Excellent hotel, expensive parking charges additions!!
Pros:

Good sized room with a good bathroom and excellent shower. Bed very comfortable.

Cons:

Getting fleeced for an extra £120 just for the pleasure of parking our car. My wife is disabled and therefore needs the car to get to the hotel. Then to be told its £20 a night to park. Its way cheaper to park elsewhere in town. However that is NOT an option when you are disabled and need the vehicle! Why no concession for disabled parking? We are not asking for free parking but at least match the cheaper prices in the city.

A night in Chester.
Pros:

Clean spacious rooms, comfortable bed. Bathroom facilities including shower gel etc.

Cons:

Change to the breakfasts we have had when we stayed previously. Coffee bags in room, rather than coffee.

Beware of misleading breakfast information
Pros:

Room was a good size, clean and modern.

Cons:

Misleading information given regarding breakfast which coloured our judgment about the stay. Firstly, the ‘breakfast included’ does not include anything hot. Secondly, the continental breakfast consisted of three very cheap looking cereals, a basket of fruit and then you have to choose only one other item and one juice. I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere else and I wouldn’t go back again.

Breakfast not as we know it
Pros:

I booked 4 rooms in January to stay on a B&B Basis on /7/26 for 1 night.
I have just been told that I have a Continental Breakfast and we must pay extra per item for a Hot Breakfast.
Had I known this I would have stayed somewhere else - be careful with this money grabbing Hotel

Best Experience Ever
Pros:

My stay at the Abode in Chester was chaotic to say the least. A wedding and a funeral all within a few days. The staff were caring and supportive. They feel like lifelong friends/family. They saw I was falling apart and supported me all the way. The staff went out of their way to accommodate any issue I had. (I had many). They allowed me to laugh and to cry, they made me laugh and cry. I was a mess but, they didn't judge me, they helped me manage my journey. Never in my wildest years could I have imagined a more caring and loving staff than at the Abode Chester. Well done!!! You all have a fan for life.

More a boutique style
Pros:

It’s location, easy walking distance to the city centre

Cons:

Would have liked to have visited rooftop bar but it closed at 10.30pm, surely after perhaps attending a concert or event your hotel is the last place you go to before bed, would have been nice to end the evening having a drink within the hotel. Breakfast should have been buffet style as are many other large hotels.
