Outstanding
Pros:

We absolutely loved our time at Tamanu. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed and the resort really does live the ‘casual luxury’ vibe.
The resort itself is lovely with spacious open spaces and beautiful gardens with views to the beach that are magical. We liked that it had an authentic feel and was quiet. The rooms were perfect - large and incredibly comfortable. We really appreciated the excellent air con units!!
Every single staff member we met were helpful and friendly. The ladies in reception were incredibly knowledgeable and ready to help with everything! The housekeepers did a fantastic job - the rooms were always immaculate and the housekeeping got done early each day which we really appreciated. We ate at the restaurant many times and enjoyed all our meals and visited the spa twice - enjoying both our treatments. We loved that there were always loungers and hammocks free and the snorkelling gear, kayaks and SUP board were well utilised but there were always enough available for everyone.

We also really appreciated the way the management and owners seemed genuinely interested in how the guests were enjoying their stay - Errin the GM and Michael both made genuine efforts to touch base with the guests, check in with them and offered fabulous advice.

Thank you for creating and sharing this very special piece of paradise.

Unglaubliche Aussicht vom Strandbungalow, so dass man über die kleineren anderen Mängel hinwegsehen kann.
Pros:

Toller Bungalow direkt am Strand! Gut durchdacht mit Aussendusche und schöner Aussicht.
Kajaks, Stand up Paddel am Strand. Fahrräder gratis zum Ausleihen.

Cons:

Schlechtes WLAN. Frühstück ok.

Exceptional resort.
Pros:

This resort exceeded all expectations and provided one of the best vacation experiences we have had.

Arrival at the airport saw us greeted with beautiful fresh laI’s and helpful staff organising collection of baggage and transport. On arrival at the resort, following a short briefing we were personally shown to our villa. We decided to splurge and have the beachfront villa (the best decision ever) and within a few paces we were snorkelling in the pristine lagoon. The coral and tropical fish were so good we decided to defer the boat trip to another visit as there was enough for us to do.

Breakfast is included here and it was so nice to have a breakfast menu with so many choices. It was a generous and well presented array. Whilst the kitchen had an issue with the exhaust fan, restricting some of their regular operations, they still compensated with BBQ nights. The Island Night is recommended too.

We met the resort manager a few times throughout our stay and he like his team was engaging and spent time with the guests. It really provided a personal touch.

It was also great to see how this resort is committed to renewal and quietly in the background had a team of staff repairing, renewing and repainting so that everything was at its peak.

The Henry Family should be rightly proud of what they have achieved with Temanu Resort and the Manager and Staff should be proud that they represented the family so well in their duties.

We resolved………. We will be back.

Cons:

It would have been nice to have had real glass, glasses for the villas (even if they were just for water) - plastic was a bit of a detraction. An additional of a small microwave in the villa would be good. Small and insignificant against all the great things we experienced.

Sehr gutes Resort am Strand von Aitutaki
Pros:

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Setting on a breathtaking island!
Pros:

WOW! Absolutely stunning property! This was a really special experience getting to stay at this lovely hotel. Our room was very large, right next to the pool, with a bedroom, plus a large living room area with a bed for our son. You could see the beach from our living area and from the big covered porch. The bathroom was beautiful with a lovely indoor shower as well as an outdoor shower. We only had a short time to enjoy breakfast since our lagoon tour was picking us up at 8:00 am, but the breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, bread, muffins, cereal, freshly made pancakes & waffles, and plenty of delicious items to order off the menu which were included in the complimentary breakfast. The hotel staff was incredibly kind, from Aunty Nane who picked us up from the airport and made our son feel extra special, to our complimentary fresh juice upon arrival, letting us store our bags after checkout while we were on the lagoon tour, and the tour of the resort upon arrival. The beach at this property is breathtaking. I went on a long walk down the beach which was one of the most peaceful experiences of my life. We took kayaks and SUP boards out and loved seeing all the fish through the crystal clear water. We had dinner there one night and the food was a little slow to come out, but the delicious food made up for it and the service was very friendly. The pool at this property was gorgeous! Our son never wanted to get out. My husband took a bike out and explored Aitutaki and he loved that experience. Aitukai is very special and we are so glad we stayed at Temanu Beach. We absolutely hope to return one day, but next time we will be staying a lot longer... this short trip was a tease.
