A good looking property in a good spot for a visit to Chester. A good outlook over the racecourse.
The car park is too expensive. The breakfast could definitely be improved. The breakfast tables were not cleared quickly enough in the dining room. Also the continental breakfast table is not kept topped up. We had to chase bowls, milk etc which had run out and was not replaced.

The evening receptionist was lovely and very welcoming. Unfortunately that's where the positive's ended.
The room was extremely bog-standard, it was an extremely small room and not at all what was pictured online. Very few plug sockets, only found 2 in the whole room, 3 including the one for the TV. TV signal was extremely poor and difficult to navigate. The bathroom looked nice as you first walked in, to find that the shower had barely half a screen and water would constantly pour out and left the whole bathroom floor a huge slipping hazard. The taps for the sink were stiff at first and then to found that they turn the opposite way than they should. The breakfast was the most disorganized fiasco i have ever witnessed. We had booked and pre-paid for the continental breakfast, the coffee had ran out and constantly waited for bowls to have 1 bowl of cereal. We were unable to order anything from the menu as we had already waited 20 minutes for a bowl and coffee. As we were then on a time crunch, we just asked for 2 glasses of juice which we had to wait another 20 minutes for. As we left the hotel, there was no one on the reception desk and no clear slot for an express check out, so we left the keys. Overall i wish i never booked this hotel unfortunately and what a disgrace.

Looking when I booked it i was under the impression I was getting a full breakfast but apparently it only means continental. You have to pay extra for the full breakfast
