Great facility with dining options

Hotel is old but probably the best closest option to the area I was visiting.

The staff was super friendly and willing to bend over backwards to make my stay pleasant

I had the room with the worst view of recycling house and all the hydropower running. The room had a leaked bathtub. Foods at the restaurants are expensive but not that good.

I really am struggling to think of any negatives about my stay so I guess that speaks volumes. The staff can’t do enough for you (without being too overbearing), rooms are of a good quality and the range + standard of food on offer is some of the best I’ve experienced.

Good hotel in Electronics City. Dining obsessions are fantastic and all the food is of very high quality. Grounds are spacious and very nice. Staff are very polite and helpful. Room was spacious with good amenities.

Great hotel and restaurants with superb swimming pool. Service was courteuos, helpful and efficient. I look forward to staying there again

Pros - spacious rooms, location in electronics city for client meets nearby, travel desk helpful

Cons - dated, badly maintained, front desk incompetent, breakfast quality bad (salads cold cuts re-used), staff not trained probably new. Apparently used to be Crowne Plaza, without the crown now.

Amazing hotel with a great hospitality. Room excellent and very clean. A lot of options for food and drinks and the taxi service is very accommodating. Next time for sure again this hotel.

A nice hotel with courteous and helpful staff. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom and shower room but fell short of what I would expected of a 5 star - did the basics well but no extras e.g. no robes in the room. What let the hotel down for me was the limited products available in the hotel bars with many products unavailable over our 4 day stay - I would have expected better for a 5 star hotel.

I liked the view and size of the room. I didn’t like the noise due to weddings till late night.

I've been staying in this hotel for the last 9 years whenever I had to come to Electronic City, the staff are simply amazing, food is fantastic and rooms are very clean and comfortable. The only downside is that the hotel has changed ownership over the years and unfortunately each time management decided just to use what was there before, hence the hotel really needs a makeover now as it is becoming very dated. Also if you like a quiet room, it'll be better not to be poolside, as the hotel has many functions which are based around the pool and it can be very noisy with music until late at night in the week. Nevertheless this hotel is still my number one choice when I'm in EC.

Stayed at Oterra for one night for a business meeting. The airport pick-up was great- unfortunately it was a 2.5 hour drive to the hotel due to crazy Banagalore traffic, but the driver was very nice, car was comfortable with water and snacks offered, and had wifi.
Oterra seems to be an older hotel- room was comfortable but not impressive and sort of dark overall. No French press was offered in the rooms (unlike the other 5-star hotels I stayed in India during this business trip), and minibar was extremely expensive as compared to 5-star hotels in Delhi and Pune.
Breakfast buffet had a great variety and was in a beautiful space. Italian restaurant was great- the gnocchi was some of the best I’ve ever had! (Which surprised me). But food/drink prices are very high here.
Service overall was great.
They could make some updates to the rooms to modernize them, and should reconsider restaurant and in-room dining prices.

The location of The Oterra for Electronics City is perfect. I have always been looked after by everyone at the hotel.

It’s a nice property.
But the staff actively spies on customers. Especially women travelling alone. I suggest Hilton Embassy Golf Links, or Fourpoints Sheraton Whitefield or Leela as better locations if you want privacy.
