Mooie gelegen uitvalsbasis voor een prachtige bergwandeling bij Abtenau.
Pros:

Prima ontbijt.
Persoonlijke benadering (o.a. een gereserveerde ontbijttafel met naamkaartje).

Cons:

Jammer dat de Karkogelbahn (lift) niet in bedrijf was (onlangs failliet en nog geen doorstart), maar dat lag natuurlijk niet aan het hotel. Uiteindelijk met een kort autoritje omhoog een parkeerplaats kunnen bereiken voor een prachtige wandeling aan de voet van de Kleine en Grosse Traunstein.

Cons:

Stanza un po' calda anche per via dei piumoni.
La colazione non è male, marmellate molto buone ma il dolce scarseggia rispetto al salato, probabilmente la clientela è più locale quindi il salato è più richiesto.
I proprietari sono davvero molto gentili, ma abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà ad avere informazioni corrette sui trasporti pubblici ( fuori c'è una fermata del bus ma per il servizio di ritorno non è assolutamente servita, bisogna spostarsi in auto ad un'altra fermata più giù e da lì prendere il treno S3), questo va considerato e bisogna chiedere ai gestori il depliant orari, altrimenti si rischia di restare a piedi in giro e non è il massimo di sera date le strade poco illuminate. Quindi o si usa auto oppure bisogna informarsi bene prima sugli orari e le fermate giuste (la signora mi aveva fornito orario dei treni pensando fossero i bus, il marito poi mi ha dato orario bus corretto). Il bus giusto è 470 da prendere alla fermata di Golling-Abtenau che ha più orari di ritorno e più parcheggi, mentre il treno si chiama Sbahn-S3. L'hotel ha gli orari di entrambi e può fornire la guest card gratuita per utilizzare i trasporti pubblici (molto comoda), che da anche diritto a sconti in alcuni musei (ad esempio il bellissimo Museo open-air Freilichtmuseum, un gioiellino!!)

We had a lovely one-night stay at this beautiful family-run hotel in the Salzburg region. The location among the mountains is great, the hotel is very nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
