice). The nightime security was kind to us each night as long as we were quiet. Safe to say we werent expecting to get flashed by his torch on the first night. Great food options offered at the bar and we were treated nicely by the staff who work so hard at everything. Never met room service so dedicated to their job they couldn't take no for an answer!! Walking distance from the strip as long as you can put up with a few cats. Pool closes at 8 so no late night swimming but still lovely during the day. We went in June and found it was mostly youths and elderly as school holidays hadn't started yet. Definitely a good spot if you like a party!!

Wow! This hotel is just breathtaking, so much better than the pictures! The staff(specifically the two woman) are incredible, they do EVERYTHING and i mean everything! e.g Bartender, Receptionist, Maid, Child Minder, Chef, Cleaner and many more! Those ladies were so kind and we really enjoyed our time there! Also Demetrius the night guard was such a lovely man, made us all feel so safe and we loved using his torch. Had the best week of my life and it was all down to this hotel! I would 100% recommend you just stay here atleast once in your lifetime or else you’re missing out. Very close to the strip too as we are 18 so that’s obviously what we went for! The air conditioning is amazing, we were stressed it wouldn’t work but it was the perfect temperature at all times. The maids were so lovely and respectful when cleaning our rooms. For our first solo holiday as 18yr olds we felt so safe and welcomed into the loving arms of Kristalli Staff!

What another amazing holiday. Nico and all his family are great. All the staff work really hard. Nico is a brilliant funny guy. The grounds and pool area are immaculate. So relaxing. Back again there next year. Can’t wait. Only five minutes to the old town with great restaurants and then another couple of minutes to the main area. The Kristalli Gyros was amazing.

We have just left this fantastic hotel as a family of 2 adults and 2 children.
The hotel was in a great location and the staff were so helpful clearly a nice family run business.
The rooms were spotless and cleaned everyday. Good value for money for a family holiday.

Amazing stay here for the May half term would definitely recommend close to everything perfect for the kids. Bars & restaurants all close by weather was a little hit & miss but that can’t be helped in
May. Family run hotel food & drinks on the complex are great & it’s all reasonably priced.

As we booked this hotel as a late deal we didn’t like to complain. As we are an older couple we didn’t expect to climb 30+ stairs to our room which was on the other side of the road to the main building. There is no lift. The balcony was ok till we found the next rooms bathroom window at the side of our balcony and as it was open we could hear everything.
The toilet seat lid kept falling down. The sink tap was loose.
As for good point.It was clean.
We didn’t see any staff as we went to reception 3 times but no one was there.
Quite a walk to beach or to a bus stop if you are not able to walk far.
