Very welcoming staff and an excellent airport location <3
Me and my girlfriend stayed at Hotel Keilir on the way yo airport on vacation.
The staff was friendly and gave us good recommendations on restaurants and atractions without being to muvh and annoying.
The hotel ot self was clean and the rooms are kosy. A lot of restaurants near by within walking distence.
The night we where there we enjoyed the nothern lights in the waterfront in front of the hotel and down town Keflavík.
The morning after we got a ride from the hotel after a nice breakfast. I would stay here and recommend Hotel Keilir.

A very nice hotel with clean and tidy rooms. I had a great stay and would highly recommend it.
The staff were very nice and accomodating. There is a great view of the ocean. Everything in Keflavik was in a walking distance and I really enjoyed walking down the main street. Would definitely recommend!
Bryndis and the folks at this hotel were beyond wonderful. Flight was canceled and they welcomed us with open arms even helping us with flights and car services. I would absolutely stay here when I’m back!

Stayed one night before an early flight and the location near the airport was ideal. The room was clean, warm, and surprisingly quiet, and check-in was quick and hassle-free. What really stood out was the staff, friendly and welcoming, with a personal touch that made us feel at home straight away. Exactly what you need for a stay in Keflavík.
Since this is the hotel people are bussed to when their flight is cancelled, I am pretty sure they don't care about reviews, but I can't remember a more unpleasant hotel experience.
We were a bus full of people who were tired, confused, and would have welcomed a friendly face and a bit of explanation of what was to come. Instead, the receptionist snarled at us as we checked in. If someone opened the door too far, it stuck and she yelled from her desk. The room was clean, but the windows didn't quite close, the heater barely worked, and the wind whipped through the cracks.
Breakfast was bread and bologna (see photo) and as others mentioned, the whole experience felt like a prison weekend. Breakfast ended PROMPTLY at 9, and we were rudely removed from the breakfast area.
A bit of kindness, a warm room, and a little more food would have made this review five stars. I think if I get stuck again at the airport I will pay for a better hotel and ask to be reimbursed by Icelandic Air--it would certainly be worth a try!

Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was aber durch den sehr freundlichen Service und dem kostenlosen Transfer zum Flughafen mehr als kompensiert wird.
