Veneto Boutique Hotel

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful little boutique hotel, right in the middle of all the action in Rethymno. The room itself was lovely and came with a free bottle of wine. Staff was super friendly at check in and breakfast was fantastic. Just stayed for one night, but would’ve been quite happy to stay longer.

Hotel correcto, pero en realidad no es un hotel de 4 estrellas. Las instalaciones están un poco viajas, hay algunas cosas rotas. Cenamos en el restaurante y la comida estaba buena pero nos sirvieron un aperitivo que no habíamos pedido y nos lo cobraron. Los precios son baratos.

Sjarmerende hotell i et 600 år gammelt bygg i et stille område. Deilig middag med super servering, og god og variert frokost i sjarmerende omgivelser. At eier ga oss omvisning i hotellets vinkjeller, var også et pluss.

Ich weiß nicht, wo ich anfangen soll. Vielleicht beim einzig Positiven: Die gute Lage und das sehr alte Gebäude ist schön und man könnte gewiss etwas sehr Ansprechendes daraus machen. Leider hörte es beim Eingangsbereich und Innenhof auf, ansprechend zu sein. Das Zimmer (Junior-Suite) war… es ist wirklich schwierig, Worte hierfür zu finden. Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig, das gesamte Zimmer war abgewohnt und alt. Nicht „alt“ wie es in ein Gebäude aus dem 15. Jahrhundert gepasst hätte, sondern wirklich hässlich alt mit uralter Ausstattung, zerrissenen Vorhängen und Textilien, einem dreckigen Wasserkocher und Kühlschrank usw.

An Geschmacklosigkeit war das Zimmer sowieso nicht zu übertreffen.
Verstehen Sie mich nicht falsch: Alte Möbel bezeichne ich nicht als geschmacklos! Aber die gesamte Einrichtung sowie die Farben wirken so, als sei es in den 70er Jahren unangetastet stehengeblieben.
Weiter möchte ich vom Personal berichten: Sie haben eine 50/50 Chance an jemanden zu geraten, der freundlich ist. Besonders „nett“ war die Dame die uns abends bediente, als wir im Innenhof des Hotels noch etwas trinken wollten. Gekonnt ignorierte sie uns, nachdem wir das erste Getränk bekommen haben. Jeder Versuch, sie auf uns aufmerksam zu machen, verlief im Misserfolg unsererseits. Beim Bezahlen wurden wir dann zum dritten Mal gefragt, ob wir überhaupt Hotelgäste seien.
Das Frühstück war grauenhaft. Selbst der Kaffee war ungenießbar.

Awesome location for everything!

Disappointed with the hotel. Looks nice from the photos and from outside. Hotel staff is polite and helpful, however the hotel room is poorly maintained and not well maintained. Housekeeping also doesn’t seem complete, with no vanity items(eg cotton pads) at all, and water is also provided only on first day despite staying for 4 nights. Window catch is also spoilt so the window cannot be totally sealed. Also, the hotel said that 10% discount will be provided to hotel guests who dine at their restaurant (called Veneto Restaurant). When we dined there, we had made reservations beforehand and though the service seem
Pleasant and friendly, no discount was given. We asked once while
Paying the bill and were told that discount was already given. However we were not given a proper receipt, only had the total
Amount on the receipt with no breakdown. When we asked a second time, for the actual receipt with the items we ordered (instead of just a one-liner total), the waitress told us that she has thrown the receipt away and is not able to generate a copy for us. She asked us why we needed it and we thick-skinnedly explained again that we thought no discount was given to us. Again, the same waitress assured us discount was already given. We paid the amount as charged anyway but computed the bill on our own and realised that we were not given the discount, despite us asking twice and the restaurant confirming twice that they already did.

Located in the old town in Rethymno . The buffet breakfast was very good- several selections. Staff very friendly, helpful. The Sommelier went out of her way to help us find a good restaurant nearby as Hotel restaurant was not open yet. Lovely building with lots of character. Shelagh and Clark Russell

A lovely hotel in an old monastery building, in a great location at the heart of the city. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a room in the centre of Rethymnon.

Spacious and very comfortable accommodation in this ancient townhouse situated in the heart of the old town. Very happy with it and would highly recommend.

Beautiful European hotel. Quiet and comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property in a great location. Staff was very attentive. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection. It’s in a lovely walking section of the old city but there is parking at the Port parking lot about 5 minutes away. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location close to restaurants and sights. Clean, spacious rooms. Only annoying downside was the limited hot water for the shower which they supposedly switch to during low season. (10 min of hot water then 30 min before it's hot again)

What a wonderful property. If I come back I will make it my base to travel from. The alleys are vibrant and full of restaurants and is in the heart of the action. The restaurant is amazing as well.

The hotel is adorable and a great boutique hotel. Lots of character and charm. Staff were amazing.. I give it 10 out of 5. 4 hotels so far and 2 great and 2 not great. This was a great spot.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! So unique and right in the heart of Rethymno! Would recommend to anyone!!
