Beautiful location in a quieter area of Newquay. Hotel was clean & tidy. Friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel is a little dated
Location and staff
Rooms very dated and expensive for the quality received
superb view. Amazing breakfast. Excellent. Nice bar too.
We stayed here for a Birthday and was really disappointed . We felt confident looking at the website that the hotel that it would be nice but it was far from it ! The first impression was that it felt like a Nursing Home. The cleaners equipment blocked up the corridor and reception area .
We paid nearly £400 for 2 nights without breakfast and it was so not worth it . Our shower was not working we reported it and the problem was not resolved during our stay!
We did not eat at the restaurant as a member of Staff was unwelcoming and abrupt so we left and went elsewhere.
I would not recommend staying here and wish we stayed at another Hotel .
Great location, friendly staff, traditional but generous breakfast
Nothing to not like
The breakfast was lovely, but the teabags were awful and there wasn't coffee from a machine (only filtered coffee). Staff were kind but we did get told off once for having the kids run around in an empty lobby, shortly after our arrival which didn't feel very welcoming.
The bedroom was terrible. It was HOT, and the fan wasn't powerful at all. The toilet didnt have a lock, so you can imagine with 2 young children, there was absolutely no privacy! We got a family room, to accommodate 2 adults and a child and a cot. The room was such a squeeze. The room looked like a standard double with extra beds squeezed in. That's all well and good if you're there for a few nights but we were there for a week and it was suffocating. It was almost £200 a night so would have hoped for a larger room. There was also dog hair sticking to our clothes from the carpet.
The staff were lovely, nice bar area and a good breakfast
The only thing I didn't like was the lack of decent coffee, especially at breakfast.
No filter coffee, just individual sachets.
The location
The room was dirty , and £15 pounds a night for a small dog is ridiculous
I was disappointed with my stay. The shower mixer tap was broken, and although I reported the problem, nothing was done to fix it. The room was not clean, and there was no air conditioning or even a fan, which made it very uncomfortable. The breakfast was also poor and offered very little choice.
I really liked the town and the beautiful beaches. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the hotel.I would not recommend this hotel.
Spacious
Nothing
The hotel was super great, lovely staff nice and respectful. Breakfast was super good, nice and quick service. The rooms were nice we had a view over the car park, tea coffee was lovely and a wide range of foods to try. I have been there from Saturday the 15th to Sunday the 23 august and it was nice a peaceful. Definitely going back here again
