Very good but not perfect
Pros:

Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms, breakfast excellent as were the staff serving at breakfast. Pools were gorgeous but this was let down by towels not cleared and food left on tables. My only gripe, hence the 4 stars not 5.

We love the Divani and as long as their pricing doesn’t continue to rise, we will stay again
Pros:

We love coming back to the Divani whenever we visit Greece. They are located right next to our favourite restaurant and days unwinding by the pool at the beginning and end of our vacation are always perfect.

Housekeeping is always so quick and they don’t miss the details in your room. There was also an great team at check in, both at the door and on the desk + lots of staff checking on you at breakfast.

Cons:

Before this year, our last stay was in 2025. Since then they have upgraded the pool area with new floor tiling, umbrellas and chairs, plus the breakfast area was completely redone. As a consequence it was more expensive than ever to stay here however, the jump in price isn’t warranted when the room is exactly the same.

As a side note, the staff by the pool were only attentive with persuasion. Additionally we had to seek out towels rather than staff greet us, the fountain in the saltwater pool was not working (it hasn’t worked since our first stay in 2021), and the lifeguard didn’t allow balls with our son but the next day a large group of adults played with a ball across the pool for 2 hours. Customer service and consistency is important and this now increased price point.

Improvements Are Welcome
Pros:

After several decades of frequenting the Divani Apollon - and often being critical of it - have to concede that they have made many needed improvements. The front desk staff are much more pleasant and the renovations in the breakfast area are nicely done. The new underground gym is wonderful and the pool and beach areas are lovely. The service staff were always good - and they remain so.
Presumably the improvements are borne of the intensifying competition in the area, but nevertheless they are welcome. The one last area to perhaps work on is the patio restaurant’s quality of food - it could be improved. Otherwise, well done.
