Pretty good stay with nice spacious rooms. There is a selection of egg, beans and breads for breakfast however evening meals where slightly disappointing. Nice spacious hallways and bathrooms good for large groups room keys included with each room overall a pleasant stay.
I’ve never been so utterly disgusted with MANY THINGS! For example the staff were incredibly rude! Also, the food was DISAPPOINTING AND INEDIBLE! The chicken had a hair.
The rooms, they do not change your sheet, and may not take dirty cups. 🤮
The floor in my room has a terrible smell, everytime i re-enter my room I am overwhelmed by the stench. The food was not up to standard: hair in food, chicken raw!!! I left my room unlocked with the key inside, workers came in, didn't clean (even though we put up the sign) and locked our key in our room!! Shower had no space and bath was shaped peculiarly so washing was incredibly difficult, bathrooms flooded by the shower. Fire alarm drill at 4.56AM. Does not look like the photos. However, beds were comfortable and hot tubs were nice.
Busy with short stay tourist parties
Meals are in house ( it is out of town) and timed to accommodate the numbers of diners
Dinner on each of the two nights was fresh, varied and excellent with veggie options
Miserable receptionist on arrival but they were very busy and all the rest were fine
Buffet breakfast, the usual international stuff with bonus points for Peanut Butter and excellent home made bread.
Comfy spacious rooms and good disabled access
Like all Icelandic hotels, notices everywhere inform us
REMOVING FOOD FROM THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IS A CRIME
COOKING IN BEDROOMS ATTRACTS A HUGE FINE
We stayed on our last night in Iceland. The rooms are albeit old fashioned, for a 1 night stay, it's decent. There's a restaurant and the breakfast was nice. This is very close to all the great falls around that area and you can see northern lights right above the hotel. We saw northern lights in Vik and here on the second day. It was beautiful and they also have places you can scan and go to watch the Aurora. 2 hours from the international airport.
Amazing.
Room had dirty carpet and torn sheets
Clean room, easy check-in and parking. Close of Kronan, gas stations and other food places. Tasty breakfast.
Great property good breakfast pleasant staff
Me & my family visited the restaurant over easter weekend. Relaxed atmosphere & excellent service (Marcin & Salem). We had an amazing three course meal, shrimp, lamb & lava cake.
Delicious flavors with fresh Icelandic ingredients 🤌🏻 Highly recommend!
Located just off the main coastal route is convenient but located in basically an industrial area - not scenic. Rooms are clean and functional but although we did not have a major problem ourselves it was obvious that room sound proofing is not the best. I would recommend asking for a first floor room as we had a small herd of elephants above us - luckily they went to bed quickly :)
Dining room was nothing like it looked on the website - fine for breakfast but not an evening meal. We never ate in the evening so can not comment on the food standard. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate.
Hot tubs were present in a central courtyard but not inviting which was a pity.
If looking for a basic pit stop this hotel would suffice.
Nice location in a town with a nice grocery store and close to Hella where we visited the Caves of Hella.
Very confortable room / beds / pillows. Water kettle and hardryer available in the room, which is no local standard. TV. Well heated. Clean. Well illuminated bathroom. Coffee and tea available in the hall. Inhouse restaurant, 2 hot pots, bar. Supermarket nearby. Unfortunately, the shower system does not work: if you are lucky, you only need to wait for ages until hot water is available. If you are not lucky, you will have to wait for your next hotel to have a shower. This was not only my experience here. For this reason, I drastically reduced my rating: had it been possible to have a shower here, this hotel would have been rated 3 points.
This is a nice hotel just off the Ring Road. Very comfortable room, and it had everything we needed. The hot tub was nice to relax in. The breakfast buffet was expansive, and they offer a pack your own lunch option for guests if they'd like to pack a lunch.
We enjoyed our stay.
Enjoyed it!
Stayed here on 1st night of 8 day tour. My room was a bit tired looking, but spacious, clean and comfortable. However I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent, friendly yet polished and professional service and sensational food.
Nice hotel and good location to stop for the night. Breakfast was ok. Room was decent.
False advertising. Overpriced dated motel in awful location by the road.
Everything was excellent!
