Quirky boutique hotel but with a few issues.
Pros:

Quirky boutique hotel with a few issues.
The good things were the hotel location, the quirky design and the staff were generally friendly and helpful.
The main issue was that there was no hot water for 2 of the 3 nights we were there.
Also, the sound insulation is poor so voices and footsteps travel easily from room to room.
Furthermore, our room had a strange arrangement whereby people in the room above could look down into our bathroom! Very weird.
Finally, we had booked a junior suite with pool view but it didn't feel like a suite and did not have a pool view - although the people in the room above had a bathroom view!
If this was a budget hotel these issues would be acceptable but, at the price they charge, they are not acceptable.

Tout, la location dans Carthagene, le personnel gentil, attentif. L’hotel est tres beau, le petit déjeuner est tres copieux et varié. La literie de tres bonne qualité.

Gorgeous hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. Rooms just beautiful and so comfortable. Fabulous breakfast. Cooks and serving staff very friendly and helpful.

It was a nice place... just room 106 was very disappointing accommodations.
Pros:

The problem with the room 106 was the sunken tub/shower was able to be viewed by the above neighbors two windows that were right above the tub area. We could also hear quite clearly the upstairs conversations and foot traffic.... they are NOT quiet rooms as advertised... the conversations in the foyer right outside the door where a swing was located was quite noisy as well... even at night when people were returning from a night out in the town.

Cons:

The only thing that didn't meet our expectations is mentioned above. We expected to use our deep tub in privacy and not being viewed by our upstairs neighbors direct viewing. In addition, it appeared that the tub had not been scoured in a while... needed a cleaning... we probably wouldn't had taken a bath in the tub anyway due to the scum in the corners of the tub...see picture

Pros:

We have stayed here many times over the years even back when Tattoo the keel billed tucan was in residence and hoppng up on the breakfast table to share my toast. The staff remembered us even after many years passed and the hotel still has that nice family feel. From the made to order breakfast toa splash in the roof top pool the place is filled with great memories fr us.

Hotel precioso en el centro histórico de Cartagena. Camas cómodas y staff fantástico desde Giovanny a la recepción a l@s chic@s del desayuno. Detalles maravillosos con el cliente, nos sentimos muy mimados. Mil gracias!

Hay bastante mosquitos y la chica del spa arriba fue un poco borde cuando pedimos toallas para la piscina, que al final fuimos nosotros a buscar abajo.
