Hermanus and Wineries in Hemel-en-Aarde
Pros:

We were travelling from Australia and enjoyed the coastal drive from Cape Town to explore the wines of Hermanus.
The hotel was very well located on the headland and our room provided excellent views over the water. Room appointments were excellent and luxury.
Hermanus was a pleasant surprise and the wineries outstanding. Well worth the visit.

Not being in the main hotel. Did not like being on the back street.

Less than expected.
Pros:

The hotel is well located and my room had a lovely view of the ocean. Unfortunately the service and daily breakfast did not reflect the anticipated quality for a four star rating.

Pros:

Absolutely gorgeous place! So much better in real life! The location is just stunning and out of a fairytale.. we had our private hot tub which was a highlight! The staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful. The breakfast was great and the rooms were spotless!

Beautiful location and friendly staff, however they don’t follow up on guest requests.
Pros:

Location is great and central.

Cons:

Although an email was sent regarding bed types - this was not done only after check in.
Amenities in room was low- no shower cap or tissues are supplied.
Will be a problem when it rains to get to the main restaurant as rooms are split into 5 buildings.
