Horrible!
Pros:

The hotel is very old. Website pictures of the room are completely different from a reality. My room had a hair dryer from 1970, old furniture, dirty carpet, broken tiles in the bathroom, water stained walls etc.. Internet is so slow, unless you go all the way to the reception area. At night you can’t sit in the lobby area. Same breakfast every day. Very loud due to roundabout. Reception staff was okay during the day, worst at night. The cleaning lady left dirty glasses for 3 days, until I brought it to the reception myself. The only positive about this hotel is location and access to/from airport. Definitely not 4.5 star hotel as it was advertised. I would never stay there again.

Pros:

I have stayed five times here and checking in and out is quick and easy. Convenient for the A1 airport bus (on the other side of the roundabout). Three stops on a public bus (I usually got the 29 or 31) to Republic Square (I also believe Belgrade is pleasntly walkable) . The roundabout can be a bit noisy (depending on which room you stay in). There is also a little fridge in the room, which is perfect for snack from the Maxi supermarket in the next street. There is also a 24 hour street kiosk right outside the hotel, which is handy during the night.

Great location - Attractive rates - Authentic Serbian stylish hotel with great staff - Highly recommended
Pros:

I stayed at the Hotel Slavija Garni in Belgrade back in December and had a really good time.

As a frequent visitor to Belgrade since the beginning of the 2000s, I always used to stay at the original legendary former "JAT" Hotel Slavija the mini-high rise building, which is right across the street from this, the Hotel Slavija Garni, but that now has graciously seized its operations now for good. However, the Hotel Slavija Garni is following in the Hotel Slavijas legendary footsteps and in a way carries on its legacy and rich history as well as its aura.

The Hotel Slavija Garni is located by the Trg Slavija/Slavija Square in the affluent Vračar neighbourhood of the beautiful Serbian capital of Beograd/Belgrade - the White City. The hotel is located only a couple of hundred meters down the street and really close to the Vračar plateau with the majestic 79 metres high "Hram Svetog Save" (The Temple of Saint Sava) - the beautiful and huge Serbian Orthodox Cathedral.

The hotel is easily accessible with a tram stop close by and multiple bus stops. The Airport Express Bus terminates/starts from the Trg Slavija/Slavija Square right outside the hotel, literally 200 metres from the hotels main entrance, so it's very convenient to get to/from the hotel and/or the Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport (BEG). Speaking of Nikola Tesla, it could also be mentioned that the legendary Nikola Tesla Museum is also in close proximity of the hotel and is just 500 metres walk away. Also the "House of Flowers" / The Tito Mausoleum /Museum of Objects of Serbia/Serbian/Yugoslavian History Museum, is 15 minute walk to from here as well.

Even though the area isn't precisely exact in the main part of the city centre, you have still everything you need right by the hotel. There are multiple restaurants and shops, supermarkets, etc. very nearby. There is a McDonald's right across the street, like 20 metres from the hotel entrance, across another street on the opposite of the square, which is also a major roundabout, you have a big Maxi Supermarket which is open 24 hours.

The Hotel Slavija Garni is a comfortable three star hotel which, as previously mentioned, carries on the legacy of the old, now defunct legendary Hotel Slavija, which was a real hotspot for decades back in its heydays, and the Hotel Slavija Garni is just as elegant and the interior and decor reminds to some extent of the old Hotel Slavija with it's iconic wooden panels and wall-to-wall carpets.

In due to a very delayed flight in to BEG, it unfortunately happened that I only arrived at about 04:00 hrs in the middle of the night, but the receptionist was just as bright and all smiles, very polite and friendly irregardless the inconvenient and late hour. I was quickly assigned a standard double room on the second floor with partial view of the Trg Slavija/Slavija Square and partial view of the Svetog Save Street and the old Hotel Slavija.

My hotel room had a huge and comfortable double bed/King bed, a huge flat-screen TV, large working desk with comfortable and plush, soft working chair. It also had a mini-bar. The hotel room was stylish and modern in design with beautiful light yellow coloured panels, desks and bed side tables with retro green and purple curtains and bed duvet, which looked really cool and 70's style retro, also there was soft and comfortable dark blue/navy colour wall-to-wall carpet in the room.

The bathroom was very fresh and immaculate clean with a robust and comfortable bath tub and good lighting and also robust and big bathroom sink. All water held a consistent flow and temperature and the water pressure was also consistent and high and strong.

Despite the location of the hotel is so very near to the Trg Slavija/Slavija Square and its constant heavy traffic 24/7 with never-ending cars, trams, buses, and also the constant flow of people passing by, there was never any issues with noice pollution, as the isolation of the walls and windows and doors was really robust and you were never disturbed by anything like this.

The other central parts of Belgrade and other points of interest are at a somewhat walking distance from/to the hotel. It will take You approximately 30 minutes to reach the Terazije area, Knez Mihalova/Main Street and the nearby Central Train Station, Hotel Moskva,etc.,. Then to get to the insanely huge and brand new "Galerija Beograd" with its 300+ stores, it'll take you also approximately 30 minutes by walking, or should you instead fancy to go to the UŠĆE Mall/Shopping Center, then it's 45 minutes walk to/from Hotel Slavija Garni.

Of course there are plenty of public transport, trams, buses easily accessible near by the hotel and addition very affordable taxis in Beograd, but Beograd is so beautiful and there is so much to see that you otherwise will miss, as the central parts of the wonderful city of Beograd is perfectly walkable.

In conclusion, the Hotel Slavija Garni is a very comfortable hotel in a convenient location. It offers good quality hotel rooms at attractive rates and has great staff. You have for example the Belgrade Hilton Hotel just 100 metres from the Hotel Slavija Garni, supposedly super-luxurious and x3+ or more expensive hotel, but I would chose the Hotel Slavija Garni over the Belgrade Hilton any day of the week anyhow - Because the Hotel Slavija Garni is a real authentic Serbian stylish hotel with a soul, tradition and real hotel friendly and lovely staff, and in here, You will come across and you'll get the heart and soul of Serbia, real Serbian food, instead of the useless American soulless mass-produced amenities in their Hilton with their American soulless robotic staff, no thanks, this hotel imho much better!

I would definitely stay at the Hotel Slavija Garni again the next time I am in Beograd and I can highly recommend this hotel.

Roundabout can be noisy, but the A1 bus from the airport stops and starts here. Most Belgrade sights are walking distance, but multiple bus routes can take you to where Terazije meete Kneza Mihaila in two stops. Nice air conditioning.

Pros:

I have stayed here three times now. It is by a noisy roundabout (lots of chaotic traffic and beeping, which only quietens in the early hours of the morning) in the neighbourhood of the Temple of Saint Sava and close to the centre on foot or by buses. Very convenient with the A1 airport bus line starting/ending opposite the roundabout. Free Wi-Fi helps you stay connected to the world. Rooms have a fridge, which is handy for drinks and snacks.

The hotel needs to be refurnished
Pros:

The room furniture is old and antiquated, and so is the bathroom, with shower curtains and a narrow bathtub. When I turned on the tap brown water came out. I had to let it run sometime and then the wáter was fine. They don't use electronic keys, but normal keys with a key ring. If you choose a room on the Street (Trg Slavija) you will have a nice view of the city, but on the other hand, you will hear the noise of the car and buses, as it is a busy area. If you choose a quiet area the view is horrible. The beds are comfortable but too low, too close to the floor.
The lobby area and front desk look antiquated and dark, you don’t feel you are coming to a hotel, nor feel welcomed at all. To tell you the truth, looks ugly and low class.
The location is great if you want to take the A1 Bus to and from the airport, as it stops in Trg Slavija, a 4-minute walk from the hotel.
Republic Square is a 30-minute walk from the hotel. The Temple of Saint Sava is 7-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel looks like a modern construction from the outside, (like in the picture) but once you are inside the hotel and hotel rooms is like if you were in an old antiquated, ugly hotel.

Pros:

The property was clean and staff polite but the property would benefit from renovation. My understanding is that it is only partially renovated. Breakfast is excellent.
