Important information:

Please note that the center of Hallstatt is a car-free zone. You need to park your car on the P1 parking outside the town, which can be reached through a tunnel. Additional costs apply (please see Parking Facilities).

A shuttle service is provided for guests who park at and hold a valid ticket for P1 parking lot. It is free of charge and only available on arrival and departure.

Please note that it cannot be guaranteed in which of the 3 historic buildings you will be accommodated, because requests for a specific building are subject to availability. Haus Stocker and Haus Seethaler have no elevator. They are a 3- to 5-minute walk away from the main building, where the breakfast room and other facilities can be found.

Please note that smoking is strictly not allowed in guestrooms. A penalty fee of EUR 60 per incident will be charged.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Unforgettable and memorable!
Pros:

The location was excellent, as it was just at the doorstep of the boat arrival. We were given a room accessible by lift as requested and with a view that was just so amazing! Though we were a little early for check in, however the staff helped by giving us our room as soon as it was ready. Breakfast was lovely too and overall, our stay and experience at Hallstatt had been wonderful.

Cons:

Room rate was pretty high, but it was worth the stay, the view, service and overall experience.

Leuk om gezien te hebben. 1 dag is genoeg.
Pros:

Mooie omgeving. Vriendelijk personeel.

Cons:

Je moet er rekening mee houden dat je vanaf de P-plaats met een shuttle naar een drop off punt wordt gebracht ( is niet je hotel) je mag dan maar 1 tas pp meenemen.

Pros:

You don't necessarily get to stay in the main hotel they have two other places to stay , both away from the main one,so you have to walk through the village to go for breakfast, there is a shuttle to and from the hotel on arrival and departure, but don't think you can just turn up with your bags and go there is a schedule apparently, we checked out and walked to the carpark to save waiting around, disappointed on arrival to find blood on our bedding , but this was quickly resolved, room was ok but needed some dusting, view did overlook the lake but no air con just a fan, overpriced for not being in the main hotel, breakfast was good, buffet , car parking is limited so get there early on arrival day, tourists start arriving by 8am, it costs €19 a day if you stay over, with hotel discount button on ticket machine you must get a ticket and keep with you for exiting

Mooie locatie, aanrader!
Pros:

Locatie ..hoger gedeelte, mooi oud gebouw..lekker aardig wat trappen lopen ( niet geschikt voor mensen die moeilijk te been zijn)

Cons:

Alles was ok. Alleen kamer was relatief eenvoudig en prijs v 350,- per nacht lag in mijn beleving iets teveel uit elkaar.

Fantastic location
Pros:

We stayed for 3 nights.
Fantastic location with stunning view of the lake. We booked a junior suite. The room was spacious and had a walk in shower. Clean room.
Some Breakfast staff very cold.
Boiled eggs on the buffet was very runny not boild at all. Had to request 3 times to get a proper boiled egg. Surely the Chef should be aware how to cook a simple boiled egg.
Had dinner at the restaurant one night. Food was average. The staff including the Man in charge were not friendly or welcoming. The restaurant displayed a board saying the closing time as 10 pm and kitchen close at 9.00 pm. We approached the Manager around 5.30pm at the restaurant and requested for a reservation to be made at 8pm. we were told in a rude way it was too late to have at that time. So we had to adjust our reservation at 7.30pm. Surely when the restaurant is closing at 10pm I cannot understand why a reservation cannot be accommodated at 8pm.
At dinner we requested a carafe of red wine for two of us. The guy who served our table came and just put the carafe on our table with 2 glasses and walked away without poring the wine in our glasses. Never experienced such a poor service at a hotel.
Surely People in Hospitality industry should know how to treat guests and provide a simple service by poring a drink in the glasses.
Reception staff friendly. We did mention about the poor restaurant service to the receptionist.
Hope the management takes these feedback to improve the service.
On our remaining stay at the Hotel we never had dinner at this Restaurant.

The location is the best in town

Cons:

1.can't arrive with the car to the hotel need to take shuttle from the parking place.
2..there is no air conditioning in the room, was impossible to sleep and stay.
3.The towels she looks more than 25 YO.
4.The l9bby and reception cl9se shut off the place from 21:00,without notice it was difficult to find the alternative way to get back to the rooms.

War schön aber Hallstatt wars zum letzten mal.
Pros:

Die Kaffeetassen zur Maschine mitzunehmen ist umständlich , es sollten welche vorort sein.

besonders gefallen hat die super schöne Lage und das Zimmer mit Ausblick auf den See ... die Bereitstellung von Regenschirmen .... Das Bedienpersonal war äußerst aufmerksam ... Zimmerreinigung auch sehr zuverlässig

Frühstück und Speisenangebot war im großen und ganzen gut , doch bei längerem Aufenthalt - wie es bei uns der Fall war- ein bißchen eintönig , keine Abwechslung der Speisen und beim Frühstück hätte es auch mal "Eier-Variationen" oder mehr Kuchenangebot sein können ... der Wunsch nach einem schön angerichteten Tisch zum Frühstück wegen des Geburtstages vom Partner (86 Jahre) wurde zwar aufgenommen und im Buch vermerkt, jedoch tatsächlich außer Acht gelassen an dem besagten Tag! Auch hinsichtlich Unterstützung bei Erreichbarkeit des Hotels zu frühabendlicher Stunde hätten wir uns etwas mehr Kompetenz und Service gewünscht, weil die Busse ab 19.00Uhr nicht mehr verkehren - so durften wir uns selbst durchschlagen über Verbindungen ab Bad Ischl bis Hallstatt und dann noch ein Taxi beauftragen - Serviceleistungen, die ich mir beim Anruf im Hotel von dieser Stelle erhofft hatte!
