Villa Borghi is een prachtig gebouw met een duidelijk waw-gevoel. Alles lijkt bling bling en het ademt rust uit. De ligging is prachtig, mooie tuin en zwembad. Het ontbijt is goed en kon buiten genomen worden.

Cons:

In tegenstelling tot wat vermoed wordt liggen de kamers in een bijgebouw. Dit is een moderne blok met een strakke, moderne, koude afwerking. Ook zo voor de kamer. Functioneel, dat wel, maar zonder gevoel voor aankleding. Ogen dicht en hopen dat het snel de volgende ochtend is. Het baliepersoneel had duidelijk een citroen gegeten: afstandelijk, het strikte minimum en ongeïnteresseerd. De bar, die uitgeeft op de mooie tuin, nodigt uit om een glaasje te drinken. De barman bleek geruime tijd onvindbaar en hier ook: weinig klantvriendelijkheid. We namen het avondmaal in het restaurant van "het kasteel": de garçon wist van weinig, sprak heel gebrekking Engels (tot daar nog aan toe) en hoewel de locatie mooi is, leken alle ingrediënten aanwezig voor een romantisch avondje. Het eten was echter van mindere kwaliteit (de tarbot leek niet op tarbot). Kortom, ons geplande verblijf in een droomvilla was er eentje in mineur. Wij komen hier niet meer terug.

A beautiful and comfortable hotel, but the reception service could be more attentive and supportive.
Pros:

The location is beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast and housekeeping staff were very kind and welcoming. We also really appreciated the complimentary bottle of water, especially as we arrived late at night.

Cons:

Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the lack of assistance from the reception staff. We arrived late at night with four suitcases, but no help was offered. It would have been helpful if the gentleman at reception had at least informed us that our room was located outside the main villa, as this would have saved us unnecessary effort.

The following morning, as we had a flight from Malpensa, I asked the receptionist to arrange a taxi. She simply advised me to contact their usual drivers directly, but none of them was available. In the end, I had to find the number of the local taxi service and arrange everything myself. Considering this is a four-star hotel, we would have expected the reception to organise the taxi or at least provide more practical assistance.

Het bijgebouw waar je verblijft is koud ingericht. Zijn ook geen foto's van op booking.com. Beneden was elke dag een bijeenkomst van bedrijven, hiervoor was geen aparte zaal
