Great hotel, very nice staff from the reception team to the cleaners.
Rooms a little dated but everything was tidy and clean and didn't leave you feeling like you needed anything.
Amazing view of the mountains and the bay from the balcony.
Food in the restaurant was good for an all inclusive and the selection of drinks was great. You could pay a small fee for premium drinks in the piano bar which was good value for money
Overall a great base to enjoy the charms of Montenegro 🇲🇪
We have just returned from a week away at the end of the season.
Two adults and two teens.
We had 2 double rooms with interconnecting door which worked out well so we had two bathrooms.
We originally had a room on the 4th floor of block 1 with a semi sea view and view of the garden. After 2 nights I did have to ask to be moved as the noise from the service area woke me up several times a night. Reception staff We so accommodating and despite having 600 new guests checking in on that day they did switch us to the 6th floor and a mountain view. I slept well for the rest of the week.
The food here is likely the best we have ever had in an all inclusive. Lots of options for everyone of all ages. The meat on offer daily was impressive from Beef, chicken, pork, veal amongst others and plenty of veggie options. We don't eat fish but did notice a huge amount of fish options.
Breads, ice creams fruits were on offer for every meal and snacks.
The ice cream is amazing, along with the pancakes, waffles and the chocolate fountain.
The drinks and cocktails on offer were a great variety.
We found most of the guests to be English but maybe this was a reflection of the UK October half term dates.
Locally there was plenty to do, boat rides, harbour, lovely coastal walks. We walked to the old town of Budva and spent the day mooching about taking it all it. There is plenty to do locally.
Overall we had a great week and as a family recommend this hotel.
The staff work really hard and the gardens are so beautifully kept.
We travelled with Jet2 for a 3 night stay at the end of the season. There are roadworks on the way to the hotel and so there was a delay getting there, it took about an hour and half.
The hotel itself is nice. The cleaners work very hard and so it is really clean.
The pools are nice, but need more sunbeds as always. It is near the beach, and so you can swim or sunbathe there- but if you want a bed then there is a charge.
The food and restaurants are nice, food was nice and usual standard for all inclusive- but could do with better warmers or a microwave. Lots of nice cakes at breakfast.
Entertainment was not really up to much- but it was end of season. There were no real shows just bingo and dj or music nights.
We were in block 1 (think used to be c) priority with sea view. Room was nice and terrace lovely- however needs more light in the room- it was very dark. And needs nice patio chairs- they were wooden and uncomfortable. Ours was a nice block and near to spa etc. Staff were nice.
Budva old town is very nice. Taxi was about 8 euro there through hotel but 20 on the way back! There is a walk to it, if you mobile.
It was a cheapish deal for us and so nice for what we needed.
This is our second visit to this hotel, just wanted to be back to Montenegro as we just love it.
We arrived early and had 3 rooms split over 2 floors of the main building (we did ask for rooms near each other but hey ho). They could do with a bit of a revamp but we're very clean, cleaners were always about but we only used them 3 times for our 10 night stay as we dont change our bedding at home everyday so why would you on holiday?!
The restaurants are absolutely fantastic, each of the main 2 have a special each night and always plenty to choose from.
The pizzeria style one was perfect for kids round the pool to grab a quick bite but we preferred to eat in the restaurant at dinner time too.
The mini pools were freezing, however the main one was absolutely fine. Only one day we struggled to get beds round the pool. We aren't the type of holiday makers who sit by a pool anyway, we hired a car from the airport and was out most days.
Special mention has got to go to the entertainment staff (especially Edi) who made my little boy (also Eddie) holiday.
He worked tirelessly with his team round the pool with darts and bingo and also the shows each night! Thankyou.
We love this hotel and will be back in a few years Im sure as we just love Montenegro and its people.
We stayed at the Iberostar Budva in late October for the UK half-term — a family of two adults and three children — and absolutely loved every moment.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a really well-organised check-in. Even though we arrived early, the staff stored our luggage, helped us park, and personally escorted us to one of the restaurants for lunch. The hotel itself is spotless, beautifully cared for, and has a calm, relaxed atmosphere.
Our room was spot-on for purpose: clean, tidy, and spacious, with two balconies overlooking the sea on the quieter side of the hotel. The mixture of beds, sofas, and chairs made it ideal for a family, and there was plenty of wardrobe storage. Having filtered water available down the hall was a thoughtful touch.
The food was exceptional. Breakfast outside in the sunshine was a highlight — bean-to-cup coffee, cooked options, cold meats and cheeses, and a great range of pastries. Lunches were fresh and varied, with amazing salads and rotating hot dishes, and dinners were equally impressive with a brilliant dessert and fruit selection. The self-serve drinks stations made things easy, and it was nice to have the option to buy alternative bottled wine at reasonable prices. The snack bar and crepe station were a big hit with the kids. Restaurants were spotless and so efficiently run — fresh tablecloths and cleared plates appeared almost instantly.
Every member of staff was incredible — genuinely friendly, hardworking, and made you feel like royalty. Special mention to the housekeeping team, who not only kept everything immaculate but also left small welcome gifts for our young daughter, which made her day!
Facilities were top-notch. Swimming in the outdoor pool at the end of October, watching the sunset over the Adriatic with palm trees and a mojito from the pool bar, was just perfect. Pool towels were available with a small refundable deposit, and beach access was directly from the hotel. The gym was decent for those who wanted it, and the indoor pool was a nice backup when the weather cooled.
The location was great — we hired a car from the airport and always found free parking at the hotel. Budva Old Town is an easy walk along the seafront, and there’s a small supermarket just moments away. Exploring the mountains by car was incredible (just be prepared for some dramatic cliff-side roads!).
Overall, Iberostar Budva exceeded all expectations. Warm, friendly, excellent value, and truly welcoming — by far the best all-inclusive experience we’ve ever had within such price banding. We would recommend it to anyone, especially families looking for a relaxing, high-quality holiday by the sea.
Wow!!
We absolutely loved every minute! All the staff are fantastic, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the drinks offered are acceptable, but our favourite was the food! We loved everything we ate!
This was the icing on the cake for us, if you like sea food this is the place!
We only had a couple of niggles!
The hotel is very isolated, so not much around, & no local bus service!
The service provided by a local firm (water taxi)
Is expensive 15 euros pp return ( which only takes 10 minutes)
But if it's only a relaxing holiday you need, it's great!
There is only one consideration, it's built on a hill, so it's got loads of steps & steep inclines!
Reception - efficient, friendly service. Umbrellas available.
Room - clean, spacious, small balcony. Free safe. Small fridge.
No tea/coffee facilities. Daily friendly room clean.
Dining- 2 x restaurants. Good variety of tasty hot & cold food. Bonus - smoothies at breakfast. Coffee machine & drinks on tap. Veranda in block A restaurant, which was lovely for outdoor choice. Head chef in dashing black & red monitored running.
Also provided early opening for people heading out early. 6am.
Pizza bar - casual dining. Brilliant. Crepes, burgers, etc.
Sea on the doorstep. Nice beach. Privately run €15 x 2 beds.
Cucumber water in foyer - nice touch. Water fountain on landing for refills.
Drinks - good choice. Beach bar - bonus.
Bad - cash bar in block A, meant we were moved off the outdoor veranda by bar staff for having all inclusive drink.
Spa area - needs an overhaul. Steam not working. Paid €100 for package. 5mins sauna, great hamman & massage.relaxation beds in the corridor. Not private for ladies, as doors left open & the men that seemed to run ir - wandering around. Left to was ure own face mask off.
A lovely hotel 35min walk to Budva along the coast.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for a week. The hotel itself is nicely situated, we actually had a sea view. The complex is quite large with three main buildings, which you soon get the hang of.
Our room was spacious enough with plenty of sockets. Towels changed on a daily basis. You also have a feeling of space within the hotel, the lots of seating areas on each of the landings. We made use of this as the weather when we were there was changeable.
The restaurant served a variety of dishes. Yes there is some repetition but enough variety not to let it bother you. There was quite often some roast of some kind eg pork beef etc, this was tender. As well as whole grilled fish. Lots of options for breakfast including smoothies flavoured waters and your usual offerings. The bread and rolls have plenty of selection and is always fresh. Some evening there was a station within the restaurant that did a theme, one night waffles with toppings, Montenegrin foods etc. I don’t drink tea or coffee but my friends said that the coffee was nice. The ice cream was delicious. I’m not usually an ice cream eater.
All the stuff we came across were lovely. There are even people going around the restaurant with a dustpan and brush ensuring that the floors are kept tidy from any spillages, how often do you find that?
The entertainment, well that is all down to taste! We found it acceptable. Cannot comment on the daytime entertainment as we did not try any of it. Yes the evening entertainment is loud but at the stroke of 11 it ends.
All in all we felt the hotel was well run and organised and would recommend staying here.
Highly recommend this Iberostar hotel- spotlessly clean accommodation, comfortable beds, clean towels and linens, changed daily if required, great food options including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free- and much better labelling of food than previous experiences - so can select appropriate food with confidence (a bit of a game changer when you’re used to second guessing !)
The staff work hard and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Large pool areas and plenty of sun-loungers (although we were not visiting at the height of the season, so may be different when very busy)
We had mixed weather, but a swim in the rain was quite invigorating!
Nice walk along the coast to the cafes along the bay, had a drink at Olympian bar (very friendly) and Scorpion Cafe/bar- also very friendly 😊
Pharmacy within 5 minute walk- English-speaking too, so helpful!
Would highly recommend!
(Booked with Love Holidays and flew with Jet2- both brilliant!
The hotel is located in a good area. It’s only a 15 to 20 minute walk to main Budva town and the old town.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel which you can go into town and also has connections to Kotor.
Our room was really nice and have everything we needed clean and tidy.
The restaurant has a good selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a very nice outdoor area if the weather is good.
The main swimming pool has lots of sunbeds to use and has a bar.
There is an excursions office about five minute walk from the hotel which we used to book scadar Lake and the cable car. These are a must book!!
For the price we paid for two people we would recommend this hotel. It’s in a good location as good connections.
The people in Montenegro are very friendly and it’s a very safe country to visit. We would come back again.
The hotel is located in a good place, a nice walk into Budva old town, where there are lots of shops and things to see.
The hotel was overall maintained well & clean, with the staff working hard all the time & very attentive.
The atmosphere overall was friendly, except some exceptionally rude Germans who felt it necessary to barge past you, causing collision and ignore you like you weren’t even there.
The food was comprehensive for an all inclusive & good quality, there was always a show case or extra as you walked into the main restaurant and lots of variety. There was loads of meat & fish on offer, food was always fresh and well presented. The restaurant does get busy but the staff are always on hand to help find you a table & set one up for you.
The pools were clean & well looked after, we didn’t struggle to have anywhere to sit & the towel service was a nice to have.
The beach was on your doorstep & allowed for a nice walk too.
The spa & indoor pool was a saving grace when the weather took a turn for the worse.
A few shops nearby were greatly appreciated by our 3 children enthusiastic to spend their money.
Our room was a family suite, which was great for us as a family of 5. The maids were amazing! We were located just above the stage and the noise was never too much. The only noise issue we had was a room next door, but it is a holiday after all & never stopped the kids from sleeping.
Only cons were that the family suite could do with a curtain where the main bedroom was to allow for more privacy for changing and the smell of the floor after cleaning sometimes had a ‘sicky’ smell to it.
One of the most pleasant experiences of an all inclusive resort we have had as a family of 5, especially for the price we paid, great value for money!
Lovely hotel. Rooms are large, bright and comfortable. The shower was large with good water pressure , towels changed daily too. There are 3 restaurants serving excellent quality food with a very good selection. Nightly entertainment first for children then adults. The bars close at 11pm, so no noisy revellers. Ill definitely return
A friend and I stayed here all inclusive for a week and had a super relaxing time. For what we paid we got amazing value. We paid just a small amount more for a garden view room in block A which we felt was really worth it as it was a quiet location with a lovely big balcony complete with great view and bougainvillea. The first (older?) block at the main entrance looks less appealing to be honest and I’m guessing would be noisy as it’s over the entertainment area.
Our room was very comfortable, well maintained and equipped. The hotel grounds are beautifully kept and plenty of sun beds with individual sun shades attached.
The food and drinks were better than most other inclusives I’ve experienced. A really good range of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks - we loved the mojitos and the fact that you can help yourself to good quality soft drinks beer and wine all day.
The hotel food offer is generous - freshly made smoothies, waffles, a chocolate fountain one day, lots of fresh fruit. Really nice ice cream to help yourself to any time. A different roast meat every meal, lots of lovely fish and giant prawns. Loved the breakfasts - I appreciated the wide choice of bread and the smoked salmon!
All the staff work hard and are very accommodating. If you want entertainment and/or have kids with you there’s plenty to do but we just relaxed and had early nights!
The hotel is only a 35-40 min flat walk to the gorgeous old town of Budva so make sure you go!
We will be sad to leave this hotel, this is our last day of our 14 night stay. We upgraded to a priority location, and it was well worth the supplement. As people have mentioned there are 3 different buildings and in our opinion the priority part wasn't he best. Gardens and pool area are really well kept, with plenty of sunbeds and seating areas.
Our room was serviced daily to a very high standard, linen changed frequently, towels changed daily. A very well done to the housekeeping department, you are super stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
All the staff have been very friendly and helpful, with a special thanks to Katerina in the pizza bar 🍸 😀.⭐️
Excellent excursions to Kotor and Skadar lake cruise.
Can't wait to return. 😎😎 x
Absolutely terrible. Warm drinks at the bar (despite complaining nearly every day), incredibly noisy rooms way past 11pm due to absolutely booming music from the outdoor stage, terrible evening entertainment, rude staff, not enough sunbeds so we had to get up at 6am every day, noisy banging in dining room throughout every meal ..... I could go on!! So many issues. Nowhere near a 4 star and letting down the whole Iberostar brand. In summary - avoid! Not worth the money, especially in peak season.
This hotel is too big, it's three really huge blocks and when full there's not enough room in either dining room. We were told twice to come back at 8.30 to get a table. The food is the same every day and little change in the menu, bland would a good description. Although our room was very good so we have no complaints there except we had no sun in our location. The guests are 95 per cent russian and German and only a few Brits.
We had a lovely stay here so here are the positives and negatives:
Positives:
-the staff were all so friendly. I would especially like to mention RAKIA and STEFAN for their kind service at the restaurant. We like to have breakfast a bit later and I was half expecting to get dirty looks from waiters for this, but no matter the time we were met with smiles and nice greetings by the staff. This is so refreshing to see. They work so hard, from the gardeners, to the pool maintenance man in white shirt and shorts to the waiters. This made our stay more enjoyable.
- food and drinks were good. I liked the breakfast juices and yoghurts, the pastas, baklava which was served once, and sea bream and cod. Yes, the pasta section is always there and pizza always there which some might find repetitive but the toppings and sauces are different. There are also different meat or fish options each meal. I would like to see more lamb.
- The ice cream was AMAZING. Best I've had from any hotel and would rival ice cream stores back home in London. The hazelnut was so yummy!
-Beach and pools were nice and there are things to do like table tennis or evening entertainment.
- Our room was large and modern and clean. This depends on what you book though.
Negative:
- they charge for sunbeds at the beach which are not cheap. As beach lovers who like to go everyday this is too expensive to maintain so we brought our own parasol and towel but were told by a man running the beach we could not use them next to his paid for parasols and made us use the very edge of the beach. This was labelled 'hotel beach' so I would expect to be able to use every part of it not just the edge. Also they say its an external company but we saw the guy dragging the equipment into the hotel grounds and the sunbeds are the same as by the pool, so...
Our stay would have been more enjoyable if the sunbeds were just free to use like at the pool.
Overall a great place with one major negative maybe they will look into it and make the beach sunbeds free like at other all inclusive hotels. We would recommend this hotel.
Got back last week from this hotel. Beautiful place. All the staff are so friendly and have a smile on their face.
There’s major road works going from the airport to Budva itself but the journey was only roughly an hour.
Food and drink were really good. One of the best all inclusive I’ve been to.
Hotel is not too far from Budva old town. About a thirty minute walk. We also walked to Sveti Stefan which we worked out was about a four mile walk each way. Plenty of bars along the route though for drink and or food stops. We walked both ways so not sure about local transport links.
We got a taxi from the hotel to the bus station which was 5 euros and then the bus up to Kotor which was also 5 euros. Kotor is also a lovely old town. Bus from the taxi station back to the hotel was 15 euros though!
Montenegro and its people are lovely and I would highly recommend checking it out. I’ll definitely go back. Thank you for having us.
Lovely hotel with fabulous staff, so friendly and accommodating at all times. Big thank you to Alexandra at front of house and our cleaner Anita who was so lovely and cheerful all the time! Will definitely return!
This hotel looked like a municipal building from the arrival point but with a stunning scenic backdrop outside however the staff were friendly and someone brought you to the correct block. We were in Block 2 floor 4, a large well equipped room and bathroom but with a tiny badly furnished balcony. The room was noisy at night with the dubious quality of the entertainment. The food ok..bit flavourless with the pasta being the best option here and the breakfast juices poor quality and very watery. All inclusive only applies to outside bars, strange policy and should be made clear when booking. The wine is not labelled suitable for vegetarians so avoided it and drank soda water. In fact the labelling was not always correct with fish dishes marked vegetarian making me stick to vegan choices mostly. The pools are lovely although in need of some tile repair and the grounds extremely well kept and pretty.
