Important information:

Please note that the center of Hallstatt is a car-free zone. You need to park your car on the P1 parking outside the town, which can be reached through a tunnel. Additional costs apply (please see Parking Facilities).

A shuttle service is provided for guests who park at and hold a valid ticket for P1 parking lot. It is free of charge and only available on arrival and departure.

Please note that it cannot be guaranteed in which of the 3 historic buildings you will be accommodated, because requests for a specific building are subject to availability. Haus Stocker and Haus Seethaler have no elevator. They are a 3- to 5-minute walk away from the main building, where the breakfast room and other facilities can be found.

Please note that smoking is strictly not allowed in guestrooms. A penalty fee of EUR 60 per incident will be charged.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Парковка, персонал ресторана, весь менять надо, это не команда для 4 звёзд, могут и в имбисе работать что экономить деньги посетителей отеля.

Deceiving propaganda...overpriced hotel
Pros:

Hallstatt is a beautiful and peaceful place. People from Upper Austria are amazing (Salzburg/Hallstatt) had been so kind, if there is an issue with transportation like the day we were there, hotels in Salzburg and Hallstatt make it easier by guiding you and telling you how to proceed, which bus to take and at no extra cost if you have already paid a train ticket ( Hallstatt) or you are staying at any hotel (Salzburg) they do take care of you and you feel welcomed!

The place was warm and cozy, I am a huge fan of L'Occitane, and the hotel provides you with soap, shower gel, and shampoo from that brand, which is amazing and for sure you are already paying for it with that huge price of the room ( or at least I want to be positive and think in that way!)

Decoration inside the room is beautiful, and rooms have good light.

Cons:

The main thing I didn't like was the deceiving propaganda about the hotel on Booking. Meaning,unless I didn't read properly, nowhere said I had to stay in a building that was like 10 or 15 minutes walking, far away from the MAIN building!! They informed us this just when we were doing the checking in AFTER they had all our information (passports and credit cards and of course payment was made)

Thank God it wasn't snowing or we didn't have a heavy rain falling over us. Otherwise, our time in Hallstatt wouldn't have been nice. As soon as you descend from the boat (it isn't a ferry), you see that beautiful building that is so warm and cozy during a cold day and just think, hey! I am so lucky! Just as described, the hotel is less than 3 minutes away from deck! Oh no! big surprise, it isn't!! your building will be 10 to 15 minutes walking from the main building (apparently, there are 3, each of them away from each other) and you can't leave until they have finished with other reservations that are taking place and are going to the same building!

Not to mention that as a woman, you might not feel very comfortable walking alone at night after going out for dinner ( because restaurants are far away walking) through a dark, narrow, and lonely path. Also, the building has any kind of locks in the main entrance. We are lucky Hallstatt is still a nice and gorgeous safe place to stay! Other way, we have felt truly unsafe.

The shower is not friendly for tall people, as it won't stay in place and will keep slipping, I am short, and I still had to bend my knees to rinse myself.

The room they gave us has a safety hazard because as soon you open the door ( no lights on still,as they light up with your room card) there are like 3 or 4 steps that if you are not careful, you might fall, almost happened to my companion!!

Pros:

Location, location, location! No problems getting the room we'd reserved (lake view). Great surprise for the quality of the breakfast and the sauna availability. Rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. Temperature in the room was always perfect. High quality with the people and accommodations.

Cons:

Might need to add a grab bar in the bathtub, since it's a high step up.
