The hotel is great! The food is good, everything is very clean, and the staff are friendly. The spa area is also highly recommended. I had a back and neck massage with Chrysa and it was fantastic. She knew exactly what she was doing and it was very pleasant.
Excellent service and care with a delighfully relaxing experience. Breakfast and the evening meal buffet options were the perfect bookends to each day.
Stayed here for Viva Crete salsa holiday. A beautiful venue. We booked a room with a view of the water and were absolutely not disappointed with this, especially when the sun was setting. The room itself was fine other than the shower. There was a bath with shower head, but the only place to put the shower was on the far wall, so directing water at yourself without it spraying all over the bathroom was difficult. The resort is huge, so bring comfy shoes! Good food, other than the wasp filled honey bowls in the morning!
I can really recommend this place. I had a sports massage with Chrysa, and it was excellent. She adjusted the pressure perfectly — firm and effective, just as a proper sports massage should be — yet still very relaxing. Very professional and pleasant atmosphere. I’d definitely come back!
Kalimera Kriti Hotell & Resort just outside the little town Sissi on the North East side of Crete is a paradise. With its unique architeture built like a small greek village with lots of trees and flowers Kalimera Kriti is by far one of the most beatiful hotels in Crete. In addition a friendly staff always at your service make a stay at Kalimera Kriti to a perfect vacation for everyone even families with small children. Especially we would like to thank Athina, Despina and Aldrin, Nikki and Marwin for excellent service during breakfast and dinner. The food, vegetables, fish, meat, cheese, fruit and desserts are excellent with a selection that should make it possible for everyone, even the youngest, to be satisfied.
A lot of space for everyone in and around the pools for adults and children. This time we preferred to stay at one of the spacious beaches, also convenient for families, were we could enjoy the sun and bathing.
Thank you all staff at Kalimera Kriti for this visit and see you again next year.

I am going to write an honest review and be objective and non-bias as possible. Don't believe all the good reviews you read on here because many of them are bias, especially the good ones and how good the masseuse was (probably written by the masseuses themselves in order to increase the bookings for a massage in the spa). The tennis center right by the hotel is owned by Germans who work there so they are also probably the ones who keep adding good reviews about the hotel. Always look and pay extra attention to negative reviews.
First, Crete is way, way, overrated. From my experience the inhabitants of the island don't understand English well enough, and they are not service-oriented. All the beaches and most of the hotels are very mediocre. My previous vacation in Antalya, Turkey, was much better .
Relative to other hotels in Crete, Kalimera Kriti hotel has many advantages and it is one of the better hotels you are going to find in Crete, because it is a small, isolated hotel on a very large area, with a nice private beach, and nice view of the mountains. There is also a very big tennis center, with many clay courts that are well maintained, and some artificial grass courts.
They put me in Room H-109 the first few nights, but it was very noisy. The rooms in general are badly insulated in terms of acoustics. I could hardly sleep at night and there are also no blackout curtains. The white coating in the bathtub itself was peeling off and produced sharp scrapes , so I asked for a room change. It took them 2 nights to change me to another room. They transferred me to room M-34 which has no Wi-Fi reception, and even though I complained that there is no Wi-Fi at all in my room they never fixed it. I wasn't trying to be a "KAREN" but there were some serious issues with the rooms, but they refused to let me speak with the manager, so good luck with that…
The food was generally good- especially the breads, the baked-on-the-spot individual pizzas, and the desserts. I suspect that some of the fish and seafood were previously frozen and not fresh, because the octopus was too salty and so were the striped red mullets. Some of the shrimps may had been frozen shrimps that come from Southeast Asia (China/Vietnam) and not from the Mediterranean. I was there 5 nights, and unfortunately, they had carvery roast beef on only 1 night. I didn't eat the soups, even though I love soups, because they seemed to be made from recycled meat and/or vegetables from last night's dinner. The milk in breakfast was the ULTRA-pasteurized processed kind that has a shelf life of like 4 months so I didn't touch it even though I love a glass or two of fresh milk in the morning.
Almost all the guests in the hotel were Germans, which is plus, because Germans are generally polite and quiet. They rely on that their German guests recommend to other Germans about the hotel, so if you are not German, the hotel staff may treat you as a second-class (Grade B) guest, so beware of that. Council tax in the hotel is 15 Euros per night, and you must buy bottled water because there are no standing water dispensers or electric water coolers, at all. Booking a tennis court or even going to the gym is with a charge. They have a very big and long swimming pool, but it has no lanes or dark blue marking on its bottom floor, so one cannot swim laps in an adequate way, which is a shame, because I brought all my swimming gear with me.
😢
I recently had a full body massage and face cleansing procedure at Aegeospas, and I’m very satisfied with the experience. Ladies offering these service Chrysa and Marina both were such sinshines: professionall, friendly, attentive, and provided great care throughout the session, adivices, calmness, pati3nce.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, there was no waiting time, and I have also received a lot of useful advice and explanations. I felt truly rejuvenated afterward and appreciated the discount.
Thank you for the wonderful service!

A disappointing stay at the Kalimera Kriti Hotel and Village Resort, a supposedly 5* complex.
Will start with the positives:
Beautiful Greek village setting
Great 50m pool
Nice adult only pool
Plenty of sunbeds
Nice beaches
Friendly life guard and older gentleman at the beach bar
24/7 gym with a price
Negatives:
Disappointing room A145, would give this room a 2* at a push, grubby and outdated, floors never looked clean, bathroom towels grubby even after change and the bed never looked made or bed clothes changed
The clientele of 800+ are mainly German which are catered for with signage and entertainment
Food is mass produced and cold
Staff are rushed of their feet and come across as unfriendly
At dinner the only drinks on offer (for payment of course) is beer or bottled wine, if you don’t like these choices, tough!!
Sisi is a lovely place and much better to visit than staying in the village resort, friendly locals with nice food and drink options. 20 minute road walk from the hotel or a nice walk across the beach and rocks or €7 in a taxi.
To Malia by taxi €20 or €25 (depending on taxi driver) – old town nice for food
Our third recent trip to Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort turned out to be extremely traumatic for my son and I. Half way through our two week stay my son scalded his foot from the mixer tap in the bathroom causing extreme burns to his foot. The hotel hot water leaves the taps at 80 degrees celsius. This is incredibly dangerous. I understand that water held in a tank is normally held at high temperature to combat legionella, however when the hot water is then used in taps and showers it goes through a process of an anti-scald device. These devices are safety products that limit the maximum water temperature or reduce flow at high temperatures to prevent burns from hot water in showers, taps, and other outlets. They are crucial in homes, care facilities, and public restrooms, especially for the elderly, young children, and others with thin skin or physical challenges. Devices include simple outlet-mounted restrictors that limit flow, and thermostatic mixing valves that regulate the temperature at the point of use or within the entire system. These devices are not just limited to the UK but are essential around the world and are an essential item in all hotels and something that you would expect in a five start hotel. When the scald happened I follow the recommended procedure of running cold water over the foot for twenty minutes. The hotel doesn't have any qualified medical staff or even a medical point for advice and information or book to record the event. Luckily we befriended a hotel guest who was a doctor. He gave us great advice and help. When attending the wellness centre the staff observed my sons wounds gave no advice or help only plasters. Eventually I spoke with the hotels customer relations manager. I feedback our experience. She instantly denied that there was a problem with the hot water in the hotel. Infact she sent an engineer to test the hot water leaving the tap, who reported back that it was flowing at 80 degrees celsius. The customer relations manager said to me that this is fine and acceptable. For general use: A maximum temperature of 49°C (120°F) is recommended for tap water to reduce the risk of scalds. The doctors wife also informed the customer service manager that when her husband was showering if she turned the taps to use the water it would scald her husband. This proves that it's not an isolated incident. I was appalled by the lack of empathy for my son. We were treated incredibly badly and with complete and utter contempt. I was absolutely astounded and did not expect to be treated in this way. Not the service you come to expect from a five star hotel. I was told that a doctor would be at the Hotel the next day. The doctor did not turn up, we waited forty minutes, nothing was said to us even though the staff knew that we were waiting to see the doctor. Shockingly bad customer service. My son endured on our return to the UK a hospital trip to accident and emergency. Where he had a procedure involvingnitrous oxide and oxygen used as a pain reliever, used in child birth. Then three appointment to the burns unit. This whole event has been traumatic, made even worse by the management of the hotel. This temerature could be fatal to a baby or an elderly guest. Hot water can burn skin, with the speed and severity of the burn depending on the water's temperature; for example, at 70°C (158°F), a burn can occur in one second, while at 55°C (131°F), it may take 10 seconds, and at 50°C (122°F), it could take five minutes. To prevent scalds, it's recommended to set your home's water heater to 49°C (120°F) or lower. Thanks to Lukas & Christina for great advice, help and support. The hotel is incredibly picturesque, in tranquil surroundings. On our first two trips I could recommend highly enough, however all I would recommend if you visit Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort is be increbilbly mindful regarding the hot water. Don't expect staff to help if you get sick. There is no designated medical point, first aid kit and trained staff. Hopefully this will change.
The treatment was very relaxing. My massage was great.
Chrysa was my therapist, she is friendly and did an amazing work.
Last but not least - trotz Wärmelampen - ist das Essen beim Buffet selten wirklich "heiss".
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen definitiv wieder.
My experience at the Aegeo Spa was excellent.
Dimitrios Kosteas was very professional and listened to my concerns.
I will visit them again when I am here next time .
Amazing Hotel and Resort.
Excellent service from the staff who were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Our garden view room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We had a problem with a light switch which was dealt with promptly by the resident electrician.
The food was first class with a very extensive hot and cold buffet for breakfast and evening meals.
The hotel was exceptionally clean with well maintained gardens and grounds.
Our holiday was very relaxing and with two beaches and a choice of pools to sit by, what more could we ask for! We’ll be going back.
This was our 4th year taking our family holiday at Kalimera Kriti and it has never let us down. Facilities are perfect with both beach and pool on either side of you. What more can you ask for. Food was exceptional every single night. We had 9 nights and were never disappointed. Drinks were perfectly made and the bar staff ever attentive to your needs.
Would highly recommend staying at Kalimera Kriti as you want for nothing.
Reception staff forever helpful no matter what time of day or night they are always there to help.
We enjoy the welcome drinks evening as you get to meet Claudia and the head of entertainment.
Claudia is a delight to correspond with. Helping sort out and arrange everything that we requested. A dream supporting our fantastic family holiday.
A large complex set by the sea with access to lovely beaches. No shortage of facilities and easy access to food and drinks throughout the day & evening. Also a choice of pools. I am here with my wife and we are having a lovely relaxing holiday, it was difficult to find our way around on the 1st day with no signage and the small map we were given was difficult to follow but it soon comes together. A short taxi journey into Sisi was nice, which is full of restaurants, bars and shops with a charming feel to it especially by the harbour. We both booked a couple of treatments each at the Aegeo spa which was a very relaxing experience. I particularly enjoyed the men's facial with therapist Chrysa who was very knowledgeable, experienced and professional. I felt completely at ease.
There is entertainment and activities on during the day and evening both for adults and children and the team did a great job but was difficult to be involved or follow due to none of the presentation being in English.
Overall we are having a lovely relaxed holiday in a beautiful setting and I would recommend.
I had a very friendly massage therapist – Chrysa! :-) It was a pleasant experience with good pressure, especially on the neck. I can recommend! 🌟🌟🌟
10/10! My therapist name was Chrysa. She was really kind and gave me a great massage. The rest of the team is also really friendly and i really like their products! Will definitly recommend this spa!
