Kernos Beach

Positive things:
SEA: nice sandy beach with a very clean water. Sea getting deeper very slowly, so perfect for children.
BUILDINGS: nice context well integrated and with a flourishing nature around.
AREA OUTSIDE: nice for an evening walk.
SWIMMING POOL: big and very nice!
RESORT AREAS: many good areas near the pool, under the trees or near the restaurant to relax.

Negative things:
RESTAURANT:
A problem is the quality of what is cooked; it looked like a food cooked in a school canteen, not the one it can be expected from a 4 star hotel.
Food very repetitive and tailor made for German guests: beans, cobs, wurstel, fried onion rings, fried potatoes croquette, ...
Especially in the evening hard to eat and obliged sometimes to eat child food like chicken nuggets and fish fingers, together with same food. They were nice at the beginning but not after a while.
Same fruit ot mostly not local/not seasonal (pineapple, apples, pears, grapefruit).
RESTAURANT SERVICE:
When you order drinks before to sit for dinner you receive them after long time (After buffet picking and eating the meal!) Many times and not understable.
The waiter when changing the tablecloth and preparing the table took the salt and pepper and tried to put in my hands while preparing hands while preparing the tablecloth...are you joking?!?
Extra: I phoned at the reception and they told me that shower gel and shampoo are provided only at arrival. It's a 4 star resort and never heard this in all the hotels I stayed!

The hotel was good overall, the cleaning staff need to wipe the floor of rooms as it is dusty, they also need to add a box of tissues in each room.

Preis-Leistung top! Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Anlage sehr schön begrünt und weitläufig, sodass es nicht zu voll wirkt. Gutes Frühstück inkl. frischer Crepes- & Omlette-Stationen & Toller Sandstrand mit klarem Meer - inkl. hoteleigenen Sonnenliegen (die zwar gerne unerlaubt mit Handtüchern reserviert wurden, aber es gab immernoch genügend Plätze zur Auswahl). Rundherum viele Möglichkeiten zu Shoppen, diverse Restaurants zu besuchen. Wir würden wieder kommen.

From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly, helped with every request, and were simply amazing. The air conditioning in our room didn’t work, and they immediately moved us to another room. Everything we asked for, we received. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere, and the kids felt free to use the facilities at any time — even at night. We were invited to meals and greeted warmly throughout the hotel.

The food isn’t particularly rich, but it’s decent. We were on a family trip and spent most of the day outside, so it wasn’t a major issue. The location is excellent if you have teenagers, as they can walk in the evening to the nearby clubbing area. The only downside is that if your room is in the main building, there’s quite a bit of walking to get to the beach or the pool.

- Der Strand ist schön.
- Das reservieren der Liegen am Strand ist furchtbar. Man hätte doch pro Zimmer zwei Liegstühle samt Sonnenschirm vergeben können. Dann wäre dies kein Problem.

Sehr netter Service beim Buffet.

Un hôtel. Magnifique avec un beau et très grand parc magnifique. Une belle plage privée . Un personnel accueillant et sympathique.

The hotel room looked nothing as advertised. Not clean and disorganized. House keeping and other workers barged into the room at all hours. Would not recommend

Hotel calme avec acces plage de sable, nombreux transats, chambre propre avec literie correcte, dejeuner correct, environnement magnifique, grande piscine agreable, 2 petits cafes agreables et un 3eme accessible aux personnes externes. Pas d ascenceur ! Grand parking

Großartiger, feiner Sandstrand mit tollen Wellen und Lifeguard. Ausreichend Liegen, saubere und sehr große Pools.
Essen ist ausreichend und vielseitig. Gute Qualität. Preise für Getränke schon sehr hoch (0,2l Prosecco für 15€). Personal hilfsbereit aber nicht sehr freundlich (Ende der Saison?)
Warmwasser im Zimmer nicht immer vorhanden. Auch ein Wasserausfall war dabei (Toilette….).
WLAN nicht stabil aber überall vorhanden.

Très très bel hôtel avec plage privée superbe .
Personnel adorable . Buffet excellent et varié .
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour .
Nous étions en bungalow supérieur vue mer et donc la plage à deux pas ! Le rêve !

La struttura è bella, elegante, perfettamente inserita nel paesaggio naturale, molto bello il ristorante sul mare, vicino alla piscina e con diretto accesso alla spiaggia dove ombrelloni e lettini sono gratuiti. Le stanze sono moderne ed arredate con gusto, dotate di un efficiente isolamento acustico e termico.
Unico difetto è la mancanza nei bagni di un punto dove appendere gli asciugamani da doccia ed all'esterno di uno stenditoio per teli mare e costumi.
Il personale è stato davvero gentile ed il cibo di buona qualità e abbastanza vario.

Spacious room bungalow, huge pool, clean beach, plenty authentic greek food, beautiful flowers and traditional grounds. A bit annoying but no kettle to make tea or coffee in room, also no mirror in bedroom, was a challenge to dry hair and get ready for the evening from the bathroom mirror, lack of plug sockets. Cleaners did a good job, although not at a consistent time of day, so appearing early evening at door when you want a shower was not ideal. In the main restaurant the fresh fruit deteriorated in the second week of our stay and the general consistency of food from the previous week went down hill. However there is plenty of places on site to get good food and drink at different points of the day, we particularly enjoyed having a local beer from the bar overlooking the beach at the end of the day. Malia town is a short walk away providing plenty of nightlight and authentic eatieries. The evening entertainment at the hotel throughout our stay was very basic and lacked greek culture and fun! Nearby hotels certainly had much more to offer. The room although was in a lovely quiet part of the hotel and ticked many boxes, the view of the sea was very limited, not really what we expected from advertised and the money paid. The staff do favour the requests of the German clients being the main clientele however it did not ruin our stay and we made the most of our well needed holiday.

Le personnel est vraiment au top, l’accueil, la gentillesse,que ce soit à la réception, lors du dîner ou bien encore lors du ménage c’est un sans fautes.
Pour ce qui est des repas c’est assez varié et la nourriture est bonne.
Ensuite les piscines sont bien et propres.
Le jardin est superbe, manger avec vue sur la mer c’est génial.
La plage est bien c’est très pratique de pouvoir alterner en plus il y a des douches à la piscine des qu’on sort de la plage donc c’est parfait.
Le point négatif :
La literie il faudrait revoir les matelas et mettre des couettes au lieu de couvertures.

Unterkunft und Strand war super. Abendessen war immer sehr lecker und vielfältig. Das Frühstück war leider nicht sehr lecker.. (aufgrund Covid-19 kein Buffet)
Personal war sehr bemüht und freundlich. Im Grossen und Ganzen ein sehr gelungener Urlaub!

Buona la prima camera assegnata, cambiata ( perchè non al piano richiesto) con altra molto scadente nel vecchio blocco( porta del bagno che non si chiudeva, sciacquone rotto etc. parti comuni indecenti) e nonostante molti solleciti nessun intervento.
