Unique hotel - self check in was convenient including access to the underground parking. You check in using an app, when your room is ready, the app sends you your room number. You scan the room number (via the app) to get into the underground parking and into the hotel itself, then your room. There is a free area to wash your car if you want. Quality hair/soap/cream products provided. Coffee (Nespresso machine with pods)/tea/hot chocolate in room to start your day - also mini fridge. Loved the white noise machine provided although our room was very quiet (Room 222) as we faced the back of the building. The bed was comfortable. Decor and bedding were nice also - cabin feel. Black out blinds in room - great for sleeping. Clean and bright hotel. There is laundry facilities available. Robes provided in closet. Once ready to check out, again you do that through the app and they hotel sends you a detailed receipt via email. There is a buffet breakfast at their sister hotel, which is directly across the road. We did not go there but it was nice to know we had an option. Had to leave early - Tim Hortons does not open until 6 am which is 2 blocks away. The Peaks is central to downtown Banff so you can walk to many shops and restaurants when you are there.
Only thing we did not like is that the room did not have air circulating. There was no fan only hot or cold. As a result it felt stuffy when you slept. We did ask the front desk for a portable fan to assist in moving the air in the room. They were quick to provide us with one. Being such a modern hotel, it would have been nice to have the air circulate. Unfortunately that the hotel does not have its own facilities at least a bar. You have to go across the road to the sister hotel for a bar, pool, etc. When it is cold out it is not convenient. Underground parking is great; however, a little tight for larger trucks. The shower is a little complex also. Not sure why they choice such a set up. Would have been better to have a simple shower head/hand head set up rather than these sprayers, which are useless and too many taps. Things for the hotel to consider is perhaps including a free breakfast with the stay (since no facilities at this hotel - nice perk to make up for it). Also reduce the amount of communication (texts, emails, etc) before the trip - it was a little too much.
Great location right next to the all the main street restaurants and pubs.
Hotel was very clean, beds were super comfy and rooms were nice and quiet with dark block-out curtains. Free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby (also coffee pods in your room) Nice soaps and handwash liquids.
Garage had an area to wash your car which is also an added bonus during winter where a quick hose off is needed sometimes.
Would stay here again!
The shower was a bit space-aged with all sorts of taps and squirters, almost need a license to operate it. It scared my 11yo son, he didn't know what to do with it.
It was fine once you figured out which taps to use.
Clean, comfortable and friendly
Nothing
The Peaks was very centrally located to downtown Banff. The staff were helpful and friendly,
We were upgraded (extra discounted cost) to a bigger room with loft bedroom. This was perfect for out 13 day stay
Using the pool and fitness centre at the Banff Lodge across the road wasn't very convenient especially when it was really cold. Would be better if Peaks had own facilities
Very friendly staff and nice hotel.
Pool available across the street.
Location was great, hotel had a nice alpine vibe, rooms & beds were comfy.
No bar
Well presented and convenient. Spacious room and comfortable beds
The room was very comfortable, clean and warm.
Nothing not to like
Very comfortable, lovely calm vibe to the hotel, staff were great and location amazing.
There was a bit too much communication before the trip which we fed back.
Cet hôtel est exceptionnellement bien placé pour apprécier Banff. Très très propre et agréable à tous les niveaux.
Il n'y a rien qui n'allait pas.
The property was well maintained and was nearby downtown. Easy access to shell nearby to buy snacks and necessities. The room was perfect.
We never had breakfast
I was charge Over $3000 twice for a room on the 3rd of Jan and being the 14th I still have not received the funds back which when travelling is disappointing…
