Clean, bright, comfy hotel for a 1-2 night stop.
Pros:

Friendly staff, the room was perfectly adequate for what I needed, the bed was really comfy and I slept well, the breakfast was great and there were plenty of choices available.

Cons:

They don’t do evening meals, so we had to leave the hotel to find somewhere to eat. There seemed to be a lot of reserved parking, so it wasn’t very clear which spaces could be used for hotel guests, and from what I could see, there didn’t look like there were enough spaces for the rooms they have.

Super hotel, tres jolie piscine chauffée a 30°C, petit dejeuner exceptionnel dans une véranda ubuesque a la vue magnifique. L'hotel est dans le style anglais, pas d'ascenseur, des escaliers partout, nous avons adoré. Parking gratuit. Personnel accueillant et aux petits soins. Pret de serviette pour la piscine. Les lits sont bons et la propreté est nickel. Nous avons aimé passer un peu de temps dans la véranda avec un thé/café en jouant aux echecs. C'est un hotel dans lequel nous reviendrons.

Cons:

Lavabo trop petit dans la salle de bain.

We stayed here before so we’re visiting family so we decided to stay again we were upgraded free to a better room with nice views we would stay here again definitely breakfast was good too.

Pros:

Location to airport and beach as we were staying for one night. Good breakfast and nice view of beach from breakfast room. Board games for kids to play in the lounge bar. Family room with bunk beds. Clean bathroom. Bed reasonably comfortable. Bar man on arrival.

Cons:

Staffing. Had only one person on at arrival at 6.30pm who had to man the bar and reception for arriving guests.. Seemed empyt. No other staff around. Had to wait and round to find him as did other guests. He himself was great but I think you need someone to meet at reception on arrival at all times or be available to answer a phone /bell especially after a long drive to get there .

It was quite quiet with not many guests. The soundproofing between walls and floors was bad. Could hear people walking through the corridors, talking , opening closing doors, toilets flushing.Sound insulation between rooms and floors should be improved especially as the hotel was not particularly busy and the other people were not doing anything particularly loud on purpose.

Car parking tricky as not all places marked clearly and a bit tight on a slope. Rooms dated but clean. The metal step ladders for the bunk beds were painful for kids to climb up and down- maybe choose a wider metal step or wooden stepladder.

Overall, ok for an overnight holiday stay before a flight but would be disappointed if I had booked longer or if I had to go to work the next day,mainly due to how much noise you could hear from corridors and rooms around you when inside the hotel bedroom. Did not sleep well and usually I can sleep through anything.

A superior hotel. We shall be back.
Pros:

We were fortunate with the weather and so were able to sip G&T s on our balcony (worth the extra). The room was spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean. Good TV. Towels were sumptuous. The breakfast menu was extensive and everything we had was well-prepared. We were offered help with our bags (no lift). There is a pleasant bar but we were happy to relax in our room.

Wow! What a little gem of a find!
Pros:

Arrived at the hotel for a 4-night stay and after parking our car made our way up a few steps to reception.
We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who welcomed us to the hotel. She explained where our room was and times for breakfast. We were informed there was no evening meal service, but we already knew this having researched the hotel. She said to ask if we needed any pointers of places to eat or any help with anything at all.

Opening the door to our room. we had booked a superior king-size double room with balcony and beach view, so was expecting it to be nice but it actually exceeded our expectations. The room was so big but cosy too. We had a balcony with a lovely view of Porth beach.
The room had everything you needed – tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and biscuits to enjoy. The room was refreshed every day, and fresh fluffy towels were offered. There was ample space to store clothes etc. The bed was so comfy. You just sank into it, and we had the best nights’ sleep.

As foodies we were so looking forward to the breakfast and all we can say is it was amazing. The best breakfast we’ve ever had to be honest. Everything was cooked to perfection and was all piping hot. High five to the chef! The staff in the restaurant were lovely. Very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, but they also left you to enjoy your breakfast. The view from the conservatory during breakfast was a joy to behold.

Overall, we had an amazing stay and will definitely be returning for another visit. In fact, we’d love to bring our family back too.

Thank you to all the staff, who made the stay so pleasant. We couldn’t fault anything or anyone.

Disappointing, won’t be coming back
Pros:

One major problem was the staff attitudes to people. Considering this is a service industry, most of the staff were dreadful at talking to guests. One lady who looked after us at breakfasts was lovely and Charlie tried but the rest were not bothered about guests at all. No help or advice, wanted to do something special as we were starting for a birthday but no help at all. Lovely location and the hotel has just been refurbished and looked nice, breakfast good most days but we’ll go somewhere where the staff are bothered and they have a restaurant that opens for dinner.
