Very close to town.
Room was not serviced. Had to ask for tea bags, loo rolls.

Despite it being a very busy time of the year the housekeeping staff were outstanding and somehow managed to get our rooms, 1 and 2, ready early. After five and a half hours on the road our rooms were ready so we could freshen up in good time to attend a family service at the local crematorium. This was extremely helpful and demonstrates the kindness of staff to go 'the extra mile' in order to care for guests. Many heartfelt thanks!
The communication during the booking process and help in catering for an early check in was superb and much appreciated.

The bar closed really early on the Friday night by 10 pm but on the Saturday night it was open till 1 am for an event which was a house music event for the youngsters

The location and the room facilities.
Not being able to get to our room when we arrived back late, we had to call the emergency number and get directions (apparently we should have been told this when checking in), the lady that helped us though was amazing.
Comfy well decorated rooms and substantial breakfast. Close to the town centre, plenty of parking and free WiFi. A classical, traditional non chain hotel with modern decor.
Very minor, being picky here: as it's old building, the floor sloped in places, and in the recent heatwaves, they were still using thick duvets.

The shower didn't work, the toilet roll holder fell off the wall. It was very hot in the room. Luckily I had brought my own fan
