Darna Village Beach Hotel

We had such beautiful time at Darna! From very welcoming staff, beachy holiday vibes to the diving and snorkelling equipment and views on the Red Sea.. wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Clean sheets, comfortable bed, basic room with lots of cracks in the walls, leaking taps and sink but nice hot shower.

Accueil très moyen. pendant le check-in pas d'information sur les horaires de petit dejeuner, pas d'information sur les plongées, rien du tout.
Chambre pas verifiée par le personnel, la douche ne fonctionne pas, le frigo est très sale. Pas de nettoyage de la chambre, pas de possibilité de mettre le papier toilette dans les toilettes. Le papier doit aller dans une poubelle qui n'est pas vidée...
La piscine est pleine de crasse noire, les employés dorment sur les transats et laissent les couvertures sur les terrasses
La terasse pour les transats est completement défoncées.. Des chats ont accès à la cuisine...
Beaucoup d'employés sont assis toutes la journée à ne quasiment rien faire alors que l'hotel mérite un bon nettoyage.
Cest dommage, la vue de la piscine donnant sur la mer est magnifique...

The hotel is in a great location, across the road from the beach/sea which has a good reef. The food is very nice but not cheap - the prices are the same as those in upmarket restaurants in Aqaba. Our room had air con, a good fridge and comfortable bed.It also had cockroaches. on the first night, we killed one and didn't think much about it. The second night, we were completely

Our stay at Darna was better than we expected. It's a great location.. just across the street from the Red Sea. We had big rooms, fridges worked great, beds comfortable, lots of hot water. The pool was wonderful. Lots of chairs and tables to lounge around the pool. Good diving equipment. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast could be better, thats probably the only thing I could say that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise Darna wa great. I would stay there again for sure.

Struttura con un grande potenziale ma c'è da fare ancora tanta manutenzione, noi abbiamo trovato la piscina inagibile e la tv fuori uso. Sono sprovvisti di navetta per l'aeroporto. Le stanze sono pulite e ampie, munitevi di bagnoschiuma e shampoo, mettono a disposizione una saponetta. Nella stanza manca il phon. Non vengono fatte le pulizie giornaliere con relativo cambio della biancheria. La posizione è ottima, è situata davanti al mare e a 1 km dalla spiaggia di Berenice. Il cibo sopra la media, veramente molto buono. Lo staff simpatico. :)

Behulpzaam personeel. Goed zwembad en tegrnover het strand. Kamer is redelijk en de bedden waren prima. Er werd tijdens ons verblijf niets schoongemaakt. Afvalemmers alleen geleegd nadat het gevraagd is. Toiletpapier moet om gevraagd worden als de rol leeg is. De menukaart is redelijk.
Een mooie plek als je van duiken of snorkelen houdt.

This place isn't bad, but it's just really nothing to write home about. The main thing it has going for it is its location, right across from South Beach and some really good snorkeling spots. For 5jd you can rent a snorkel and fins, which was great. The hotel itself was ok, but not great. The accommodations were clean, but fairly sparse. The Wifi only works in common areas, and it's really weak. The included breakfast was ok and filling. They dramatically overcharge you for things like water, or beverages, which they can do because there's really no store anywhere near the hotel. Although the small stand on the beach across the street sells water for half the price of the hotel, which is a good indicator of how much the hotel raises the price. The food off the menu in the restaurant when I had it wasn't very good, and it too was overpriced. In fact, they raised the price of the menu items in the middle of the 4 nights I was there, which made it worse. When I tried to ask some questions of the folks who worked there, it often felt like I was bothering them. They didn't particularly seem to want to talk to me. It's not a bad place, it's just exactly what you'd expect for the amount of money you're going to pay. If you want a cheap place to go snorkeling, it's great for that. If you wan't much more than that, it's not the place for you. In the end I was happy with it, but my expectations were low and the hotel met those expectations.

Akabe sınırları içerisinde kalınabilecek ucuz ve konforlu ancak en önemlisi tertemiz bir tesis. Dalış ve şnorkel noktalarına oldukça yakın. Çocuklu aileler ve sırt çantalı gezginler tarafından da rahatlıkla konaklanabilecek bir tesis.

Ho soggiornato con mia moglie in questa struttura e ci siamo trovati molto bene. E' situata in prima fila immediatamente davanti al mare, con una bella spiaggia dalla quale si può fare il migliore snorkeling della zona. Il personale è amichevole e disponibile e la struttura è in buone condizioni, dotata anche di una piscina, anche se non bisogna aspettarsi un 5 stelle. Le pulizie non vengono effettuate, ma la stanza al momento del check in è molto pulita e dotata di tutti i confort. Manca solo l'asciugacapelli. C'è anche il ristorante, dove a prezzi modici si mangia del buon pesce fresco.

Great location, terrace overlooking red sea. Room dated but everything worked, remodel in progress. Staff very helpful, meals were good. We only stayed one night were able to check in early, would reccomend

Personal sehr freundlich, coole Terrasse, Gelegenheit zum Schnorcheln gleich gegenüber. Etwas abseits von Aqaba, dafür in der Nähe von Tala Bay, was ein Besuch wert ist!

Checkin war wegen noch nicht sauberen Zimmern auch abends verspätet

4 days already passed that we arrived back home and we are still in our vacation mood. Were were couple came for scuba dive. I'm dive master my girlfriend also very experience diver and we both had hundreds dives in Sinai and other countries. Never in Jordan yet before this vacation.

We chose this village based on reviews, the location (from the beach) and since it's our first dive experience in Jordan we didn't care a lot about the rest. We needed a bed, a shower and a dive center.

At the end we got much more than we expected.

Across the street from the beach. The village have in-house dive center with all the equipment you can ask for, at fair prices.

The staff was super helpful, friendly and talkative, so you feel part of the family after couple of hours in the place.

Madi, his brother Abed and our super friendly dive guide Ricardo has perfect English.

The restaurant is very good with fresh food and excellent breakfast.

The room was very comfortable, clean, smells good and with AC. The dives was EXCELLENT and the vacation unforgotten.

Nice rooms and near the beach, pool was dirty and area small. Staff busy and slightly blunt.

If you don't want to stay in downtown Aqaba but don't want to pay too much this is the perfect choice. Great view of the ocean beach from the pool decck. The staff and owners are great, were very helpful with taxi advice and helped me figure out my Visa for Egypt. Food was amazing! Wifi could be stronger as it becomes basically useless when people wake up and start using it at breakfast.

Unfortunetly our experience was not good. Since the very first moment, the staff was really unfriendly. Also, when we wanted to pay with credit card, they said that the system was broken 2 days ago, but we had friends that stayed a week before and the hotel said the same thing, so what they really want is to avoid to pay the commission. The location is not worth it, unless you have a car, or you have to take a taxi, because if you want to do snorkelling, all the boats depart from Aqaba city. Also, they wanted to charge us 40JOD for the snorkelling in a boat for 3 hours, but in the city you can find cheaper options (e.g one tour 6 hours/30JOD).The room was ok and clean. The breakfast really simple and they don't replace the things gone. The chlorine in the pool water made our eyes sting and it was full of sand. So, if you finally choose this hotel, bring cash, or better, just save your money and don't go.
