Great room, very large bathroom. Staff very friendly and gym well equipped. Beautiful hotel, located in the Loop
In the evenings although well located, the area was not lively, it is mostly the business area of Chicago.
Price Quality ratio quite high: you had to add the breakfast which was tasty but like in a restaurant, for the price I've paid I would have loved to have the breakfast fully included.
Absolutely unhelpful staff.
I was crying at the counter. Scared and alone and the man working there says “ma’am can you step to the side. Garbage under the chair in my room. Ripped shades. Gross paste in the bed.

I would not be post this review had I not struggled with my experience. We checked out on May 14, it has been well over 10 days and at least 7 business days have passed but I have not received a refund on my incidentals' fee of $6,600 for 3 rooms!! For starters we are tourists in the US and to charge such a hefty amount for incidentals and not refunding it in time can really cause trouble for us as tourists! We have been trying the reception, the account and the customer service but to no avail! They just seemed to have washed their hands of any responsibility now and accounts will only accept a voicemail and get back to you at their easy breezy convenience. Please do think twice as visitors, $6,600 is no laughing matter!
We walked in the hotel and saw the cutest Chicago Dog, RedBull peach Paloma hit the spot!
I want to share my experience at JW Marriott Chicago because really, it was wonderful. We came here for a 2-day client offsite in May and I have to say, it was one of the best hotels I have stayed and planned an event at.
The sleeping rooms: They are clean, spacious and really fancy. Everybody in our group was talking about how comfortable they felt and how amazing they are. Also, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smelled so good. The meeting spaces are renovated recently and very beautiful, perfect for a high-level event. Our attendees were just wowed.
But what really made the difference is the people. Phoebe, Julia, Celia and Paul from the events team were amazing, and honestly, every staff member we met was the same. You can feel that they are happy to work there, and they are always ready to do anything to help you make your event the best. Any small thing we needed, they said yes with a smile.
I give props to the sliders from the bar. And the flourless chocolate cake, I am still thinking about it. Between the location, the rooms, the meeting spaces and the food, there is really nothing missing.
If you are planning a client offsite, a business trip, or even just to enjoy Chicago, I recommend this hotel. I am extremely picky and very demanding. We will come back for sure. Thank you so much to all the team at JW Marriott Chicago — you made our event very special.
I had a pleasant stay at the JW Marriott. My room was larger than normal for a central city hotel and featured a very comfortable bed with luxury linens. The bathroom was well-equipped with dual sinks, soaking tub, stand-up shower, and a private water closet. Note that you will be charged a destination fee (per day) upon check-in. One inclusion of the destination fee is a food & bev credit, which I was able to apply to my tab in the lobby bar. My stay was during the weekend, so the Executive Lounge hours were limited, and I unfortunately never made it in there. This hotel would be a great spot for a conference or networking event due to it's expansive lobby and seating near the bar area.
Location, restaurant, most staff were kind and helpful. Quiet room.
Our room smelled a bit of sewer and I’m the morning a bit of food prep wafting in.
