Machu Picchu Suites

I took this place because I wanted to take a shower on my way from Lima to Cusco and guess what they did not have hot water at 2 in the morning and the receptionist told me that he's going to fix it and he never did I left the place at 4 a.m. and I checked in at 2 a.m. this is not a place that anybody wants to spend any time in it.

This hotel was only 15 min by taxi from Lima hotel. Great place when you have a 8+ hour layover.

An enjoyable stay although the local area is not so pleasant. There are places to eat nearby. It is a good taxi drive from the airport. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was adequate

This hotel does everything right. They are very nice and competent, and the room and breakfast were just as promised! Thank you Machu Picchu Suites, for helping us start our Peru vacation on the right foot. We will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We needed a convenient location near the airport twice - once coming in and once leaving Lima. This was perfect with good communication, a large room which even included a kitchenette. The manager was able to coordinate with several family members and get us to and from the airport and restaurants in perfect time.

Not a bad hotel. Location ok. Fairly cconvenient to airport. Their taxi will rip you off .

The staff is lovely. The breakfast was filling and the kitchen gals friendly and attentive

How did we chose this place??? It was awful. Terrible location. After checking in we passed by another room that had...wait for this..a outside window. I ask why we were given a cave instead of this room (the place was empty) and they said they are all the same. Room 'window' overlooked the kitchen so at 6 am we had a built in alarm clock...Avoid like the plague

Pricier compared with other close by However have a kitchen for anyone needing that for their stay.

Business trip totally desapointed

Very close to the airport and they will provide a driver who will wait to pick you up for a very small fee. Staff are extremely friendly and quick to answer any questions about the area.

King bed room is nice. The staff is friendly. Neighborhood looks rougher than it is. Breakfast was ok but in a very confined space

We booked Machu Picchu Suites based on reviews and its star rating.
We had to overnight in Lima before an early flight.
After the hotel emailed saying they would arrange a taxi for $14, the driver told us it would be $25 because it was a holiday.
The hotel is in a fairly grim looking part of Lima. The room we had was quite seedy (for the price).
We slept OK until the early jet arrivals started about 5am.
Better value in San Isidro or Miraflores.

Perfect for a safe one night stay close to airport

It was a nice place to stay. The room I got was quite spacious; it's like an apartment. The internet was fast.

However, the breakfast place was very small.

Small, old room. Didn't feel clean. On a side street that was scary

I checked in well after sunset and left well before sunrise. My room was very clean. The staff was very nice. The neighborhood looked just ok but it was dark and i honestly did not really investigate. I would use this hotel for short layovers. For longer ones i recomend miraflores area.

I made the mistake of thinking Hotels.com charged my CC for the stay and was confused when asked for my card at checkin. Turns out Hotels.com did NOT charge my card. I wish that was made more clear on the web site.

this hotel was only about a 15 minute drive from the airport. Very affordable.Internet access was a bit spotty. Taxi shuttle service from the airport was nice! Our driver Alberto was excellent and spoke great English!

My friend and I were looking for a last minute place to stay overnight in Lima, our main requirements being something in a non-scary area with reliable transport to and from the airport. This place fit the bill perfectly - no more than 30 minutes after confirming my reservation through expedia I received an email direct from the hotel asking if we required airport transfers. Their driver was waiting for us on arrival and the transfer cost was reasonable at US$14 - paid in cash to reception on arrival. The staff were very friendly and the woman at reception spoke excellent english. The room itself was dated but comfortable. Had some trouble with the shower until realising the hot and cold taps were the wrong way around. Would recommend to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable overnight stop in Lima.

great place to stay and very safe, best service personel from front desk to room service,etc,etc.
only problem are curtains in the room are not dark enough, and did wake me up at sunrise.
and the shower head need to been cleaned.
