Hotel Golden Star

I don’t usually review but I feel I should. This hotel was just lovely. I’d emailed them before we arrived and they communicated excellently, gave me recommendations for restaurants. I’d not upgraded our room but our room was lovely and clean and had the most amazing views over the city. The beds are 2 singles pushed together so there is a gap. The breakfast was very adequate too, zero complaints. We went for a quick dinner next door before drinks and we have never encountered a more happy, friendly and cool guy in Roman! Beef goulash was unreal too. I’d highly recommend this hotel. Was lovely to walk to the old town from here and just at the bottom of the hill going up to the castle. Thankyou Hotel Golden Star, we really loved our stay.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Golden Star hotel. The hotel is in a picturesque location with great views. We had a spacious triple deluxe room. Every facility was catered for. Breakfasts were good. Hotel reception staff were all very helpful. We would definitely stay again should we return to Prague.

Amazing hotel on the top of the hill, great views of the city and close to the castle. Hotel is beautiful, a modern upgrade to a classic building. Staff are all wonderful and welcoming. Great restaurant and bar, exceptional breakfast. Would highly recommend for anyone planning a city break in Prague.

We stayed at the golden star for 4 nights to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had an amazing time! The hotel is absolutely beautiful - the rooms are large and tastefully decorated. We were so lucky to have a room looking out over the main street down to Charles Bridge - it was stunning! Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb - so much choice and very tasty indeed! We certainly didn't need lunch! Our first time in Prague and for us this was the perfect place to stay. Prague has so much to offer that we will definitely be back to enjoy more of it's beauty - and would 100% stay at the golden star again. Thank you for making our trip so special xx

What a fantastic hotel. Lovely rooms, great staff, very clean and a great little find. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone planning to visit Prague.

Picture perfect. Well situated away from the hustle and busstle. Great view of the city. Excellent hotel with great staff. Rooms are large with all the emenities that one needs. Clean room and hotel all around.
All staff were friendlly. Breakfast was great and enough essentials for the size of the hotel. It was always replenished every 5 min.
Not sure when, if am in Prague will be back for sure.
The retaurant was also amazing with local dishes.

We went in the low season and we were able to checkin around noon. We were given a voucher for free drinks in the hotel restaurant. The hotel is very modern and nicely decorated rooms. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk away from the castle with spectacular views of Prague from our room. It is near the top of the hill. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a triple deluxe room. The room was clean and it had a hairdryer in the bathroom. Also we had a complimentary bottle of wine in our room, it was lovely. The room was very big. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would love to come back.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were very pleased. It’s an excellent location near the Prague Castle and Petrin Hill. Walkable to the Charles Bridge and Astrological Clock as well. Nearest tram stop is about a 7-10 minute walk from the hotel. Very easy to get around Prague with public transportation. Room was clean and comfortable. We were on the top floor and had excellent views of the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good with many choices. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Prague. Only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is quiet a hike up the hill from the tram stop. You can grab a cab if necessary, otherwise be prepared to climb quite a bit here and around other parts of the city.

Amazing!

Recently stayed 4 nights at the Golden Star and it was the perfect choice for a visit with my 18 year old son. We could walk into city and access to e scooters too which we used a lot ( be careful which roads you go on though and read the signs). Room was clean, spacious with comfortable bed and lovely view. The staff were helpful and the breakfast good with enough choice. If you have mobility problems this may not be the ideal choice as it’s at the top of a hill but that was fine for us and added to the amazing views of a stunning city. Lots of trams in Prague so good and cheap form of transport. Beer good and cheap. Range of prices in restaurants but compared to a lot of cities this was a very affordable place to go. Golden Star was great value for money. Definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Beautiful property with perfect view of the beautiful city. 5 min walk up to the castle.

Wonderful friendly staff and spacious room

We recently stayed at the hotel for a family birthday trip, and booked Golden Star on the strength of the other Tripadvisor reviews. It did not disappoint! Friendly & efficient front of house staff & at reception, the hotel is very clean and in a wonderful location. We really appreciated the peace and quiet of the area in the evening after long days walking around the magnificent city of Prague. We had 2 rooms and both were very nice, peaceful and quiet with a full range of in room services - air conditioning, safe, bathroom toiletries, robes, nespresso coffee machine & minibar. Comfortable beds & good powerful hot shower system. Great varied buffet breakfast which we enjoyed & plenty of seating, loved the Helix sculpture in the lift area of the hotel! Close to some good bars & restaurants which we went to in the local area. Hotel is up a hill on the road up to Prague Castle which we didn’t mind personally as the view from the hotel of Prague was a bonus here and to get good views you need to go up! We would stay her again without hesitation.

Beautiful room with one of the best views in Prague. Kind and quick check-in. Peaceful and quiet at night. Luxurious-feeling/smelling hygiene products in bathroom, heated floors. Gorgeous lighting in room. Uber willing to pick up right out front. It is quite the slog up Nerudova, but well worth it! Convenient to multiple places for food/snacks. Well stocked mini bar with ok-ish prices.
Will stay again of ever in Prague!

I loved my stay! I switched a couple of different rooms since I decided to extend it. I highly recommend it, especially the supreme room with the view is worth it! Staff was very friendly, helpful, even when I wasn’t feeling well one staff member was kind enough to suggest options and let me know what clinics I could visit. David was also great and was very helpful when I was having panic attack, the location is superb!

Great location! Rooms are not extra big, simple but very clean and modern. Breakfast was really good. AC was gra at since we visited in the summer. I highly recommend this hotel.

This property is amazing. Perched on top of the hill and at the foot of Prague Castle, it offers privacy as well as proximity to all key attractions. The service is fantastic and the restaurant is one of the best in Prague for Czech food. This is our second visit and we will return for sure!
