This was such a pretty hotel in a great spot close enough to Georgioupoli to go into town quickly (5 min away) but still far enough away that it felt quiet and peaceful, like a little escape. It was really quiet at night, which made sleeping here really nice.
Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. We did have a small issue with the AC leaking (stuff happens) but the owner sorted it out quickly, which we really appreciated.
Overall, a great place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere relaxing and a bit removed, but still located nicely between Chania and Rethymno. Would definitely recommend! (pictures taken from our balcony)

Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Badezimmer in gutem, renoviertem Zustand.
Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn vor den Terrassentüren Insektengitter gewesen wären. Dann hätten uns die Mücken eventuell in Ruhe gelassen. Das Zimmer hatte eine große Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick. Fußläufig erreichbar ist eine schöne Taverne

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The balcony had fantastic views and we loved sitting out there with a glass of wine. Everywhere around the property was very well maintained, the seiipool was very clean and the owners friendly and helpful.

Très bon séjour. Etablissement bien placé avec une belle vue sur mer et montagne. Belle configuration. Le personnel au top. Grande gentillesse, serviabilité, très bon accueil.
Douche étroite et peu commode à l'usage. Piscine sympa avec toujours une belle vue. Des prix très contenus pour les petits déjeuners, boisons et autres en-cas...Wifi plutôt bon quand pas trop de monde l'utilisant.

I booked this property 6 months in advance after seeing the pictures and reading the reviews. My wife and I couldn't believe it when we arrived from Heraklion and drove thru the seaside town of Georgioplous and then up the hillside to Alkion Apartments. It was amazing! We were greeted with a warm welcome and fresh hand squeezed OJ a frappe and homemade cakes. This is a family owned and operated property and they are the most friendly, kind and helpful people you will meet. EVERYTHING IS VERY CLEAN. The home cooked breakfast is delicious and you will not beat their prices. I think all the reviews I read can summerize that this is a great place to stay while on Crete.

Breathtaking views perched on the hills overlooking the sea and the white mountains. Run by a wonderful and helpful local family. I loved this property even with the tiny shower and slow internet (Whole area is slow). This is the best place for this area, close to a beautiful town Georgioupoli and to over 6-10 miles of beach. It has a nice pool but the balconies are the steal.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful,clean and gorgeous landscaping the hotel is family run and everyone is very friendly and welcoming and very affordable rates hoping to return next year.

Pool was lovely. Dimitris was very helpful. Breakfast was good . Area great for exploring

I was so happy with my stay! The room was clean and the service outstanding. It's a family-run hotel and that really shows in everything, from the outstanding homemade cakes to the friendly atmosphere. It kills me that I didn't have any cash left to adequately tip them all. It was quiet, friendly, clean and in a beautiful spot for those of us who would rather not be stuck in the tourist chaos.

Super accueil de Dimitri et sa famille. Superbe piscine, belle vue sur la ville et la montagne. Terasse plein soleil toute la journée. Seul bémol salle de bain petite et vieillissante.

Everything was super: mountains view, clean water pool, perfect staff... I recomend this place for everyone!
