Rethymno beatuy surprised my heart and staying at The Veneto was a big part of that joy.
Pros:

Incredible location in the heart of Rethymno Old Town on the most perfect strip of restaurants. You feel as if you are staying at a hotel that is part of one big family dinner outdoor gathering. Spectacular architecture with old monastery stone and loveliness, with the modern air conditioning and bathroom perks. Loved it. The entire Rethymno experience as a welcome surprise.

Cons:

Would be lovely if breakfast could go just a smidge longer. For us weary travelers who need a bit more time in the morning.

Die Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals. Die Zusammenstellung des Frühstücks.

Cons:

Spiegelei etc. waren kalt, war da die Wärmehaltung ausgeschaltet?
Die Bedienung war sich nicht ganz einig, wo man beim Frühstück sitzen darf: aber es hat sich alles geklärt.

Шикарный отель, все понравилось. Завтрак короткий по времени 8-10, я опоздал на 15 мин, успел поесть пока персонал мал по малу сворачивался...

Cons:

С парковкой в городе беда... к отелю невозможно подьехать, он в пешеходной зоне, за пределами которой припарковаться тоже челендж. Это относится не столько к отелю, сколько к планированию поездке в город в принципе...

Wonderful stay in a historic building.
Pros:

The property has so much character. It is really beautiful and in a wonderful location in the old town. The room size is fantastic, with a seperate sitting area to watch tv. The breakfast was lovely and a big thank you to Maria who made beautiful cakes every morning and was so welcoming. All the staff were lovely. We had dinner here one night in the laneway off the hotel and it was very good.

Cons:

The rooms are slightly dated but this didn’t take away from its charm. The mattress was too soft it felt like sinking in every time you sat on it.

Cons:

One very minor point - only instant coffee (as opposed to pods or filter) available in the bedroom. Coffee at breakfast was ok but not great.

The location was perfect in the heart of the city, everything is a walking distance. The hotel was also well decorated, like museum. The breakfest was also very good.

Cons:

Stairs to the room and the hotel does not have an elevator. For me it was not a problem, but for someone it could be one.
