Hotel Neptun – Lifeclass Hotels & Spa, Portorož

Veldig fornøyd med hotellet. Rommet var stort og rent, god seng. Flotte basseng. Du må ha orientering sansen i orden da det er en del trapper og ganger for å komme seg til bassengene, frokost og resepsjonen.

Nice place for short relaxation. Tasty breakfast, all staff very friendly. Just do not follow Google to find the way to the hotel.

Über Hotels.com Neptun (4 Sterne) gebucht und bezahlt. Bei Ankunft hat uns Neptun Hotel in Hotel Slovenija (5 Sterne) umgebucht. Noch näher an Strand.

Bien placé mais assez loin du village de Piran environ 3,5 km. Peu d’activités aux alentours mise à part se baigner et se faire bronzer. Peu d’animation le soir. L’hôtel dispose d’un bar qui n’est jamais ouvert. Toutefois il dispose d’un très beau complexe Spa. Nous avions notre chambre à côté du local des femmes de ménage alors nous avons eu un peu de bruit le matin et des chariots devant notre porte pendant tout le séjour. Le personnel est moyennement aimable.

Actually my room was changed to Grand Hotel Portoroz, and this review is about it, but all lately including Neptun are same owner

we went to dinner at Neptun restaurant as our restaurant at Apollo was closed.
Food was badly presented , overcooked and bland. our waiter was rude, she seamed to anoyed to have to serve the clients. awfull experience. we paid for a 4 star hotel not for a 2 star. we paid high and got low service.

Ottimi servizi, incluso le terme di Portoroz. Bellissima passeggiata che ti porta a Pirana….

Hotel close to public and private beach. Neptun part of a bigger hotel-compleks.
It was not clear to us how to find the reception which is in one of the other hotels.
The hotel has lots of activities (whock we did not use).
It's easy (and cheap) to use public transport for visit in Piran where there are lots of restaurants.
Conclusion: Good hotel with balcony view to the see/Marina. Close to swimming area in the see.

Nagyon jó elhelyzkedésű szálloda, ami igazából egy komplexum része. Kedves személyztet, jó wellness szolgáltatás, jó reggeli, kiváló panoráma. Egyedül a parkolás kicsit körülményes de ez mindenütt az a környéken.

Der Check - In war leider sehr umständlich.
Wir mussten über 30 Minuten warten, bis uns jemand den Parkplatz geöffnet hat.
Es wurden auch Parkgebühren für den Anreisetag verrechnet!
Das Frühstück ist durchschnittlich und der Meerblick war leider auch nur sehr begrenzt.

Large rooms, not far from the beach (we had room with sea view). Pools and sauna park are at the Terme Portoroz. Breakfast could be a little bit better but the staff is kind. Parking is nearby against surcharge. A huge selection of massages and treatments.

Es war seht schön! Das Doppelbett hatte eine durchgehende Matratze und eine große Bettdecke für 2 Personen.

Consigliatissimo in ogni aspetto

Parkplatz könnte im Preis inkludiert sein und sollte erst am Abend des Aufenthaltes geräumt werden müssen.
Die Liegen am Strand sollten ebenfalls im Preis für Gäste enthalten sein.

Consigliate camere di livello superiore alle camere di livello base. Possibilmente fronte mare...vista molto bella.

Camera spaziosa , confortevole , condizionatore rumoroso e mal gestibile . Pulizia molto curata .
I servizi lasciano molto a desiderare.

Check-in is in the neghbouring Apollo and was, shall we say, unenthusiastic. Was told no parking space available, the "bell hop" would guide me to the parking 2km away for free. I assume driving while using your phone is legal in Slovenia? No?

In retrospect, it was the transfer that was free not parking. Using the hotel as a base to explore the region, I wasn't going to go through the inconvenience of this every time so I found a place behind the hotel (Parkirišče Vila Marija at €18/day - cash only, takes up to €50 notes, change in coins).

Then we were directed to our rooms - up the steps, behind the bar, past the play area, through the doors and down the corridor. Who cares if we had 3 heavy suitcases? Where was the "bell hop" now? The lift serving 5 floors is miniscule and we frequently slogged up the stairs in the heat rather than wait or share with malodoured fellow guests.

Reviews describe rooms as tired or dated - the decor was a bit mediocre and dated but overall were very clean and bright and beds comfortable and the shower very good, if dimly lit. Aircon struggled with 30 degree heat.

Breakfast (avoiding the lift down to -1) wasn't great for a vegetarian. Cereals with chocolate, croisants and pastries that never felt 100% fresh, coffee from a machine that was certainly instant. OK juice. Eggs looked unapealling. Definitely not 4*. And the vultures (staff) zooming around grabbing any plates, cups and utensils from tables, often before they were truly finished with! Reaching over your shoulder and, in once instance, standing on my foot.

The whole fitness/wellbeing/spa/health thing is cosmetic. The website could be a load of AI generated mumbo jumbo for all its worth. Very few facts, such as the parking situation.

Following the signs for the swimming pool took me all the way to Apollo reception where I was told, no, other way. I tried to explain I had followed the signs but she was adamant I was wrong, it was the other way. (I later realised there is a cordoned off pool entrance - that is what I had been following signs for) So I followed signs the other way down endless corridors, doors etc. Yes, the sea water pool was OK but nothing to write home about. If you want to take a robe to the pool it is €6.

If you want to use the minibar fridge for yourself it can be "rented"!

On checkout I was charged parking at €12/day before realising When I said we didn't park other than the first day she was adamant it was my fault for not telling them. Why would I when I hadn't been told the cost? Anyway, they refunded me in € cash - on my last day when I didn't need any more euros.

Finally, wi-fi was poor.

Definitley not a 4* experience and staff were unenthusiastic about everything. Except the cleaners who were friendly, even if they did knock the door to see if we really meant to not be disturbed, as per our door hanger!

A real nightmare with a parking space. The parking space is 2,5 km away from the hotel. You have to wait 15-40 minutes to get your car.
Clean and tidy rooms. Food was ok. Nice location of the hotel.
