Breakfast was good, freshly cooked and just the right amount
Found a sweet wrapper by the bed, only a minor thing, but it was clearly visible and around 8 inches long, so not easy to miss.
Lovely building, even nicer inside. Fantastic, helpful staff. Cosy room with a big window.
Mattress firm and rigid. Supplied pillows not great. Room for improvement with soundproofing.
The Receptionists were excellent and helpful
I had what they call a "budget room". £95 for one night . I expected a basic standard. A few things unsatisfactory. Firstly on entering the room it was extremely stuffy and stale and had a diffuser that smelled toxic. I wanted the window open to ventilate the space. The room had only one roof window that I couldn't reach to open. Luke, the 6 foot 3" receptionist was able to open it by standing on my bed. I think its essential to ventilate a room for health and hygiene. Secondly when I pulled back the duvet to get into bed there was a thin bed sheet and underneath the writings and markings on the mattress was bleeding through. The sheet was see through, there was no mattress protector . This is substandard and inadequate in a hotel. Thirdly the bathroom had no form of heat. The room is in the roof. On a cold March evening it was shockingly cold. Finally when I went to breakfast there was no one to greet me. I sat down and waited. After watching the other guests it was clear you had to serve yourself with your morning drink. . I went up to the machine and stood there as there was no button that said "hot Water" on the machine- it was all about coffee. Eventually one of the guests came up to me and told me she had had the same problem and there was any unmarked black button below all the coffee options which she showed how to access hot water to make tea. I felt neglected by the breakfast staff and was glad of this guest helping me. Bless her! When I mentioned these factors to a staff member she said "You had a "budget room - no one has complained before "
£95 for one night is not cheapy cheap. I would advise spend the extra £20 pounds and get a decent room if you stay here. I did not have a good experience.
Staff were fantastic what a lovely hotel could not fault anything

Venue was gorgeous, staff were amazing, friendly informative and approachable. Room, hotel and grounds were clean and attractive. Breakfast was enjoyable, great quality pastries and cooked items, though my husband would have preferred a bigger portion.
Hotel was lovely, breakfast was good to
The hotel room on arrival was stinking of weed , we reported to staff who wasn't really bothered at the time offered to go up with air freshener but wasn't concerned about tackling the issue, we complain again and they said they had knocked the room but no reply and thought they was in another room , it was absolutely stinking
Really close to town centre, free parking.
Thought the bed was too firm and rooms not sound proof.
Very clean very central excellent breakfast

Great location, helpful staff, very comfortable bed and great breakfast
The room we had was lovely. It was so warm and comfortable. The room was clean and had all facilities we needed. The staff were lovely as was the breakfast.
Jay went above and beyond and saved the stay! First room had no operational heating. Staff were all very friendly. Very comfy bed.
Be aware the hotel does not have a restaurant operating as a general rule and the pub/hotel that they have a reciprocal agreement with is not serving food except for weekends. Again Jay saved the day when nowhere else in town was open for food. Budget rooms do not have a desk.
